The Russos said in an interview that Cap could always lift Thor’s hammer. In Age of Ultron, he faked not being able to lift it because he’s humble and didn’t want to steal Thor’s thunder (pun intended). His good & humble nature is what always made him worthy.

I was in the theater watching Avengers Endgame, everyone and I mean EVERYONE started cheering when Cap caught Mjolnir after it hit Thanos in the back, when the portals began to open and when Cap finally said the words "Avengers, assemble". And there was definitely a collective tear shed when both Natasha and Tony passed away, even though they did it heroically. Natasha died to allow Hawkeye to collect the Soul Stone, and Tony died after snapping out Thanos and his army in order to give his daughter Morgan and everyone else a chance to live in a beautiful world with as minimal an amount of conflict as possible. Still two of the saddest deaths in the MCU, but they were a heroic purpose.
That final shot of T’Challa looking at the fireworks over his country while holding his sister and mother is what I see as the true last scene of Chadwick in the MCU. I know he shows up at Tony’s funeral, but that brief scene of him home with his family always makes me cry. *REST IN POWER CHADWICK*
I think Natasha's death hits me harder than a lot of the other moments that are supposed to get us in the feels. Aside from the fact I'm a Scarlett stan, and that Black Widow is one of my favorite characters, there's something about someone who lives in a state of regret, too much red in the ledger, too few connections, and no ties to speak of, making sure they're the one to sacrifice their life over anyone else for the greater good that speaks to me. Making the greatest difference in redemption is a hell of a way to go. RIP Natasha Romanoff
Same! Nat's death hits me in my feels too. Her looking up and saying "let me go" and Hawkeye practically begging her not to do it, breaks my heart. She was such a fascinating character with so much untapped potential from a writing/story perspective
The sort of blonde kid, standing alone near Wanda at Tony's funeral, is the kid that helped Tony after Killian 'The Mandurin' blew up his house in Iron Man 3
this film was the end of the infinity saga that started with the first iron man, everything after this, aside from spiderman far from home which is considered almost an epilogue to the saga, is considered the multiverse saga
Favorite MCU movie: Endgame Favorite MCU franchise: Captain America series Favorite MCU character: Tony Stark Favorite MCU crush: Natasha Favorite way to describe the MCU after Endgame: It's all downhill from here.
Fun Fact: Robert Downey Jr was the only one who read the entire script and the scenes where he's eating snacks and offers them to his costars were all improvised.
The Avengers Endgame was a sad movie. The Avengers learn what they were going through like Thanos did from Infinity War. They didn't expect Black Widow died. And Iron Man's death make everyone to have tears.
Im thinking that if Captain America did return the Soul Stone to Vormir and RedScull, shouldnt that also be a Soul for a Soul and Natasha should be given back for the Soul Stone to be returned. Just my thoughts. Tom Holland was told before the filming of Tonys funeral that it was going to be a wedding and not a funeral so he wouldnt spoil it when he did interviews about the movie. I dont know if someone else metioned this but I Love You 3000 means I love You More Than Anything Else and the number 3000 in this case is a reference to the 3000 min combined runtime of the MCU movies upto this point. Infinity War & Endgame will not be beaten just perfect 👌. MCU Ladies that was 1 of Ur best Reactions and to 1 if not the best MARVEL Film ever. Ps I was at the Theatre to see this Classic 😎.
Tony and Captain America were the top heroes of this film. And even Antman who developed the idea to save them all. As sad as it is Magy and Luara, the marvel cinema goes on. 😢❤
There are dark endings, exciting endings, mindblowing endings, happy endings, Hollywood endings... but the greatest endings are bittersweet endings. They just hit different. Edit: And then Magy goes and makes the same point rendering this comment redundant. lol
Im such a big fan of your Marvel reactions since first. I hope you will watch Loki Series, its the continuation of what happened to Loki after he got the Tesseract in Endgame hehe
It was ALOT forced. Having said that not sure how you pull of that "idea" in this scenario and not have it feel feel forced. I’ll never forget that opening weekend. Watching it in sold out IMAX screenings, seeing a full crowd of lines outside the theater, and cheering like a Super Bowl game was an experience like no other. My number one all time theater experience. And hearing/reading the news about the box office records Endgame broke, including beating Avatar to be the biggest film of all time (even though Avatar retook that title 2 years later) was just so awesome. This was a historic finale to the MCU and really closed a lot of stories and ended likely the biggest movie cliffhanger of all time.
2:36 not just tired but hungry, thirsty - you can see how malnourished he is. They did a beautiful job with the credits, making sure everyone from the MCU got highlighted. Thank you for the beautiful reaction, commentary and discussion, for this fantastic journey, you did a wonderful job ❤
You know it’s very interesting if you think about it , when Tony was saying “And i am Iron Man” Thanos had plenty of time to run at him and try to take the stones away but he didnt cause he was so shocked and maybe even a little impresed by the fact that Tony took all the stones from him. I guess this is the reason why out of all the Avengers Thanos respected and acknowleged Tony the most (i mean sure , he respected and acknowleged Steve and Thor too , but still , my point stands) cause of out of all of them he was the smartest and the most unpredictable one out of all of them , i mean Tony’s whole arc as a character has been of him being unpredictable in both good and bad ways. Thanos always saw Tony as a major threat to his plans cause he knew how complex he was , complexity can be dangerous , but despite his fault’s Tony always tried to do the right thing. Iron Man -- The definition of an unpredictable SuperHero , Rip to him , the MCU hasnt been the same without Tony and Cap , i miss them. Avengers Endgame will always be in my heart , what a movie 🥹
I know there's more after this, but everything past this point feels so disjointed, and like there hasn't been a single consistent narrative since Endgame. I can't recommend continuing past this perfect ending. Unless you want to see the final guardians movie, to wrap up that story as well.
I remember going straight to the theater after work to see this. I didn't buy popcorn or a drink. I didn't want to miss one bit. Tony and Nat's death still gets me. Cap is my favorite Avenger, so seeing him kick Thanos' ass with Mjolnir was a big highlight. And when the portals start opening, everyone was got emotional. When Cap said "Avengers..." I was like "Say it! Say it!" And then, "...assemble." My best friend told me I was the first to jump out my seat and cheer before everyone else followed me. Nothing will top this experience.

Whenever I see him emerge from the portal and the way he looks at Cap, gives me goosebumps every time.
Laura's reaction to Cap actually being able to use Thor's Hammer was really special. Thanks, ladies. Truly an epic movie, and series of movies.
What a ride. Phases 1-3 can't be matched even by Marvel. This is the pinnacle of the MCU. Set your expectations low from here on out lol
It's almost good Eternals was so terrible. It lowered the bar enough for me to appreciate a lot of what followed. There are some gems in there.
