Have you listened to Tyler’s first album before twenty one pilots? It was called no phun intended..I think you would love the songs blasphemy, drown and save.
It was the kids mother at the beginning who was dying - you could see the dad took up alcohol to get through it and the kid created an older brother in his mind to help him get through all those things in life and give him courage - that's why at the end its showing him doing everything by himself - the "older brother" was never actually real It can be hard to catch on the first watch bc you're not ready for it! I know one or two of the things that happened in the video were things that actually happened to his cousins I believe - but I think the overall point of the song is Tyler is saying he's going to be there for his family no matter what - and I'd think Josh would be included in his family even though they aren't blood relatives This is also the only video they've done that doesn't star them - they just have a small cameo at the party
@@gametchanger I'd recommend doing "The Hype" and then immediately after in the same reaction, do "The Hype Berlin" - it may be a longer reaction than normal but you'll want to do them together - they both have official music videos - the first version will be the studio version, while the second version is Tyler re-creating the song before a concert
@@ericstockman7405 great shout Eric!!! The Hype and then The Hype Berlin straight after would be fire! I’ve seen a couple of reactors do this in one video and it’s great! I actually prefer the Berlin version!!!
I get chills EVERY time I Watch this. Into me it has so many meanings. For me, it’s to my brother. He might not see me because we are hundred of miles apart but I am ALWAYS there with him. But to Tyler I feel it’s the duplicity of himself. His weak half and his strong half. In the end there is a time for both. Love TOP.
tyler said he wrote this song for his niece after she was born and he was feeling super proud and protective of his family. The verse about 'people posting up at the end of your driveway' was based on a story about some of his cousins where the louder one went off at a rival football team and they turned up at his house and his younger, quieter brother knew karate and went outside and 'took care of buisness' for his older brother. Tyler said he knows his hands are to soft to punch anyone so he would need a bat to defend his family. Bit different to the story they told in the music video, think it was something the director came up with and Josh and Tyler thought it was fun.
my go is he imagined that brother as a way of a coping mechanism after the death of his mum and then he learnt to live this way and started getting better facing the truth.
Idk if it’s just me but before I was saved I thought that this was a made up friend/brother that helped him get through life BUT now I see it as Jesus Christ and how he’s always there to help us. He never fails us and is kinda like that big brother that fights the battles for us because he loves us. It’s a beautiful story however you look at it.
Also in the Bible, Daniel 6:1-28 tells a story of the prophet Daniel, who was thrown into a den full of lions as punishment for not worshiping Darius, the king of Persia. Daniel prays for God to save him from the lions, and God sends an angel to protect him. Tyler is saying that he’ll be that “guardian angel” for Mía (his niece), even willing to “bomb down” and “pull his pin”, which is how grenades are activated.
Which twenty one pilots song should I react to next? Post below & God Bless!
