I have not shed a tear since I was a young kid, not during the death of my uncle, grand parents, my divorce. I grew up in a horrible neighborhood full of drugs and gangs and saw people murdered in front of my own eyes and I can't stop crying here. It feels like I am torturing myself by watching this coverage. I am struggling with this!!!!

1- cops should not recruit/hire cops. a committee of 3 advisors, 1 LEO and 2 CIVs. CIVs have the last say. former military must wait 24 months, from the date of discharge before joining any LE agency. and complete a 2-year degree in CIV LE. 2- instructors should consist of 1 LEO and 2 CIVs. 3- internal affairs should consist of 5 members 2 LEOs and 3 CIVs. CIVs have the last say. 4- new recruits must be 21 years of age and/or have completed a 2-year degree in in CIV LE. 5- current LEOs must complete a 2-year degree in CIV LE within 30 months. 6- QI must be earned not entitled. as long as the LEO acts within the law during various stages of the investigation. the LEO earns QI, until they violate rights, law and/or policy. 7- a LEO cannot resign 90 days preceding, during or after an investigation. a LEO may not negotiate any plea deals, must be held to the full extent of the law.
8- any LE agency that willfully or unknowingly, hires a fired LEO. will be subject to loss of federal and state funds. and the termination of their indemnifying bond. 9- the cost of indemnifying a LE agency should not exceed a certain percentage of the serving community tax base. 10- mental health services for LEOs. drug testing all LEOs.
as long as we allow LEOs to resign in lieu of termination. as long as we fail to hold the recruiting, training and supervisors and elected leaders accountable, tragedies will continue. if a LEO resigns or is fired then the immediate supervisor resigns or is fired. the superordinate management levels should be suspended without pay and/or demoted.

I am so happy to hear how different members of his family articulate so well what Tyre meant to them. When my brother was murdered that was our biggest thing was to make sure people saw him as human! Even though it was my older brother, I felt the same way about my brother- if only I was there. To have someone take your life and you die alone on a ground with no one around you who loves you, to pray with you, to comfort you. It hurts still to this day. Our brothers, fathers, sons, loved ones are not numbers, animals, threats- they are humans who are loved. God cover this family! We don’t know why but you decided to use them to change the world. I lost my twin brother 20 years ago. It was one of the worst pains I ever had in my life. Nothing can take that pain away. I’m in much better place than I was 20 years ago. It takes a lot of time to deal with a death like that. No drugs no drink can make it go away. Again, it takes time to heal. Rest In Paradise to the people on here that lost a brother.

What a beautiful spoken young man, I could not imagine the pain that he and his family face daily. The pain is immeasurable, unimaginable and just plain horrific. I cried watching this, what do we tell our sons when they go out? What do we advise them when he was handcuffed and beaten by 5 armed men who swore to protect us? When my brother was murdered that was our biggest thing was to make sure people saw him as human!
Even though it was my older brother, I felt the same way about my brother- if only I was there.
To have someone take your life and you die alone on a ground with no one around you who loves you, to pray with you, to comfort you. It hurts still to this day.
Our brothers, fathers, sons, loved ones are not numbers, animals, threats- they are humans who are loved.

What a beautiful spoken young man, I could not imagine the pain that he and his family face daily. The pain is immeasurable, unimaginable and just plain horrific.
I cried watching this, what do we tell our sons when they go out? What do we advise them when he was handcuffed and beaten by 5 armed men who swore to protect us? I can’t begin to imagine the fear in every mother of a black man, will they come home, will they survive to come home.

As a nurse we are legislated to have certain medications checked before we administer them, this is not because they have our backs, it is to reduce the risk of errors, and we rely upon them to make sure we don’t make mistakes. Why is it that not one officer stepped up and said enough, stop, your crossing the line?
I am not from the US and can name others who were killed by police brutality. Emmett Till, Rodney King, George Floyd, Mr Aubrey are just off the top of my head. It’s not good enough to sack these animals, it’s not good enough period.

@@JimmyZ213 None of those people had anything to do with five black cops deciding to beat a man to death. They also didn't make an effort to cover it up or protect the officers involved. It will be impossible to find justification to prosecute unless all the police involved say they were told by higher ups to kill a man and an investigation proves it.
