I think about that situation often and wished there was more I could do to help, but I was only 22 at the time and didn’t know what I could do. I just wanted to stop him being such a dick to his partner.
I consider Ice Poseidon's case to be one of the greatest examples of why you just don't swat people "for the lulz". Not only can they trace calls back to you, but you'll find your whole life destroyed.
@@thatguy5391 Setting legal precedent is not archaic. With the amount of swatting going on I have no doubt they would want to release his arrest. Also, why would the cameraman know but nobody else?
It's always bothered me how easy it is for random people to call in a fake bomb/shooting threat involving anyone they see without consequence 99% of the time.
The DUI streamer made me so mad. A drunk driver is the reason my 30-year-old cousin is now a widow with a toddler. Her husband was doing the law abiding thing and stopped at a stoplight. Driver who slammed into his motorbike was drunk on his @$$.
9:49 I was in that chat watching that girl drunk drive, was sickening! She didn’t care and it’s a miracle she didn’t hit anyone. But, those fellow chatters were all over it and got her off the street in record time! She wasn’t just drunk, she was streaming and paying more attention to her chat than the road! People were pleading with her to pull over, call a cab, call a friend, anything and she would get indignant saying she does this all the time, and is better drunk driving than most people sober driving, smh. She wasn’t. She was all over the road, hit that sign, was falling asleep. Terrifying to witness, I remember praying she didn’t hurt anyone but herself. Her punishment wasn’t nearly strong enough. I had just lost a friend to a drunk driver about 2 years before this happened. My friend was hit head on around 5pm as she was on her way home from work. She was hit about 2 minutes from my front door. We heard the sirens and all, but had no idea it was her. Our moms were lifelong friends from preschool age and I knew her from when we were in kindergarten ages. We just lost her mom 3 years ago to breast cancer. One notable thing, my friend worked traffic controls and landing planes at our local, very small airport. She landed Harrison Ford dozens of times! He regularly flew alone to our area to visit friends that owned a restaurant. He sent a beautiful flower display and lovely card for her funeral. He also called her mom to give condolences. Very admirable. The world lost a great person when she died.
Oh my goodness I know that’s absolutely amazing! It’s terrifying to think what happened before hand but luckily she was there to stop it from getting worse
I know right? What an amazing job 👏 That woman was in very real danger and thank God someone was there paying attention. You can tell by the way the guy reacted screaming about his lawyer about "I wanted to talk to her before this hearing"... Yes I bet he did! Abusers always want "one more chance to talk... Closure" etc... Bs excuses to be near the person they are abusing. Absolutely fantastic lawyer ❤
it made me so happy that the judge took it seriously when she brought it up & that it ended up going well & that the victim was safe. i can only imagine how scared she was until the cops showed up. i hope she got away from him & is now in a safe place with her child.
@@Kayla-rd5jd That judge and DA are featured quite a bit on the "law talk with mike" channel here on YT. She's a great gal overall. She calls in to lots of Mike's livestreams, and has a bunch of friendly goats on her farm, one she named after Mike himself. As for the judge, he's one of the fairest, most compassionate ones you'll come across. But don't you dare lie to him, or let him down after he gives you a break, or in for it!
I remember when the video was originally posted. as I recall the prosecutor noticed the victim was acting strange (probably scared) and pointed it out. though I don't remember if she mentioned having been tipped though.
Serious credit to that live stream DUI chat for actually getting her stopped instead of cheering her on and encouraging her to continue until she killed someone.
They didn't call the police until after she hit a sign, that could just as easily have been a pedestrian. So you're wrong. People on the stream deserve zero credit, they waited until it was too late.
@@billionairebychoice8436 Because she hit a sign? I’d much rather them intervene and actually get help there than for them to just sit there and cheer the driver on to go hit more stuff. That’s such a bizarre attitude, should there have been intervention sooner? Sure. Is it better to recognize damage and to prevent more damage or to sit there while she wrecks the whole town or actually kills people? Obviously. They recognized her potential to hit someone as soon as that happened and they honestly moved pretty quickly to resolve it as soon as they realized the true and immediate danger, which is better than 99% of society.

