Spearfishing in a clear freshwater stream for carp and suckers. Please give me honest feedback about any of my videos! It helps me make better videos for you! As always thank you for watching!
Dude I would kill for that kind of visibility. I'm too old now but I spear fished most of My younger life in lake maurpas and pontchatrain. I am from south Louisiana. Most times we were lucky to get 2 to 3 foot visibility. Occasionally if the gods were on our side we got 6 to 10 feet. The only time I ever saw water that clear was when I went to florida to get certified to dive. Even when we dove oil rigs in the gulf it was not that clear, Don't get me wrong in the gulf you could see 50 to 100 feet just because there wasn't anything to obstruct your view. Here carp are considered trash fish and we don't eat them. What do you do with them?
Carp are very invasive species all throughout the United States. I understand what your thinking and it is a waste of fish but no one in the area eats them. I do use some of the carp as organic compost in my garden and the suckers I'll take a few for catfish bait!
