Mid-tier Hiking Shoes Comparison, Comfort and Grip, Hoka vs Altra vs Danner

Trying another set of hiking shoes, surprisingly the hoka's gripped way better than the really grippy looking Ultras. Danner had a nice idea for the fit of the upper on their shoe, but not enough cushioning.
If you are walking all day, the Altra Olympus 4 seems like it would be great because it has the most cushion on the heel and forefoot.
Hiking wise I would go with the Hoka because of the incredible grip, especially in places like Moab.

Great idea for a video! Nice comparison. I have thought about switching from the Altra to Hoka several times. But, I have stayed with the Altra for backpacking. New follower here. Crow✌️
