I think the saying "some things are better left unsolved" in this case means that anything that could be revealed could never be as interesting as what we imagine it could be.
I really wish they didn’t scrap the story mode. Some of these things would be really cool to see play out on story missions. The Junkers having an airship would be super cool. Maybe you could play as the Junkers and Null Sector tries to recapture their ship, so you have to defend it. I hope someday they try the story missions again. The playable characters could be Junker Queen, Roadhog, Junkrat, and Ana. I say Ana because in her voice lines with Junker Queen, they seem like they could get along well. Ana has been to Junker Town too. This could reintroduce Ana back into Overwatch and have her go to Watchpoint Gibraltar with the Junkers after the mission. Overwatch calls them in for questioning after the Null Sector attack. Even if we have to wait years in-between getting missions, it’s better than nothing.
Instead of Wrecking Ball being playable, he could be a support-like character. For example, if you got trapped in a room and couldn’t get out, he could crawl through the vents and either chew on some wires or get to a control room to get you out.
A mystery I've always wondered about: What was the "anomaly" over Antarctica that Mei's research team was researching? It's the one she referred to it having atmospheric fluctuations above it

To answer: Overwatch Declassified says: Gwishin are being produced by an autonomous Omnium in the East China Sea, and learning from each fight. Anubis probably created that omnium to gather intel if Anubis fell. Not all robots could be awakened by Aurora, either, due to hardware. Once the Awakening happened, Anubis studied and removed the hardware from new designs to prevent future warbots from being Awakened. We don’t know what the sombra eye symbol is, but a heroes Ascendant story stated the eye conspiracy is connected to Oasis, who deals with 'predictive anti crime ai' -- maybe its that? Bc once Sombra was found by the eye conspiracy she ditched her identity and became Sombra. So it might be an anti-crime predictive ai. The physical Iris left behind by Aurora IS most likely a form of hard light technology. Aurora's sentience was a lucky chance of Quantum Mechanics working just right. What is weird is that Mars is having weather anomalies just like Earth is. Not just extremes, but inexplicable weather patterns (the storm that hit Havana where Maximilien was, b lined it in a bizarre path) Hammond did not cause the communication issues with the Mars colony. Lucheng abandoned the Mars project. Hammond notified the Lunar colony space apes that Earth was monitorying them. It was stated tgat the lunar colony has a new building being built, presumably by the space apes. Heroes Ascendant story pointed out that the eye conspiracy is connected to the explosion/caused it, and Sombra says the eye conspiracy is connected to Oasis. Junkrat's treasure is confirmed to be a flying ship of some kind. This gives the Junkers access to the globe now. If anubis escapes, it can mindcontrol any omnic to it's will. Aurora's awakening has yet to be replicated, its a one time deal. Talon is looking for 'dog artifacts' around the world and Venture most likely has that artifact/will find that artifact. Omnicode symbols are gibberish, unfortunately. I know, I have looked and tried lol. They copy paste too many symbols. Doomfist's tech might be similar to illari's technologies, in that its secret high tech from indigenous nations. The first doomfist passed away, and iirc the second doomfist stole the weapon. If Blizzard was actually a good company... they would take advantage of this IP & try to partner with a streaming service to create a show done in the same style as the OG trailers. It would probably help with the "image" that OW has & give them plenty of time to stay relevant for them to actually give us a story-mode game.
Would have been awesome, but blizz, in its infinite wisdom, has sued Netflix, who was actively making a show about Overwatch. Don't know the details tho.

The way Sigma walks about the Iris (as if it’s a person), and the fact that Echo (another one of Dr. Liao’s projects) was originally going to be named Iris makes me think that the implication is vaguely that the iris is what Aurora became after transcending and/or what gave/gives them their sentience and some of their abilities (considering Sigma and Zen’s abilities are oddly similar). And I don’t think the creepy eye symbol from Sombra’s story *is* the iris but actually the polar opposite, some shadowy cabal that was meant to be antithetical to aurora’s mission, some people with an interest in making omnics subservient again. Since the last hint of story we got via the PVE missions was focused around omnics getting kidnapped and basically vegetated, maybe the devices on their heads were meant to undo or block whatever the iris has given them.

I hope the eye symbol relates to the another AI that predated anubis, but was used as the baseline code of Anubis, when auroa releashed the omnics it escaped and became separate again.
