I honestly love 7 so much, the art, animation and designs are some of my favorite while the OST absolutely slaps. Even putting Dr. Light explaining every power up in-depth which is completely unskippable and ANNOYING AS HELL aside it's definitely one of, if not my favorite in the series and a great step forward, especially considering it was on the SNES, which made it even more astonishing for me. 8 sticks out like a sore thumb, and while I love it as well, it's...well it sure is something.
I know. My point is that there's only 4 minutes more of collecting between any% and 100% in the TASes. It's funny how close to each other they are when most games' TASes have a stark contrast between any% and 100%
@@davidthecommenter It's wild when a game has an insanely short develop time but manages to be really good. Like, I still think Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game ever, and it had only a year's dev time.
The user was playing the Japanese version. In the Western version, the title screen has a black background. In the Japanese version, it has a dark purple background. In Japan, Mega Man is referred to as Rockman, and each game in the Mega Man Classic series has a subtitle. In the case of Mega Man 7, it is 宿命の対決! (Shukumei no Taiketsu!), meaning “Showdown of Destiny!”. One thing the Japanese version has that the Western version lacks is Roll or Auto commenting in place of Dr. Light when Mega Man collects a Robot Master module. Another thing that the Japanese version has that the Western version has is a brief description of each Robot Master stage, e.g. “Freeze Man: Don’t Slip.”
I think it's just an easter egg, like the birds in MM2: hold down the "B" button while selecting the Shade Man stage and continue to hold it until the stage begins

It's mentioned in the title and description that it's a "tool-assisted-speedrun" (TAS) and this channel only showcases this type of speedrun (Basically you enter a program and the computer will run it and play the game for you)
Of all my thousands of playthroughs of this game, this TAS taught me that Treble has a collision box. XD
I only now made the connection that Dr. Light named his robots Rock and Roll, what a rebel.
And Protoman is called Blues
@@liber5964 Bass and Treble are called Forte and Gospel. Mega Man, like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, _loves_ its musical references.
This game introduced so much (characters, concepts, visuals), only for 8 onwards to just kind of do their own thing.
Huge shame. But hey, at least they aren't all bad.
Rush Jet? you can have Rush Bike instead, take it or leave it
@@thejedisonic67 but with rush jet you can fly
I love 8, but even I admit it's basically the Resident Evil 5 of the series lol
@@ScrambledAndBenedict MEGAMAN AWTE IS A WEALLY GOWD GAWM, W-MEGAMAN.

The art is SO good that TASvideos uses Megaman's sliding sprite in its logo. "When human skills are just not enough."
Finally someone else besides me finds the OST of this game as a banger
@damsen978 Yeah, but does X put on a Met shell?
thought so
@damsen978 I suppose this is a draw
@damsen978 brother took it to heart that's crazy
Tas channel posting bangers recently, sparky tas are the best.
I love how the 100% run is only 4 minutes longer than the normal run
Any% which means reach the credits screen as fast as possible
I know. My point is that there's only 4 minutes more of collecting between any% and 100% in the TASes. It's funny how close to each other they are when most games' TASes have a stark contrast between any% and 100%
@@chackbro1 mmx4 x 100% and no items, has 20 sec of difference. Even zero any% and 100% has 20 sec difference
Yeah those are also cool with how close they are. Still quite strange when compared to TASing overall
I find that fact to be one of my favorites with tas-es. Sometimes collecting just takes a few extra minutes
Some of my fav parts of this vid: 22:50 - 23:10, 25:13 - 25:34, 26:13, 26:58 - 27:02, 27:12, 27:39
I'll edit this later, and see if there are any more parts that I like.

My favorite MegaMan game ever

"Megaman attempts to violate the first robotic law in 49 minutes"

7:34 How did he do that Wall Jump? It even reminds a lot of what's in Megaman 2 - The Power Fighters
You can walljump off of Burst Man's walls. Not incredibly useful, but you can use it to evade some of his attacks
X prototype boots
7:33 wait this isn’t mega man x
You’re right. Except you ignored the fact that megaman hit the bubbles on the left wall which made him bounce to the right.
