That's a nice breakdown of the differences between the two cameras. Thanks. I was able to see an X4 at a store today, and I was a bit bit taken aback at how big it looked. I knew it was bigger than the X3, but seeing it in real life brought home just how MUCH bigger it was. It seemed quite chunky by comparison. Luckily, as far as I can tell, it is only around 20 grams heavier. So that's a relief. 180 grams for the X3 and 201 grams for the X4 are the numbers I saw.
The one thing I want to know is if the X4 is dramatically better in low light on overcast days. That's my biggest issue with the X3. It works best in very bright, sunny conditions. But once the sun goes behind a cloud or you're on some darker streets with shade around, the video quality falls apart badly. If the X4 is better in that regard, it would be a worthy upgrade.
