If you decide to build one of these, make it only 5-10 watts! Excessive heat can lead to carbon buildup on the tip. Through some experimenting after the fact I can now say 7-8 watts should be ideal for getting the highest range of shades on a plotter using the 28BYJ-48 stepper motors. If you want your power output to be adjustable you could easily combine this engraver with the PWM controller circuit from my other video (th-cam.com/video/CcMiGZUzITo/w-d-xo.html)
Bro, recently I built a cnc machine which can able to mill the PCB, engraves the wood and able to use as plotter. But the problem I have is when iam using inkscape for plotting any picture or text , it represents the z-axis (trace line) too, but it works fine with PCB and wood milling. Can you please tell me what to do to get rid of it😢.
@@suryavamsiy The pen is servo driven? Then it's probably because the start/stop spindle command is missing in your G-code. I covered that in this video: th-cam.com/video/s47uF0DVW1g/w-d-xo.html If the pen is just mounted to the spindle you'll probably need a different G-code extension that converts the on/off of the pen into an actual Z-axis motion
Ive never expected to find someone whos on a tighter budget than me. :D I like that you're not wasting ressources and building new stuff from it. When i was young i were in a similar situation but i had zero access to a workshop, so i turned my tiny room into one. :D Anyway... now im a adult and still be broke, so i have to re use parts vom any device or machine i can find! Tinkering arround with electronics and teaching yourself about this stuff will help you when you are grown up, even if you dont work in a job which includes working with electronics, you can make alot of side money when you are able to fix things! If you were located near me i would gift you my CNC 3018, i dont use it that often and i think its better when you are owning it. :D So text me if you ever travel to Germany!
Haha yeah, my budget is a bit ridiculous, somehow money's the hardest thing to make :p Yes, my room was how I started out too! But after I dropped a big piece of plywood smashing a huge dent in the laminate flooring I got allocated that basement room for my woodworking efforts 😂 Now my room's become the electronics lab and office. My dad was always a huge scrooge, so I learned to make the best of whatever trash I had access to pretty early on - in hindsight an incredibly valuable skill to have! Though I am grateful to be, in a way, privileged by my parents owning the house of course. Otherwise it would be much harder to make videos like this... Thanks for offering your CNC, but you can keep it :) I actually intended to build one for years and now I've finally gathered all the parts and finished the design. May just take a while till I get around to actually building it :D
hi can we put laser module block behind the pen block so that i will have a cnc with double head, and its very useful for 3d printer behind the extruder we put a scanning module so that we can scan the piece then 3d print of the scanned piece to make a copy of the piece

@@suryavamsiy I'm sorry I don't understand the problem from your description... Also I don't have any experience working with 3 axis machines 🫤
@@ChronicMechatronic Bro, my machines pen doesn't moving up and down while drawing any of the image.

It is so satisfying to see how wood is engraved with such a high precision cheap CNC

Awesome work. i enjoyed that a lot.
this channel is underrated
Excellent job man, you should consider, creating a mod for vinil cutting like a Cricut or a Silhouette machine.
Т...т...тесак?
Always so much practical information I learn from you! thanks man!
too good for just 4K subscriber
Very nice!
This is amazing!
We are eagerly waiting for 3d print 🙃
Yes, yes, Feb 28th if everything goes well... :)
Possible machine diagram
14:29 hour to make , what about 1 week of curing Time for new tips 🤔
1 hour of work I guess 😁
Also, I actually force dried mine overnight at ~50°C since I literally only had 2 weeks to make the video 😜
How's your 3d printer doing?
Currently not much. Caught a cold last week so I haven't been filming since, instead doing some CAD and designing stuff for future episodes...
please complete the 3d printer 🤩🤩
