I have followed your tutorial exactly, but when I adjust de vref to 0.22 on motor drivers my chip arduino began to heat and It began to smoke, so I think it was burned.
The chip burned is ams1117 5.0 .
Why happenes this?
Before change vref I could try motors, but the laser didnt burn nothing, like it didnt have enough power... what could be the reason?
Note that conections are the same as yours. thanks.

I have repaired my arduino nano changing the voltage regulator burned. Now the machine runs but the laser doesnt burn a lot despite i have regulated it to the minimun point with the lens. Only burns a little, but not like in your video. Im using now a 12v 2a. How can I get the laser burns more?? thanks.
