We received a mail from Case processing centre Sydney including my wife’s UCI and my application number and also mentioned that We are pleased to inform that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Is it a AOR ??? Please let me know And they also mentioned The Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing..
What you have received is a 'Sponsors Approval'. If this is the first update you have ever received from IRCC then you can count that the AOR is not relevant, or you might receive a separate confirmation as well. I would not be looking for an AOR now. All the best and congrats on getting sponsors approval :)

I got a note from IRCC to submit some forms/documents to add my spouse to my application. One of the document is IMM0008 for myself (principal applicant of the main application) and my wife. My understanding is in IMM0008 for myself, answer to question 3 would be 2 (myself and my wife) and in IMM0008 for my wife, answer to question 3 would be just 1 (herself). Thank you for the video, though i have a question which i was hoping to find an answer to in this video but you had left it out, so my situation is i am a canadian citizen by birth living outside of canada with my spouse in her native country, our child was born in her country but has recieved Canadian citizenship. In this case, do i have to fill her info into the dependants section as well or can i leave it blank? The other thing is i am doing the online application (as per new ircc rules) and in the web format it asks for her travel documents in which case i had just applied for her (my child) passport which is due to arrive in 3 months from now but i want to finish this sponsorship application beforehand. On the web application i tried entering my childs canadian citizenship information but it requires me to put a date of expiration (which the canadian citizenship certificate does not have), any ideas on what to do? Yeah, it's confusing because IMM 0008 is a generic application form which is also used in programs other than family sponsorship (like Refugee class, etc). Anyways, in your case, there will be no dependents (assuming you do not have any children from previous relationship (if any)). There will just be Principal applicant (your wife), and Sponsor (yourself).
If we are applying by online portal, what do we fill the National identity document (aadhar card) issue and expiry date. I intend to use Aadhar card as we share common residential address on it but unfortunately aadhar card does not have an issue and expiry date.

Hello Sir, I recieved AOR in march and after that I got married in May. In August I received PR portal request in which I informed IRCC that my marital status changed. In September they sent me request letter in which I have to fill my spouse details but my CIC portal I have only 3 tabs to attach documents. I don't know what to do. Is the postal code for Canada? If yes, can you try putting space after 3 characters like instead of L6J5N7 write L6J 5N7. And in which section and question are you 'space' issue?

It doesn't matter if you go either ways as long as the documents you are uploading and the forms relevant are 'checked'. I would prefer just clicking/checking the checklist > save >upload. Why to waste even a single paper :) Glad that you found the video helpful. :)

If you are parent of a child who is a PR then you cannot be termed as a Dependent of the your daughter. Dependents can only be spouse or children (refer definition of dependents on IMM 5289 for more clarity). In your case, though you can go for Parent and Grand-parent sponsorship under the Family Class program.

There can be multiple reasons (name not spelled correct, name on documents not in sync with one mentioned in form etc) but the one that you pointed out in your comment is the most obvious. Your name should be listed as Spouse in Q 13, and all other details will be for your wife (PA).

If you looking for sponsoring your new born child then you would select Family sponsorship program with category as 'Dependent Child'. The details in these forms would be applicant i.e. the child. But I would suggest to review instruction guide (IMM 5289) to be 100% sure. 🌸

Hi Sir, my friend had received ITA for PR in recent draw. But his wife isn't in the pool and she hasn't done her IELTS as well. Now, for getting her PCC what additional documents does she need to carry for PCC. Will she get PCC as invitation was received by my friend only from canada through EE draw. can you please answer this. In local district police head quarters, they are telling to submit generic application for her PCC. Does she need to fill IMM 0008 for her PCC and submit in local district police head quarters. Please advise.
Let me break down your question and answer it in parts. 1. First and foremost - PCC should ONLY be applied from PSK (passport seva kendra). So, if PCC was applied in PSK and then you were redirected to local police HQ then it's fine. 2. If your friend created EE profile indicating that he/she is a married individual and they received ITA then IELTS of supporting applicants wouldn't matter. 3. PCC needs to be provided for all applicants, i.e. your friend who received the ITA, and his wife who was on the application of EE profile. 4. Lastly, IMM008 is only relevant for IRCC, local police office would not understand or need this form. They might simply be interested in seeing the ITA your friend received. It is best he takes along the print of ITA to PSK/Police HQ when applying for PCC. Hope this helps. :)

