Great review of the new Keurig! My wife's a teacher and has an older model in her classroom. It finally gave up on her about 3 months ago. After shrugging off a Keurig for years (due to my past experience with not getting a strong enough brew), I broke down and bought the Keurig Supreme Plus and simply love it! The coffee is full of flavor and very hot. A couple of points I wish to address: for those concerned about cholesterol intake, each K-Cup is lined with a filter that removes the Cafestol (the cholesterol-laden oil naturally found in coffee). Additionally, the K-Cup is recyclable; just remove the foil label when finished brewing. (Of course, the reusable filter is always an option as well.) Very pleased with my purchase. ❤

I’m concerned with the coffee temp. I prefer my coffee hot yet some have said this machine does not produce hot enough coffee and that despite the 3 settings, they all register about the same temp of 161 degrees. I ordered mine last week but won’t arrive for a few days. I guess time will tell.
We bought the K-Supreme from Target for $89 (pricematched a local members club) about 2 weeks ago and love it. Super fast brewing time compared to other Keurigs. We love strong dark coffee and this machine really shines with those. No complaints at all.

Have used Keurigs for years and love them. Bought this for my home office because the 5 streams sounded like a neat improvement. The difference is quite noticeable. On pod brands Ive used for a long time the first cup run through this machine was amazing, Stronger, bolder more flavourful. I like that you can set custom settings which I use depending on whether its a medium or stronger coffee. It also starts brewing much quicker as the heat up cycle is way shorter. Overall a great innovation and I love it. The only drawback is that now my older Keurig seems more mundane.....

I got this machine a few days ago. The coffee is much stronger without having to touch the strong button. If you open the used K cups, after brewing I did notice the coffee grounds are more wet then a single stream machine. I’m glad you showed how to move the reservoir to the back. It helped me. I highly recommend a Supreme Keriug, especially if you like your coffee strong. 💪

I loved Keurig . When my last machine broke I bought in Costco this new nice looking machine. After making about 20 cups I still couldn’t drink coffee because was very strong odour plastic. I returned machine back to the store because I was thinking is defective. I bought new machine and was exactly same. When I was in Walmart I looked on keurig coffee makers and I find out every one is made in different country. That my story last Keurig I had because I bought Instant pot coffee maker and I find out is much better. I have coffee in less than one minute and what is more important - steaming. You never get from Keurig and that is why better taste.

I bought the K-Supreme yesterday at Target and really like how it works. I'm using the Peet's coffee decaf house blend and brew it for a 6-oz cup at the strong setting, making a nice strong cup of coffee. I did notice that the unit uses a lot of current, probably close to 20 amp, in order to heat the water up more quickly. I found that the machine would trip circuit breakers in my apartment, even with no other electrical load on the same line and found that I had to use it on the higher amperage line that feeds my microwave oven. Other than that, I've had no problems.

Not trying to be smart-alecky or anything but if you want to drink strong coffee you have to drink strong coffee i.e., French Roast, Italian Roast, Espresso Roast, etc., Illy, Starbucks, Peets, Seattle, Green Mountain Dark Magic, etc. I'm kind of skeptical with this mutli-puncture idea. The pods are so small it's hard to think that the one puncture, and water flow doesn't saturate the grounds in the pod sufficiently enough to produce a strong enough brew. I do have the older one punch Keurig that's been going since 2007 - yes, 2007, but I'm more of an espresso freak right now. You at least were honest in saying you noticed some difference, and didn't want to over-talk the significance of the machine, and as long as you are happy with it, that's really all that matters. It's money well spent if you get the added benefit you are hoping for in the cup with the brew you like to drink. Merry Christmas!

@@TechMadeEzy I flipped the brewer over to do the conversion this morning and did not see and "A" tab as shown in your video. In fact the bottom looks different from yours with all the plastic being solid with nothing that looks like it can swivel. I bought my K-Supreme Plus from Kohl's and didn't know they made different versions of the same model. Shame on Keurig as it will have to go back now as i wanted that feature due to the limited counter space I have with other appliances.