So often you hear these people sounding like they're going through the motions and not really caring, or getting confused by what they're being told. Understanding the situation and asking for the link to the stream to verify was some pleasantly surprising competence.
Think of how many people are calling 911 on any given day, their job is to follow the script and get all the information they can before moving on to the next person. Not every caller can get a lengthy and personal response, plus after doing it for so long it just becomes a job. You help people but it’s a paycheck

Agree. I've watched a lot of crime shows where so many 911 operators are clueless and act like they can't understand anything. One I watched didn't like the tone of voice the person calling was using with them demanding they get the police and ambulance there because someone had been shot and the 911 operator started being very rude and disrespectful and told them they don't have to do anything and the person actually ended up dying because of it.
Yeah, and that’s in spite of the idiot caller. “I just saw someone over on periscope driving drunk”, like no crap the 911 operator isn’t gonna have any clue what that means or where it is. Just say “I’m on a chat with a girl who is live streaming herself driving drunk and has already hit a sign I can send you a link she says she’s in X city”

Anything to do with social media and influencers and streamers is the worst era ever. Filled with a bunch of people with no real life skills and socially awkward as fuck. It’s really sad actaully
No brains!
It's still very common
Bravo to the attorney that noticed something wasn't right with that poor victim on virtual court and did something about it. People say they would do something if they witnessed dv but, from personal experience, it's more common for people to ignore it and look away.
I once saw a man berating his girlfriend at the mall outside of a washroom. I approached her and asked if she was okay and needed help. She was so scared and he was trying to speak for her. I looked at him and told him to back off and I wasn’t talking to him. I think about that situation often and wished there was more I could do to help, but I was only 22 at the time and didn’t know what I could do. I just wanted to stop him being such a dick to his partner.
I mean the DA was tipped off about them being in the same house prior to the hearing
I consider Ice Poseidon's case to be one of the greatest examples of why you just don't swat people "for the lulz". Not only can they trace calls back to you, but you'll find your whole life destroyed.
I doubt the dude got caught though. Otherwise they would make an example out of him. The source here is not credible
Ice deserves all the shit inflicted upon him according to his own logic.

It's always bothered me how easy it is for random people to call in a fake bomb/shooting threat involving anyone they see without consequence 99% of the time.
It’s because of 911 an other bombing events they immediately go just because of a call
That happened when I was back in high school in my freshman year. Literally all they got was a three-day suspension.
And if it's in the US, the one the cops are called on will most likely take the blame anyway because they're the easier one to punish.
Yeah that state supreme court ruling was weird, just do whatever you want and then say you were "just kidding" and everything is fine apparently

The DUI streamer made me so
mad. A drunk driver is the reason my 30-year-old cousin is now a widow with a toddler. Her husband was doing the law abiding thing and stopped at a stoplight. Driver who slammed into his motorbike was drunk on his @$$.
I find it crazy how she didn’t face any jail time when she was the one streamer who actually could’ve killed someone with her actions. Weird
@@Balls4778 I was gonna say the same thing. They literally have a video of her doing it intentionally!!
why is there a huge space between so and mad
Because of people like that, I don't ever think about riding a motorcycle on the road. Rest in peace to your cousin's late husband. ❤
@@jsmith3946 Why did you not capitalize or type a question mark at the end of your sentence?
My condolences.

That woman was in very real danger and thank God someone was there paying attention.

Regardless of my experience with DUI drivers, if you think it's okay to engage in an activity that will and you know will impair you in every aspect, then engage in another activity that requires your full focus and attention and cognitive abilities. Hammurabi might have been a little harsh, but eye for an eye punishment for law I think is fair. People in the comment sections of live stream clip compilations that featured the Arab Andy clip often said things like "Those people were overreacting" and "Bombs don't announce their detonation. They should've known it wasn't real."
If you were in the same room as some random guy you've never met before on your college campus who walked in a few minutes ago wearing a big camera set up and a speaker, how else would you respond to that? In America, you cannot risk something like that. You RUN if you hear something like that.
I think they probably just got scared because an Arabic man who nobody knew started playing audio about "c4 armed" it has literally nothing to do with it being in Seattle lol
I would sit there and go oh that guy is playing a sound over a speaker thats weird. But its fine if you want to run out screaming
Bombers do announce their intention beforehand and the IRA had people do exactly that, so he's not only stupid but ignorant.

