Unfortunately, they allowed the WWF to buy up their top guys. They tried fighting back, all the top nwa talent that did not leave went to Jim Crockett promotions, a new company basically made from the ashes of mid-atlantic. JCP got bought up by turner broadcasting and became WCW.
I love EC3. He was one one of Piper's last podcasts before he died. Dude was humble and very respectful. He had such a passion for professional wrestling. The CYN thing was a misstep imo, but I'm glad he's recovered and become THE guy in the NWA.
