    3600mAh battery, operating time in high mode is 2h15min, i.e. current consumption is around 1.5A, because it is known that a battery with lower voltage means lower efficiency. You can squeeze out about 500lm from a current of 1.5A. So I guess that 1800lm drops after a dozen or so seconds and after a few minutes we have about 400lm and it stabilizes in this area. Creators and experts in electronics and flashlights reading this comment will know, and for the rest it's magic 😁

    • @whatfreedom7
      @whatfreedom7 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      So it’s not really a 1800 lumen light for any decent time then?

    • @stefanp5261
      @stefanp5261 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@whatfreedom7Unfortunately, maximum power, which is usually the "turbo" mode, regardless of the manufacturer. This is the power available for several to several dozen seconds. Then, depending on the model, the power drops by 30-85%. Turbo is NEVER stable power. Interestingly, the HIGH mode, despite the possibility of stabilization, is also not static/stable. The possibilities for manipulating flashlight technical data are endless. Every manufacturer does it..
      However, some people provide a working time chart like Fenix or how long the turbo and high mode lasts like Olight. Although the actual power is demonstrated by independent testers. In this price range, company data usually differs little from an independent test (but this is not a rule).

    • @stefanp5261
      @stefanp5261 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@whatfreedom7An additional marketing trick is the "ANSI Standard". It sounds serious like someone would have to scrutinize a high-quality flashlight, which theoretically confirms the real data. Nothing could be further from the truth. The standard only mentions the maximum power measured after 30 seconds and a drop of up to 10%. I came across a product with a maximum power of 320lm. When the flashlight was turned on, it started at about 360lm and after 30 seconds it was 320lm and within about 20 minutes the power dropped to 75lm. 10%=32lm. And within 5 hours the power dropped from 75lm to 32lm, meeting the standard. The manufacturer provided information "working time in 320lm mode is 5.5 hours". This is what "data on paper" vs. reality looks like.

    And by the way, the "high" mode also means this kind of text doesn't mean anything. It's actually a turbo, because the power will probably start to drop after a dozen or so seconds and drop to around 500lm after a few minutes, but who would go into details?

    I would NEVER buy one with built-in battery, so this one might be added to my collection. Sadly, they say it is an 1836R battery, which I can not find any reference to, glad you said it is a 18650, since that's what I use in many of my lights, although the last few use the 21700. Having really bright is mostly just a game, oh look at me, I'm bright, but in most applications, it is not needed, plus shortening the run time and being so hot is not all that attractive. I would much rather have it do like 50 and 500 lumen, this way much longer run time, much cooler, and longer led life. By the way, I don't have Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.

      More and more people are aware of various topics. Unfortunately, companies and governments manipulate to gain their customers. You can choose from three flashlights with a high 500lm mode and one lasts for 5 hours, the second for 8 hours, and the third for 10 hours. People will most often choose the one that runs for 10 hours because they do not know that after half an hour the timer will reduce the power to 230lm. This is how producers make fun of customers.

    • @stefanp5261
      @stefanp5261 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      A double scam comes when someone thinks that if the turbo is temporary and high reduces the power by 50-60% after half an hour, then the medium mode of 200lm will be stabilized. And here again, after 1.5 hours, the power drops to 100lm so that the data on paper are relatively proportional.. The NU33 model has similar technical measures installed😂😂😂

    I would like to live to see the creation of a flashlight like the EDC33-35, which has a cool light, not yellowish or greenish. It has a replaceable battery and a rear switch. In addition, the high, medium and low modes are stable from the moment they are turned on until the end. So that you can switch to flood and spot mode separately or both at the same time. For example, three-click changes between modes, or double-click and three-click means turbo. Ahh dreams. Maybe my grandchildren will see it lol😂

      Side switches are a major pain, for me, rear switch only. And yes, a good white light, like 5000 k, not yellow or blue. Replaceable battery only. Spot to flood is super useful. I have one light that has a user interface that I like more than any other that I have(and I have dozens and dozens of them) If you press the button once, it starts on high, if you hold the button for like 1.5 seconds, it starts on low. Once it is on, if you touch the button, it goes off, if you hold the button, the brightness ramps up/down, and it has wide/flood. It was a cheap light, other than having a side switch, it was great. I used it at work for several years, and it was used multiple times per day, it finally quit, and none of my others work like that, and yes, I have a few that ramp up/down, but they all start on high, often I want low from the start, so that light could do that. Yes, many have memory and can start from low if left there, but being able to select before the light even came on was the best. I even have one with the ring you turn, so you can start at any level, but it's still not as quick and easy. If any mfg makes one like that, I will buy it today.

    There is any notable difference in tint between the high and low level?
    I'm asking because my MT2A Pro, the EDC33, and the MH25 Pro - all with the Nitelab LEDs - are visibly greenish at the lowest levels. I EDC the P20iX and the P23i - a flooder and a thrower - and they have a lovable white tint.

    I wonder how many customers there are for such a flashlight, because for me three modes are the minimum. It could be 5-15lm when holding the button and normal switching on is 200-250. With such a focused beam, it makes sense to me. And this turbo is already known to be temporary. And the tactical one should have direct access to the strobe max. This would probably be the minimum for a tactical and functional flashlight with a limited scope (very focused light beam).
