Love how Simon said ‘watch your head everyone’ when he was going down the steps to the basement! It felt like we were with him following along.

Spanish as a 2nd language here. Born & raised in Southern California. Studied Spanish from age 10 through high school & university.
Just for the love of the language, people, many cultures
Wasn't a Spanish major in university, but I think the only time I wasn't in a Spanish literature class was the last part of senior year of university.
I'd worked at least 2 jobs, plus scholarships & grants, & I was tired by then!
      That was many decades ago.
And I still have 1 friend (not from back then) who speaks only Spanish.
Had I not been supporting myself since age 17, Portuguese would have been next.
      Then Italian!
I very much enjoy hearing other languages spoken!
1 daughter-in-law is originally from Bulgaria. When she talks to her immediate family, they switch to Bulgarian.

@@homerooster4022my French sucks, Spanish and Italian less so but Dutch, Friesian, German, Gaelic, Arabic, Greek, Hebrew and Kurdish would be hopeless. I don’t judge Yannis for being ESL as he’s far ahead of me and deserves kudos for his great courage to move abroad and learn trades and language when he’s no longer a kid.

Metal detecting has to be a fun thing to do. The ROI on equipment and effort doesn’t measure up. The basement after 150+ years will be pocked with your efforts. Nuns around the world are pretty frugal, doubtful you find much for precious metal in the basement. Happy finds!

The stained glass in Yanis's bar is beautiful. An idea to utilize it in the convent would be to place the stained glass doors horizontally high on the interior hallway wall upstairs where you plan to create bedroom suites. The stained glass would be a clerestory window, bringing colorful light into the rooms from the windows along the newly created hallway.

I think the problem with the sound recorder is equalizing. It will pick up a sound and dial the volume up or down, depending on the level of noise. So a jet engine will be tuned down, a squeaking mouse will be tuned up. And they both sound alike in the recordings... Maybe what we've heard so far were very quiet sounds just tuned to the max.

BILLY! All the leftover wood and wood chips also saw dust instead of being thrown out can be chipped for the horses and save Sadie a bundle of money. Just pass the magnet over it to make sure not nails or metal bits.

This may sound a bit strange but has anyone noticed what beautiful MAN HANDS Simon has! His skin is so very nice and the shape of his fingers are quite lovely for a man who works so hard with his hands! Incredible!😊

That metal detector sound reminded me of the Clangers who live on their own planet 😂😂
That area in the garden where your finding the medallions and crosses, could it be a garden of remembrance where the ashes were scattered after cremation?

In France cremated remains must be buried in a cemetery or entombed in a mausoleum or columbarium. Nuns, as devout Christians would see burial as the only path towards Resurrection and the Day of Judgement.

I'm convinced the halls with former nun rooms are haunted. It's the only area that makes noise late at night. Doors slamming and no one is there!

Alex tomorrow, when you get to the convent, can you PAN outside the window of Room 23 to see what is outside there?
Because I'm wondering if the noise might be coming from outside.