I feel really bad for Whiteboy. Let the man mourn, smoke weed, and stream in peace like God damn.
Idk if you smoke or not but 30 grams is ALOT more then just a smoke sack to have laying around.
@@ciera1511 ummm, so a little more than an ounce? I don't know if you smoke or not but having an ounce around is pretty damn common for a heavy smoker
@@ciera1511 that’s like 2-4 weeks worth of pot for a heavy smoker. Not really a lot
Um y’all clearly dident hear a word wavywrbsurf said, he said one that the man’s house had already been swatted twice before, meaning the cops most likely searched his house twice before, meaning the weed was new for one, and for two that he hasent always smoked, what is a new smoker doing with 30g laying around, also as someone who smokes everyday, I smoke a half a week, so having over a ounce to yourself as a NEW smoker is kinda a bit munch.
@@ciera1511 30 grams is nothing lmao its not crazy to have a ounce of weed lol

Wow. I was not prepared for that one. well done.
i wouldnt be surprised if the first dude had a stipulation in his release that forbid him having a phone and/or social media and streaming accounts
Imagine getting assaulted over words and then arrested, unbelievable.
If that guy needed a phone for a life or death situation, he wouldn’t be so calm. He was definitely gonna rob Chicken Andy
yes, he was going to run off with the phone.I know a cab driver that gave a passenger his phone to use, & he jumped out of the cab & ran off with the driver's phone
Alex did so well to hold his composure the moment he realized the raid was happening
28:25 holy shit. I wasn't actually expecting the judge to say the name all out like that
Proof that he wasn't that offended by it and went on a stupid, holier-than-thou tirade over what could've easily been a mistake.
Mistake lmao?
@@dirtymike3329 Yes. A mistake is something that happens on accident- as in "I accidentally logged onto virtual court with my obscene Zoom handle still on but did not mean to offend the judge or his court."

Streaming your misbehavior or crime is just weird to me. When we were in our teens and twenties, we were trying hard to keep our bad behavior to ourselves. The only ones who knew were your partners in crime or the ones you could trust to keep it secret. I guess any attention is better than no attention.
The power of addiction to clout.
It's just a sad sign of the times with these psychos wanting their 5 seconds of fame. The part at 23:50 bugs me the most. It's not just the words but the tone in his voice. He sounds like some psycho who dropped a rock off a highway onto a car, killed someone in said car, and then has the audacity to say "I did nothing wrong, it's the cars fault for being in the way."
Sayin that as if ppl dont still know this. It’s not any different champ, these ppl know what they’re doing, they record on purpose TO be seen…they’re just that dumb.
Obviously if you were robbing a bank or something, & were an actual criminal, they know not to record….that’s common sense. Don’t even need to be a criminal to know that, you’re acting like you were in the damn mafia but its common knowledge
Theres a difference between real criminals & some dumb kids recording crimes for clout 😂
I’ve never done anything illegal, but if I did, I definitely wouldn’t talk about it on the internet.
you cant just say stuff like "born in 2001" on this channel, man. some of us are over 30 and it's very upsetting

The first guy. I dont mind if he wants to do shit that would off himself. But he puts the police and those trying to save him in unnecessary danger. The amount of self-importance this little boy puts on himself is astounding.
Yeah, and he didn't even have his high school diploma? He got his GED after the was arrested? He told his mom to just bail him out with the dono money, so she has access somehow? Seems like there's something there, not sure what.
I mean the police chose to save him. They didn't actually need to "save" him, therefore it's their fault if they feel in danger.
@@Dehydratedpencilthis is so damn stupid..if they dont "save" him..that idiot could fall down and endanger the cars passing by. Imagine just driving and have a body falls on you. Why would Ice Poseidon face any charges? The people who swatted him should be the ones facing charges
literally only logic in which I could see an argument made would be that he does the equivalent of smearing himself with honey, wandering through bear dens and then walking into a crowded town square but that's michael jordan in space jam levels of stretch
I mean, yes they should obviously get charged, but the guy also 100% knew what he was doing.
@@Tintelinus but did he ask for those pranks?
Because he knew that it would happen. These kinds of things happened literally every other stream. As someone who watched Ice for waaay too many hours, my personal opinion is that he knew his audience would mess with him and he made content out of it. Its reckless public endangerment. I remember he deliberately didn't block racist words on his text to speech so he could act shocked during his runescape days.
Well, aside from the intentional bomb threats he asked for, he also stole millions directly from his fans via crypto fraud too. So he’s really the ultimate loser shitbag, overall.
Man, I remember I absolutely loved Whiteboy7thst back in middle school. Was pretty upset and concerned when the arrest happened. I'm not as interested in his type of content anymore, but very glad to hear he's doing well.
