    Why would the system for law enforcement cerification decertify a cop in one state and not in all states? If what they have done is bad enough to get them decertified in one state, the system should be that they cannot be certified in ANY state.

      @@loveisall5520 you're both right. Each state has a constitutional right to make up their own laws in order to prevent the federal government from ruling over all states. If the federal government ruled over all states you would have something akin to communism. With states that can regulate their self we have an opportunity to see what works and what doesn't work before everybody falls in line. So it's up to the states politicians and the public to change these laws that don't work.

We as a group need to fight and take responsibility of the people we elect into office and try to make actual changes. In 1967 we began to see a rise in police using violent force to solve situations that did not require it, all resulting from the doctrines introduction. This trend of police shootings only increased in 82, 86 and 87 with rulings continuing to favor the doctrine. the trend data shows that every time a major ruling in favor of Q-I took place, Police killed more people in the years following. When they know they have no personal skin in the game, they act reckless.
      Police should be able to be sued for failing to do their job properly just like doctors, plumbers and executives can be. No one deserves extra rights just because they became a cop. Period.

    If you watch the video you see the 4 original "cops" beat him and then at least 3 additional "cops” run onto the scene and each one of those 3 kick Tyree in the head or face so a total of at least 7 officers on the scene should be charged.

    I see a lot of comments here that decry a broad punishment for the actions of five men. Those men lost their temper and went on a vengeful mission inadvertently costing a man his life. Cops need additional training to be on guard against anger that could negatively impact lives, even their own.