@@TechMadeEzy That was what I was trying to do this morning and what I was talking about in my prior response. Seems Kohl's has their own version of the K-Supreme Plus without the pivoting water tank. I even had to double check the box to make sure it was indeed the K-Supreme Plus I had bought and it was. Everything looks identical to your video except when you flip it over there is no A tab to remove to pivot the tank. It's a solid bottom piece of plastic with no pivoting joints.
My bad, didn't realize this video was for the non plus model. Why would they do away with that pivoting feature for the Plus?? Ugh!
I don't know, it's weird. I just picked up the plus model so I will have to look at mine in a few days.
I love my supreme plus. Got it for a steal at Costco for $100. I fill mine with filtered water due to the issue with the filter media floating around in the water.

Coincidently my wife bought one two days ago when our second Keurig broke down after two years.
I hope mine doesn’t break down anytime soon.
I'm still using my original Keurig K-cup machine even though the switch on/off button sometimes doesn't work (it will not stay on the ON position, it would spring back to off position). I avoided using the on/off button by having it programmed the auto-on and auto-off. I was surprised that the more expensive model didn't have the auto on/off function.
As long as it can make a good cup of coffee that's really all that matters thanks Manny

It’s all about brew time. The longer the water can stay with the beans the better. A French Press in my opinion makes the best coffee. In Keurigs, you must add more coffee to get the a better cup with the reusable filters but you waste more. They need to come up with a holding chamber to steep the coffee longer before releasing it. Multi stream technology is not the way to do it

What is descaling?
It cleans out any build up that might be in the machine, this affects the taste of the coffee over time.
This does not heat water in a reservoir it heats as it goes. I have had trouble where the pod has come apart and grinds went all over the place so now what I do is I push the pod down till I hear the bottom pin puncture and then I lower the top. Nice review.

I got one of these from Costco, called the K-Supreme + (not Plus). It had the smaller reservoir, but had 3 “favorite” settings. I have to say, it did make a better cup of coffee, but had 3 major flaws that I couldn’t live with. 1) it couldn’t get the temperature more than 168 degrees, and that was after running hot water through it several times. And yes, the temperature control was set to max. My old version 1.0 gets 192 degrees consistently. This in itself was a dealbreaker. 2) even with the ability to set 3 favorite settings, it didn’t remember the last setting. You always had to choose each time. 3) wouldn’t fit my Thermos brand travel mug, which was only 7” tall. If the coffee had gotten hot enough, I would have bought a different mug, but warm coffee, and it didn’t fit- another dealbreaker.
How about updating your video and tell us what temperature you are getting. Getting a fast cup of coffee doesn’t mean much if the coffee is lukewarm.

I don't normally to be honest. Works fine for me but I'm sure for some it just doesn't do the job.
That really makes no sense. They’d have a riot on their hands if they only brewed coffee at 168 degrees. There is no way any company would allow their coffee brewer to be below 195 degrees. I’m not a keurig fan boy, but Yours has to be broken.
The “plus” gives you the choice of 3 coffee strength AND choice of 3 temperature settings. So, if you didn’t taste much of a difference in the “strong” coffee with the regular machine, you would with the “plus” model by selecting the highest strong coffee setting.

I have the duet one you showed. I don’t think either of these make the correct amount of coffee. I like med. coffee with lots silk milk made in the latte container.
My old Keurig which I had for 8-10 years was better made. I had a separate capezzio latte maker & could run concurrently, Truthfully, if I were going for coffee ground saturation, I would buy a different brand & type. These machines are all about convenience. The coffee pods and expensive and you will create more garbage. There are coffees that I like which are not available on the pods. The cheapest coffee is from Costco which also instead of the plastic pod, the bottom that holds the coffee is a paper type filter which will break down in the garbage. I have been tempted to buy one but I usually use a travel mug which is 16oz and the largest amount Keurig brews is 12oz. I will keep my Cuisinart coffee maker. Thanks for your review.

Test it with coco, i found keruig doesn't do well with powder drinks leaves some undissolved in k cups. i need to open kcup and dump coco into cup first and just use machine for hot water

Just got my Keurig supreme and made hot chocolate last night it was perfect swiss mist. If you’re having that problem try the strong setting that will let the water out slower and should melt all of it.

Got the filter cone figured out. But after washing everything putting it all together, plugging it in, NOTHING is working. No lit light, no nothing, tried switching outlets, still nothing. Will be retuning it tomorrow. I have until May 18th . Sooo disappointed.