For the What is The Iris part I have a theory that somewhat does involve Magic but it's all science really. So since a robot was created to have sentience, and then a machine was created to share that sentience, Aurora herself was able to withstand that machine and then use her own technologies to essentially ascend into pure "bio-light" or something similar, like technology or electricity in it's purest form, so pure it's able to stabilize into its own form/shape. Which is what Aurora became and holds herself together like that in order to in a way continue existing in a plane higher than her physical body.
Speaking of lore drops, I'm still waiting for that Lucio animated short. He's gotten no love in lore respects since the game originally came out. In fact he's gotten negative lore with his concert posters removed from Numbani and the stuff in the OW2 PvE getting deleted.
I think the Iris mystery is lowkey pretty solved Aurora was Mina Liao's first true AI and and they fought to make her a citizen Then the omnic crisis began because of Rogue AI But to solve that, Mina came up with the idea to upload most of Aurora's brain into all omnics including the Rogue ones - thus causing them to gain true sentience and save the world In return, what was once Aurora (or what was left after the transfer) became The Iris, which doesn't *appear* to do anything really but give off light - but Omnics across the world recognize Aurora's sacrifice by acknowledging (or for the Shambali, worshipping and maintaining) The Iris. I think it's pretty confirmed in-canon to have formed during the mass-upload as part of Aurora's sacrifice if I'm not mistaken The fact that it in-canon is "Unexplanable by science" is because no one - not even truly Mina Liao, who at this point in the story is dead and all of her knowledge with her - no one understands AI I think it arguably should be explainable but as a writer - it being FULLY unexplainable helps hammer home that AI as a whole is fully unexplainable - it's more on-theme
Blizzard is literally sitting on a gold mine and they do nothing about it. Such a shame, such a waste of a lore. It genuinely makes me disappointed because we'll probably never get answers to these things
imagine you're a blizzard big manager or something and you see millions of people playing fucking LoL because of the impeccable lore that arcane created and your first thought is "what if there is no fucking lore to this game"
my teorie after hearing the story about junks trasure. then im quite shure the whole city can fly and junk found the the "save" (control center) of the whole junk city
Which is unfortunate cus they’ve had 8 years to tell it through playing the game and they’ll rather leave it in trailers or in comics OUTSIDE the game.
i could be completely wrong but omnicode could be inspired by cybertrionion from transformers due to having similar symbols (look it up if u wanna see)
I don't think Sigma thought about the Iris in this, more like a women named Iris. He is Dutch and meeting a women called Iris isn't that hard there, i mean it's quite a common name in germany. (Ok maybe not anymore but it was). The German voice line for this is better you totally can hear the missunderstanding.
i want sumn to be clear. omnics are NOT equal to robots. omnics are short for omniscient which means a type of sentience. the null sector warbots and i assume the gwishin are just robots. ramattra, orisa, bastion, zenyatta, echo, and maximillien are omnics because they transcend their coding and have gained sentience and base morals. the ts-1 push bot, practice range bots, and null sector warbots are robots because they follow their coding and commands from someone else. its kinda crazy how media like overwatch 2 and detroit become human has introduced robot racism and have become marginalized like real minority groups today. i feel like just understanding basic overwatch lore, these terms should be easy to understand and not mix the 2 because theyre not interchangeable.

I think the Iris mystery is lowkey pretty solved
Aurora was Mina Liao's first true AI and and they fought to make her a citizen
Then the omnic crisis began because of Rogue AI
But to solve that, Mina came up with the idea to upload most of Aurora's brain into all omnics including the Rogue ones - thus causing them to gain true sentience and save the world
In return, what was once Aurora (or what was left after the transfer) became The Iris, which doesn't *appear* to do anything really but give off light - but Omnics across the world recognize Aurora's sacrifice by acknowledging (or for the Shambali, worshipping and maintaining) The Iris. I think it's pretty confirmed in-canon to have formed during the mass-upload as part of Aurora's sacrifice if I'm not mistaken
The fact that it in-canon is "Unexplanable by science" is because no one - not even truly Mina Liao, who at this point in the story is dead and all of her knowledge with her - no one understands AI
I think it arguably should be explainable but as a writer - it being FULLY unexplainable helps hammer home that AI as a whole is fully unexplainable - it's more on-theme
Blizzard is literally sitting on a gold mine and they do nothing about it. Such a shame, such a waste of a lore. It genuinely makes me disappointed because we'll probably never get answers to these things
Biggest mystery is why blizard threw 2 years of work into the trash for microtransactions
*watches "Unsolved OW mysteries" *
"And this mystery has never been solved"
Me: 🤯
Didn't the Phreaks say how easy it was to break in? I reckon it might have been a set up by Moira to force the human experimentation
you forgot about kiriko mystery. how tf she trained with young shimadas and about 15 years younger than them.
wait so ive just noticed that the overwatch lore and the horizon zero dawn law is the same thing
biggest mystery is why Blizzard hates Venture so much
I really want more lore characters playable like maximillien, emre and Dae-hyun etc
Isnt it a bit odd that, if omnics are intelligent and have sentience, the lore of Overwatch is effectively a race war?
