Endeavor could still make diamonds but not with coal. Natural coal has far too many organic impurities for that to work. He'd need a chunk of pure carbon in order to make a diamond with his powers. Your "control the sun" idea is funny but it does bring up a good question. Could Endeavor control plasma? Both fire and plasma are heated gas but plasma is something else entirely. Have any thoughts about that?

12:03 Concrete has a similar melting point to iron, and Endeavour was able to CHOP, not melt, an entire building with his flashfire. So he can melt metal but how would it let him control aka meld metal? It would be very limited
If you've ever seen a building behind built you know it has multiple metal supports to reinforce the concrete. So endeavor has already very easily cut through metal and concrete at the same time
I'd argue he hasn't. He's gotten noticeably stronger since becoming #1, he's able to use FlashFire more consecutively than he previously could, he has greater control and power, and if you remember during the fight against Hood he could only keep himself from falling not actually fly, but during the liberation war he was able to actually fly at high speeds and fire off multiple powerful FlashFire attacks
Based on what I heard in this video the hellfire quirk is extremely powerful and if it wasn't even awakened yet who knows what endeavour could be capable doing? Would he able able to use blue flames like regular fire without any trouble? Would his heat resistance increase by a ton? Would he become like the sun itself and would be able to incarnate an entire city? He's powerful as it but imagine if he wasn't even scratching the surface of his full potential.
I have a question, endevour's quirk, shown multiple times is fire, and yes, fire technically can push them in the air, but his quirk does not have pressure, if it did, his fight with the nomu would have resulted in him being catapulted towards a tremendous distance, miles or even kilometres from the battle. not only that but he somehow is levitating in one spot. think about it, with real-life physics in this anime, there is almost none, like when spaceships launch, the pressure and firepower make it go into the air, and the pressure and firepower stays the same, if Endevour were to levitate with his flames, he would have to constantly change the pressure he can release to stay in one position, due to physics, since once an object gets off the ground with pressure, the only way for it to stop is to reduce it, making the thought that endevour's fire coming out his feet could not be the same heat and consistency

At the same time though, i wonder if Endeavor is the only one to blame for his family situation. Rei Todoroki is a member of the Himura clan after all. What if they planted the seeds of him wanting to try making a stronger kid. And in turn, they would gain wealth, power, and influence because of him. And knowing that they could keep heteromorphic types out and that their power would overrule others.
When you realize Endeavor was attempting to recreate OFA version with his quirk by passing it off to his offspring because of his limitations....The Himura family also developed their quirk for multiple generations as well.....
Mmm, actually not Coal, but carbon. To get diamond from a material you need to have not just a high carbon content but as pure a form of carbon as possible or you won't get diamond. Pencil graphite would work amazing well because it is already carbon, and the Earth makes diamond from this stuff anyway. Just saying.