Just got may Keurig coffee maker K-Supreme Plus, and am having problems securing the filter cone into the reservoir. It does not JUST snap in place. It wobbles around. The black round object on the bottom is either too big and the filter portion does not fit. Now what do I do.
Esther t should just snap in, drain your water and try it. If that doesn’t work you’re going have to exchange your unit. Also double check to make sure that the filter is pushed in all the way in the bottom piece snapped into the handle that might be your issue also. They made changes to k cups a while ago, old k cups don’t fit but everything new on the shelf does with no problem.

Interesting about the 5 holes on top, but I wonder just how many on the bottom where the coffee comes out? If only one, I am willing to bet this will clog because a K-cup with coffee can only do so much in terms of draining if it has only 1 hole.

Of course it was stronger, you're only using 8oz of water for an 11.1 gram K-Cup. I'm surprised you didn't say it was bitter, using your coffee to water ratio.

I purchased my Keurig K Surpreme Plus a week before Thanksgiving, I have to say though I like that it has the 5 punch holes to extract more coffee flavor I am disappointed because it doesn't get as hot as my Keurig Compact Machine. The K Supreme Plus even on the hottest setting isn't as hot as the Keurig Compact, even my husband said somthing to me about it.

I believe that one would probably notice more of a temperature change on the smaller cup setting. I might be wrong, but the larger the cup the more the cup will cool the water down. Just my, none proven, logic.

I checked the specs. The highest temp is 172 degrees F. The older models deliver 192 degrees F on the highest setting. I'm keeping my older Keurig for now.

I just bought a Keurig Supreme a month ago to upgrade from a two year old Keurig. The multipoint technology sold me. Unfortunately, I’ve found that the points don’t puncture the k cup well enough and I’m getting very watered down coffee. Any tips?
Hi Kyla, If it’s a puncture issue, my recommendation would be to manually push the cup into place so it punctures the bottom 1st then pull the handle down. As far as strength you might want to update or return yours for the plus model. The plus model has 3 strength levels and that seems to work well. The coffee slows down making more water to coffee contact. I definitely tasted a difference. My review comes out in about a week if you want to see that one.

I descaled my machine last month; now the light doesn’t go off. I had to cover it with electrical tape.

Haven’t had to descale yet and works great honestly for me, I like the strength of the coffee maker it’s hard enough for me but I’ve heard people complain that it’s not hard enough.

I was hoping Keurig had created a way to clean it better. You cannot get inside it to clean it. You can only clean it with vinegar. I am not interested in strong coffee. I just want to be able to clean it inside.

I have had this for about 2 months now and the one thing I don’t like about it is the measurements are not accurate. I have to make everything on the 12oz setting and that barely fills my 8 oz cup. If I want a large cup I have to brew it twice. I even use this just for hot water to make tea (no k cup) and even doing that I still don’t get anywhere near the true amount of the setting ☹️

Wow, it took them quite a while to figure out what real coffee drinkers have known for decades. How long do you think it will take to get an accurate 195-205 temp? And don't even start thinking of fresh beans.

Don't buy a brewer thru their website. I've been waiting three weeks and counting and still haven't gotten my order. Called customer service several times and they're no help. You're better off buying in a store or better yet, buying another brand that treats their customers better.

Hi Fludrby thank you, the one problem with this new model is it doesn't really fit a large mug with that many ounces. If it did fit you have to do a 12 oz and 8oz to fill it. I'm going to be doing a review on the plus model versus the K Elite I think the K Elite might be a better option for you. More to come when my review launches hopefully in a week or so.

You're paying for the added features and gimmicks. Coffee probably tasted a little better because it's brand new. When I descale my 3 year old Keurig, it always tastes better.

I bought the k Supreme +.
My only disappointment is the temperature control. The water is just hot enough. It's hotter with a warm up brew.
My favorite k cup so far is Pete's Major Dikasons.

I just got this and is it normal that it doesn’t close all the way down ? I see yours doesn’t either. I thought maybe it was the k cup I was using. I also have the new reusable cup and the same thing happens when you close it.

Hi, thanks for the reply . It’s the K supreme. Once you put the k cup in and close it you’ll notice a small gap up top. When you close it without a k cup it doesn’t have that gap. I’m assuming this is normal, because I see the same gap in the video when you put your k cup in. Just making sure this normal because my is brand new.
It never caused an issue for me though. Also because I wanted a stronger cup of coffee I switched to the supreme plus because it offers 3 strength settings.

