This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard, sung my anyone. I found it on a very random CD at the Salvation Army, and fell in love with her voice. The color is so gorgeous....What a big voice. She seems like a spinto to me.

quante arrancano ...urlando come mondine...lei in questi momenti gioca sulla sua capacità Superba di fraseggiare con una facilità da Pucciniana di rango...il finale da antologia .La chiusa elegiaca e sospesa di una madre ancora incredula del suo fato avverso . Brava!
Maria Chiara una divina creatura scesa sulla terra per la delizia di noi appassionati dell Arte Lirica. Voce tecnica presenza al massimo livello!!! Sono stati davvero fortunato di averla potuta ammirare molte volte all Arena di Verona! Grazie di ❤👍per il filmato
grande controllo... rubati molto efficaci..grande capacità di mezze voci ...e la squillante salita verso la zona acuta senza urlare...mai un ruolo sbagliato..e molti Ruoli Killer rifiutati...credo perchè come già la Tebaldi..le sue scelte erano ponderate e non credo avesse la smania di primeggiare...ma di essere sempre all'altezza dei ruoli...ascoltata in quattro opere..sempre molto coinvolgente e sicura...Aida; Odabella, Manon Lescaut, Liù, .....e Infine Tosca.
Una maravilla. Tuve el placer personal de oirla en este rol en el Teatro Colón en 1983, donde también demostró ser una suprema intérprete verdiana en Simon Boccanegra. Con Suor Angélica hizo delirar al público con una doliente y desgarradora versión como no creo que se vuelva a escuchar. Una grande, de verdad. Gracias por este video.
@voizovrsn It's a matter of a taste, finally, Madonna also has her fans and they as well would "boooo" at anyone who would dare to say she isn't great... Regarding the knowledge, should you have listened to more renditions of this piece, I am sure you wouldn't argue that way. Again, the fact that someone wants the black to be white or vice versa doesn't change the reality at all...
@robertdonkers I don;t care whether you consider it silly or not to compare both performances. But for sure it is not a sign of a wisdom or of a good taste to insist this performance deserves such a strong "protection". Sorry again, this is not the air or maybe was not the day for Maria Chiara, but one cannot say "this is white" if it's not! Very simple, sorry for that!
Compare it to the version of unforgetabble Ghena Dimitrova and then speak how "great" this rather ordinary performance is. Not a drop of a feeling in it, I am sorry!!!
