My wife and I are both older above 69 years old we had a good experience with a Prius 2011 before and wanted to buy a new Prius with all the additional safety features at the end of 2020 we went to our local Toyota dealer and asked to be directed to a Prius with all the safety features he directed us to the 2020 Prius prime plug in hybrid limited the most expensive Prius
We took his advice thinking it was the most expensive it most be the one with the most safety features the 2021 model was available and was there in stock All the 2021 Prius models have the tss 2 safety sense the most advanced safety feature in the market all the 2020 models have a safety sense tss P a very dangerous feature the car is very difficult to keep in lane the side mirrors are positioned even with my shoulders and i have to turn a lot to see the warning light causing the car to veer toward the direction i have to look at to see the warning light The car has a lot of other major issues but these features are the most dangerous BYER BE AWARE EVEN IF YOU ASK

Hi. For safety rules the stop order is mandatory over the run. No machine should run by her mind. The prius breaks, acelarate and full stop by ir self. What else?

why the artificial limits? it ought to be adaptive throughout the entire spectrum, not limited to above 25mph or disabled if varied by 10mph

So this is not useful for stop-and-go traffic like the Subaru adaptive cruise control. The Subaru can go from 60 to 0 and then restart when traffic moves again (e.g., in Los Angeles traffic).

No, it doesnt. Once the car stops the cruise control disengages. This system is full speed for 2017, which will stop the car but once it stops you have to resume speed and reset the cruise. Subarus system does not resume once it actually stops.

No where near as nice as the Subaru as noted above,
and also the Subaru will apply the brakes when going down a steep hill to maintain speed or distance even below 25 mph.
And cutting out at only 10 mph below the set speed severely limits its application.
Come on Toyota you can do better.
Please - I need to replace my Prius.
PS And surprisingly we've found the Subaru's even 5 mph increment more convenient than 1 mph clicks to adjust set speed.
(You can always set a specific speed using the gas pedal. )
And this feature allows you to use the speed set button like a paddle shifter to slow down for tight corners or going downhill.

It maintains speed up hill and down hill, and will come to a complete stop if needed. What was written above was false. The subaru will NOT resume speed after a stop.

Not too helpful if going through a 25 mph school zone! The Camry was able to do that.

Why did Toyota take something as simple as cruise control and make it into a complete hassle? Somebody really overthought this process and it has turned out to be the one black mark on our purchase of the Rav4!
