Here is another big thing that has the potential to seriously increase its power. Mr. Compress has been shown the ability to keep people in his marbles for HOURS. Even Bakugo was in there for a good 30 min. The area compressed into a sphere only has enough air in it though to keep someone alive for a few minutes at best. Add that to the fact that people like Bakugo who are removed from it shown no awareness of what happens outside and Compresses predilection for uses his quirk for medical evac and there is a decent chance that time doesn't pass inside the marble for people OTHER than Mr. Compress.
One thing you missed in the horror section is one hero who has sand as their quirk, if memory serves, was trapped in a marble by Mr. Compress. Only the league knows that he is still alive in the marble but the media had declared him dead. I think being stuck in a little blue marble indefinitely while your friends, family, etc believe you're dead and you're unable to tell them you're actually alive is truly terrifying.
Compress could be rich. He could start a small lottery game: "A large machine that mixes the marbles and then drops one. Then Compress would turn the marble back into its object, it could be low shit like rocks, coal bronze, but like in a 11.000 number of marble, only a few would have gold.

I'm surprised Hori Koshi hasn't thought of the idea of using a tool to shoot out the marbles as a gun, it's almost to brilliant to not have happened yet. Another way to elevate that concept is to have his prosthetic arm have mini cannon at the tip of it's fingers to shoot out those marbles so that his other arm can be used for more marble shenanigans!
He probably thought about it. But it's important not to complicate quirks from secondary characters too much, since it can make action scenes harder to follow. Plus Mr. Compress is very committed to his magician spiel, and gun hands doesn't match that aesthetic.
I feel like for his potential there's something that could've been even worse. If he was able to, like Shigaraki, compress objects that seemed incorporeal or like air. Such as when Shigaraki decayed Rededestro's weird long range stress attacks. This would basically mean Compress could compress things like fire and other long ranged attacks, which gets rid of his worst match-ups.
I'm trying to think of uses for compress. But it really does feel like a quirk only fit for crime. For every day use I could... Compress my backpack? Compress my lunch, maybe. Eh. Oh hey. If I can't get hurt inside the marble, I can compress myself and then ask someone to shoot me away with a slingshot. Or have a drone carry me. Could be cool-ish.
i think it could be a really good hero quirk. preferably with a partner, you could be thrown as a marble to touch and catch villains, evacuate civilians, get rid of rubble, and even protect yourself from enemy attacks
@@nicerock5506 Oh yeah! Or working in the transport business. Imagine how many people you could fit in a plane if they were all marbles. A box full of marbles can fit more people than an entire bus would. It's hardly first class accommodations, but you know.

@@danielsurvivor1372 I was wondering that. If you are unconscious in the marble it's even better. Plus planes need to move slow cause people are fragile meatsacks. If they are inside a marble, you can just load people onto an freaking missle. Now that's travelling with style. Hell just imagine the applications for space exploration! You can fit weeks worth of supplies for the international space station into like, 4-5 marbles.
This Quirk is actually an inspiration for a Quirk that I came up with if I were ever to get one. I call it Pocket and it would allow the user to shrink objects they touch to a microscopic level and store them in an indestructible space hidden within one of the user’s palms. Each Pocket would have a maximum volume of 2 cubic meters in each palm, the weight of the objects stored in them are negated and the user is fully aware of everything that’s stored in their Pockets. The downsides are the limited space and nothing living can survive being put into the Pockets.
This is actually REALLY shitty written franchise. My guess is children are getting most of the revenue in, so when they get older they’ll notice literally every scene is superficial with zero depth.
This is a great Analysis of compress’s quirk, he has used a gun before maybe not in canon but in the game my hero justice 2 he has used a gun (I’m not sure on the type) to shoot marbles before in one of his final moves 👍 This video was amazing good job!
I just thought of this potential he can capture the entire city then capture Dabis flames than he can Let go of the flames and when there mid way through he lets go of the city so the flames are bigger than the city for a few moments then he re-captures both of them in the same marble and the city get set ablaze
Yeah he has great destructive potential but doing that would place a very big target on his back and he doesnt have many defensive options, hes better a a stealth surprise support for his team, if he had gone around compressing limbs and crushing people they would have killed him

So if mr compress can compress himself, in the episode where Mr compress fights best jeanist why doesn't he compress himself to escape the threads? Instead he compresses chunks of his flesh
What if you filled a backpack with the marbles and then compress it does that mean you have infinite storage Edit: what if you put a bolder in a marble and then feed it to someone an then uncompress it inside them the bolder would rip though the person’s body as it expanded and kills them
The nen system is so freaking elegant I just can't avoid thinking about it when dealing with any type of magic system anymore. Togashi really hit it out of the park with that one.

mr compress is such an underrated character imo
He should've been wayyy more of a threat than what he was, he's got main villain potential

In theory yeah, in practice the black hole would destroy him before he got close enough to activate his quirk.
