Love is a great spot up shooter, rebounder, and sometimes all around scorer and he does it in his role. Melo is poor at spotting up and heavily isolates with a large portion of his shots being contested mid range jumpers. One good game doesn’t change that he can’t keep up. No one is going to claim that Love is a good defender. But Melo makes him look like one

There are a few online analysis proving his was awful even in his last years with the knicks, The media wanted him out of NY because the team was bad, and when he went to OKC everybody said they would be one of the top contenders. It took a while for the media to notice how bad of a liability he is.

Lebron might take it easy on defense but he’s still a superstar performer on offense and he’s obviously taken incredible care of his body throughout his career to where he can still dominate. Melo has lost steps and athleticism and he didn’t have a ton to even start. Lebron and Paul are also two players who are exceptional at running offenses and keeping other guys involved. Melo is a scorer. If he’s gonna start on a team that means he’s the number 1 scoring option out there and the other guys jobs out there are to facilitate and play defense to make up for Melo.