I own the plus since august, it does auto turn on. The reservoir cannot be moved to the back like on the normal supreme however.
Thanks Drudigger for your comment. Possibly Keurig just needs to clean that up from their website. I'm surprised the tank can't be moved but I guess that's not a bug deal for most people. Again thank you.
I didn't see that you pushed the pod down, you just dropped it in and then shut the top of the machine - is that the correct way ?

I actually purchased several months ago the k supreme and we loved it and I’m pretty sure on that model you don’t need to push the pod down, we had a house fire on 12/29 so I had to purchase, amongst everything else in the house a new Keurig, so I decided to go with the supreme plus. Had it for a week and just returned it, and went back to the k supreme which I like much better. The reason I returned it is because from day 1 I had coffee grounds in every cup I brewed. To get back to pushing the pod down, on the k plus yes , I always pushed it down before shutting the top . Thinking this would be my coffee ground problem, I tried not pushing it down as well and still grounds in my coffee :(. Ironically, there was another customer behind me returning the same model for the same reason!
I do get some coffee grounds as well but I like that it makes the coffee stronger. Weird that the new model with have this issue, I didn’t notice it in the beginning.
@@TechMadeEzy I will make a smaller cup of coffee for a stronger brew ! LOL Taking that last sip of what is in the cup and having a mouthful of ground is NOT pleasant , to me anyway :)
What you can do is after you brew up you can do a 6 ounce with just water and that’ll clean it out a little bit

I have to call Keurig for a new one! I haven’t had the damn thing 6 months and it’s starting to separate around the handle! We only make coffee 2 maybe 3 times a day and it shouldn’t be doing this already! Also, it could be just one-half to an inch taller so it could take my Starschmucks coffee tumblers! For whatever reason, their 20oz. tumblers are taller than most and NONE of them fit...except for the ceramic ones but those are too heavy to carry around! Needless to say, I had to buy some new shorter ones!

@@TechMadeEzy Just spoke with Keurig and they will be replacing it FREE OF CHARGE! They told me to just toss the other one out! I’ll keep the removable reservoir!

It is no good at all. water can't be heated to very hot, so the coffee is not very hot either. not for heavy coffee drinkers. this thing is for the people who want to show. and if you use a not very tall cup, the coffee will splash everywhere.

We recently purchased the Plus...it’s a decent machine, but the design of the reusable k-cup is AWFUL!! If you don’t get it seated perfectly, the whole thing blows and and you end up with coffee grounds all over the inside and outside of the machine...This has happened to us many times and it can ruin a person’s day...I have to tip it over the sink and flush the grounds out of the inside..😡😡😡

Strange that the cup doesn’t automatically sit in properly. I actually found that my k-cups fit in better that my previous machine. The receptacle that you insert your k-cup into may not be installed properly. That part is removable. So, it could be miss aligned.
@@Itsme-vo4fx the k-cups are not a problem..where it runs afoul is with the reusable universal k cup...it pops open during brewing unless you get it EXACTLY right .. just popping the filled unit into the brewing basket can easily knock the cover loose...terrible design in my opinion.

we are on our 3rd replacement so far. issues with water volume output on both. 1st one had a motor issue.
Crazy, that stinks Vincent so sorry. I ended up swapping mine for the k supreme plus, so far I like how strong it can make my coffee, temp settings don’t work so great but I don’t need a steaming hot cup of coffee just hot enough.
@@TechMadeEzy keurig had been helpful in sending replacement units and return shipping labels. Im hard pressed to think we would get a 3rd dud, but if it happens I may look into an older model. The over ice function is awesome though!

Stay away from this crappy machine!! My second Supreme plus just pooched itself today after just only four months of ownership. My first only lasted two months. Both were bought from Costco in Southern Ontario. The first one was replaced by Costco because it failed within their warranty period of 90 days. Keurig is replacing my second one. Total junk IMHO.

DO NOT BUY THIS machine. It has many poor reviews. I bought the K-cup supreme a month ago. Totally crappy product. Water spills all over the place. The descale light stays on even after descaling. I like the look of the machine and the handle for the water. But other than that totally disappointed.
I also don’t like the quiet machine. I want to hear the sounds of the coffee brewing...the sizzles... like I’m in a coffee shop with a barista preparing the coffee. This is quiet machine feels like a leaky faucet. Not a fan. BTW, I have owned several keurig brewers but this is by far the worst machine.
Don’t buy it. About to throw it out in the trash!