Good video by the way.
It's too bad we'll never know since they completely destroyed this game and it's story😢
And all for money, at that
@falconeye1801 it's really sad. I grew up playing starcraft and warcraft 2 and 3. Watching blizzard implode has not been fun.
imagine you're a blizzard big manager or something and you see millions of people playing fucking LoL because of the impeccable lore that arcane created and your first thought is "what if there is no fucking lore to this game"
We got to have an animated series that can progress this story. It's too good to be wasted!!
@@limelrac Absolutely! I love the cinematics.
Looks like watchover is the new matpat
WTF DO YOU MEAN SHOOTING STAR CAME OUT SIX YEARS AGO
Every battle feels awesome he said.
HAIR CUT LOOKING SMOOOOOOOOTHEEEEE
If the lore was so good the game wouldn't be so stagnant
Missed opportunity to let omnics that you play be able to read the omnic language. Like have it actually animate for them when they look at it.
maxamilien jumpscare
The dva cinimatic came out 6 years ago… bro
Why does it feel like all of these new lore drops lead to nothing and have 0 meaning
This man shaved himself for the ad guys we gotta subscribe
Where can I watch the cinematic with Sombra not the one with widow and reaper the other one
Yknow I’m really excited for marvel rivals, but I hope it inspires ow to up their game lore and gameplay wise
the biggest mystery in overwatch is why can i never get a good team
my teorie after hearing the story about junks trasure. then im quite shure the whole city can fly and junk found the the "save" (control center) of the whole junk city
I still dont understand the OW lore
Which is unfortunate cus they’ve had 8 years to tell it through playing the game and they’ll rather leave it in trailers or in comics OUTSIDE the game.
i could be completely wrong but omnicode could be inspired by cybertrionion from transformers due to having similar symbols (look it up if u wanna see)
NOO your beautiful hair 😔
why didn't they just nuke all the omniums during omnic crisis?
you mean overwatch HAD insane lore.
Another banger
Guys new idea the eye is actually the EYEIris
“The eye” are the la-Li-lu-le-lo
i’ve always wondered why i get queued with the most fucked up shit going on in vc. can you solve that mystery?
I don't think Sigma thought about the Iris in this, more like a women named Iris. He is Dutch and meeting a women called Iris isn't that hard there, i mean it's quite a common name in germany. (Ok maybe not anymore but it was). The German voice line for this is better you totally can hear the missunderstanding.
Ah yes , Overwatch’s mystery of lazy writing
Only Jeff knows the answers,
i want sumn to be clear. omnics are NOT equal to robots. omnics are short for omniscient which means a type of sentience. the null sector warbots and i assume the gwishin are just robots. ramattra, orisa, bastion, zenyatta, echo, and maximillien are omnics because they transcend their coding and have gained sentience and base morals. the ts-1 push bot, practice range bots, and null sector warbots are robots because they follow their coding and commands from someone else. its kinda crazy how media like overwatch 2 and detroit become human has introduced robot racism and have become marginalized like real minority groups today. i feel like just understanding basic overwatch lore, these terms should be easy to understand and not mix the 2 because theyre not interchangeable.
Wha- what did you do with your awesome beautiful hair!!😢😢 now that is a mystery of why you got a ummm eh haircut and turned it into a- I can speak anymore😢
Personally the biggest mystery im curious about is why is there suddenly no story for overwatch anymore?
We went from having cinematics about how Tracer must saved a political figure but fails which builds character for Tracer to: An animation about a girl kicking a rock-
I'm pretty sure they fired most of their lore team and their old 3d animators
@technounionrepresentative4274 damn 💀
0:38 HAHAHA you leaked South Korea's location HAHAHA
They’ll never leave him alive
We NEED an goishian ramattra skin
The watchover looks exactly how he sounds
What is "Japanese Spirits" made of ,like there dragons or the fox.
I love your videos