He said in EE profile it asked if he is married and he mentioned yes, married but didnt prompt for spouse details. Is this entry in EE profile sufficient for her to apply PCC through PSK. Q2. Hey Siva, thanks for reaching out and my apologies for delayed response. The forms you are referring to are web-forms and no longer has the need to provide hand-drawn signature. When you are good to submit the application in its entirety the digital consent is all that is needed in place of actual signature. Apart from these forms, all forms that needs hand-drawn signature and are to be 'uploaded' have to have signatures. Hope this helps.
Urgent IMM0008 : Please I need help on this form Highest level of education. I am doing a PhD which is ongoing (3yrs already) . I have completed already a masters (1year), secondary and primary (total 12 years). So how do I answer Highest level of education and number of years of education. What I mean is am I to ignore the 3yrs of PhD since it is still on and have no certificate yet. Highest Level of Education and Number of Years in total. Also I have a child that just finished 1yr kindergarten will this be 'No education' or 'secondary or lower'
Since your PhD is not yet awarded I would recommend you stick with the courses and studies you have completed - so it will be your bachelors, masters, secondary and primary schooling. For your kid it can be 0 since kindergarten is not counted as primary - not sure though.

It will be similar but not the same. I suggest you refer to the latest IRCC provided guides to fill the form. Glad you found the video helpful.

You will need to open with latest version of Adobe or relevant PDF reader application. Do not try to open it in browser - it won't work.

The filled form needs to be uploaded back in the portal.

In this case, your wife's children will not be applicants on the file. So you are better off not listing them as dependents.

Unless the instructions have changed lately, signing online is recommended but not mandated. Manual signature is still valid.

There can be multiple reasons (name not spelled correct, name on documents not in sync with one mentioned in form etc) but the one that you pointed out in your comment is the most obvious. Your name should be listed as Spouse in Q 13, and all other details will be for your wife (PA).

If you looking for sponsoring your new born child then you would select Family sponsorship program with category as 'Dependent Child'. The details in these forms would be applicant i.e. the child. But I would suggest to review instruction guide (IMM 5289) to be 100% sure. 🌸

Hi Sir, my friend had received ITA for PR in recent draw. But his wife isn't in the pool and she hasn't done her IELTS as well. Now, for getting her PCC what additional documents does she need to carry for PCC. Will she get PCC as invitation was received by my friend only from canada through EE draw. can you please answer this. In local district police head quarters, they are telling to submit generic application for her PCC. Does she need to fill IMM 0008 for her PCC and submit in local district police head quarters. Please advise.
Let me break down your question and answer it in parts.
1. First and foremost - PCC should ONLY be applied from PSK (passport seva kendra). So, if PCC was applied in PSK and then you were redirected to local police HQ then it's fine.
2. If your friend created EE profile indicating that he/she is a married individual and they received ITA then IELTS of supporting applicants wouldn't matter.
3. PCC needs to be provided for all applicants, i.e. your friend who received the ITA, and his wife who was on the application of EE profile.
4. Lastly, IMM008 is only relevant for IRCC, local police office would not understand or need this form. They might simply be interested in seeing the ITA your friend received. It is best he takes along the print of ITA to PSK/Police HQ when applying for PCC.

Hey Siva, thanks for reaching out and my apologies for delayed response. The forms you are referring to are web-forms and no longer has the need to provide hand-drawn signature. When you are good to submit the application in its entirety the digital consent is all that is needed in place of actual signature. Apart from these forms, all forms that needs hand-drawn signature and are to be 'uploaded' have to have signatures. Hope this helps.
Urgent IMM0008 : Please I need help on this form Highest level of education. I am doing a PhD which is ongoing (3yrs already) . I have completed already a masters (1year), secondary and primary (total 12 years). So how do I answer Highest level of education and number of years of education. What I mean is am I to ignore the 3yrs of PhD since it is still on and have no certificate yet. Highest Level of Education and Number of Years in total. Also I have a child that just finished 1yr kindergarten will this be 'No education' or 'secondary or lower'
Since your PhD is not yet awarded I would recommend you stick with the courses and studies you have completed - so it will be your bachelors, masters, secondary and primary schooling. For your kid it can be 0 since kindergarten is not counted as primary - not sure though.
