I just realized, the random message you can get early in Security Breach that just says "fire dave, he sucks," could actually imply the Silver Eyes Trilogy parallel since that is the name William uses when pretending to be an employee in the books.
I think that note ties to how easy it became to get people fired at that point. Theres another that mentions an incodent involving chicken alfredo, mentioning how a bunch of people were being fired for dumb reasons. Vanessa is shown writing fake reports, but there is also maybe Gregory in play, but someome knew it was easy to get the system to terminate people via a complaint
@@PogChokeI dunno, the wording is pretty weird to me. Plus everyone knows Scott cares about the community! He's been interacting with it for almost a whole decade!
I love how much effort and thought was put into this, and honestly, any theory that doesn't just erase the past games and pretend they don't exist is a win in my book. Love it all mate! I look forward to the next one
A well-crafted theory video. I saw the stream Scott joined, and I thought Scott’s reaction to what John spoiled in the stream meant that parallels were drawn ONLY in Security Breach and Ruin. But damn, predicting Sister Location 2? That’s surely “ambitious”, and this is why I find John’s theories intriguing.
@@nyssfromtheabyss3839 they did, with security breach. one day a company emailed matpat saying something like "wow you cracked the lore blah blah blah". that was steelwool, thats why security breach's lore is so bad and stuff, they changed it last minute because people already figured it out.
I remember reading the FNAF books to catch up on lore before Ruin came out. And when I was reading the OG trilogy and noticed how the original restaurant had a huge mall built around it, it definitely got a raised eyebrow from me. So many details in the books seemed odd. Definitely did not catch the additional parallels of the cave though. Can't wait to see where this franchise takes us
@@VODYJOLMS here's a thing. First Fnaf was supposed to be Scott's last game. And Fnaf 3 was supposed to be last Fnaf game, and Fnaf 4, and maybe Fnaf 6 and all the way until Fnaf 57.
I love this theory! It makes so much sense, and you have a hell of a lot of research to back it up. Congratulations on Scott watching your stream, that’s a massive milestone!
FuhNaff not only showed Scott that he is getting the theory right, but he also gave him more ideas on fitting the puzzle pieces to his work in progress lore, cause he really did seem interested.
I've always said, 100% of FNAF lore is 10% what Scott originally planned, 40% what he comes up with and 50% ideas from theorists he likes and integrates into the story lmao
A fantastic theory, one that almost seems to line up too well. The parallels are there and pretty dang close, between the games and the books. I'm definitely on board with this theory going forward. I said this on Mat's theory as well, the only thing that sticks out to me is the Afton ending being completely written off as not real. Yes, I agree that PQ ending is canon; but it feels like the Afton ending could be as well. It might be too meta of a thought, but it's weird to me that we find all of these comics scattered around the pizzaplex. The Afton one in particular being found in his boss fight room. Which, realistically, would only make sense to be down there if someone else had been and drew that. (Again, might be overly thinking collectible mechanics, but this is FNAF) If the Afton ending never happened, it feels weird that "Gregory" would draw a picture of a decayed Afton and the Blob. A creature that was introduced in SB and we don't see untill the very end. It's a unique design, including Funtime Freddy being the head of the Blob. We know that the Blob is real, as we see it in the early parts of Ruin. It's also what dug out that circular and riged tunnel, if you ask me. Clearly Afton is gone too, which would make sense by this theory if it was never Afton. But the Blob still exists. So I don't know if Gregory is the one who drew those comics, if the Mimic or someone else did (somehow), it just seems odd to me. Plus, there's also Vanny graffiti in the entryway, which shouldn't be there if she's been freed; and there's all the writing and graffiti within the vent leading to her hideout. TLDR: I think a weird mix of PQ and Afton ending occured. To what degree, I don't know. There are just a few things that strike me as odd to rule out the Afton ending completely.
Maybe Gregory saw the Blob and then drew it. He could've seen the Blob at any point, especially if he went underground to help set up the new security system (which is the most likely). The Afton ending isn't canon.
@@lu70lo Even if he did help set up the new security system, that feels like a very soft connection or explanation to write off Gregory seeing the blob. We still don't know for certain who set up that security system, or when it was installed. Personally, I don't think Gregory was down that far to help with that. There doesn't seem to be any clear way to reach that lowest level, aside from the path the games routes you on. Which would be a pain to try and send supplies down to build a complicated security network. Right before the Mimic chase too, Gregory mentions that someone else has the layout of those tunnels and to listen to them. Instead of Gregory knowing the way and leading us out of memory. It's possible the Vanessa knew about the system due to her time as Vanny (assuming Steel Wool doesn't try to pull another surprise on us and say they're separate characters or twins. But that's another thought entirely.) We have the old Vanny mask, decked out with tech to help us navigate the AR world. Although the security mask lines up more with the VR mask, rather than Vanny's SB mask. I could be totally wrong here, and if I am that's fine. That's just my thoughts on things and you're allowed to have yours as well ^^ For now, I think I just need a bit more proof to show only PQ ending is canon, and not a mix of PQ & Afton.
"Clearly Afton is gone too, which would make sense by this theory if it was never Afton" Nah I don't think Mimic=Circus Baby disproves any lingering presence of Afton in Ruin. Have you seen the easter egg of Glitchtrap's shadow in the Princess Quest room in Ruin? It could just be an easter egg and nothing else, or it could be Steel Wool tryna tell us that Afton (or whatever's left of him idk) is still gonna be relevant to the story
@@mon_moi That could be, I do remember seeing those lil glitched guys on the wall in Vanny's room. I more inclined to believe those are just visual things, kinda like the Eclipse ceiling in the poster room. Again though, your thoughts are valid! It's just nice to have general theory discussion. But, I can still see Afton being around too, kinda by the same logic I used for the Afton ending comic existing. Who knows though, we still have a lot of unknowns at the moment.
The parallels are certainly there! I'd be seriously surprised if this arc wasn't at least brought up as a possibility during development, even if it's not where the story ultimately goes
I feel super dumb because I read the Silver Eyes trilogy way before I saw Security Breach or Ruin and I didn’t see any of the connections, but now, as a FNAF book-reader, it’s clearer. Don’t let anyone bring you down John, your theories are some of my favorites to listen to. And this is the best fnaf theory I’ve heard in a while! ❤
I second this, I feel so dumb for not seeing the connections Havinf read the books XD Great work John!! You're one of the brightest and most observant minds of our theorist generation
anyone else remember when FNAF was a creepy Chuck-E-Cheese style horror game with a few small lore implications? Props to you, John, for working so hard to solve of all this and have it actually make a ton of sense, because my brain is officially broken at this point.
Yeah, I low-key miss the simpler times, before Scott picked up a fascination with sci-fi and alternate reality shit. I really miss when the series was about potentially haunted animatronics.
Ok I absolutely LOVE this theory! Not only was it interesting but I loveeee how well the books parallel the games & boy am I glad to be returning to Sister Location AKA one of my faves in the series! Can’t wait for MatPat to react to this, see you at the Circus John!!
Nothing beats the aesthetics of SL and the excitement from the lore drops that game provided. Still one of my faves, despite missing much needed checkpoints lol.
The books are not parallel to the games LMAO but yes, I agree that I'm excited to see SL in Help Wanted 2 (although honestly I'm even more excited for FNaF 6, seeing his final in VR would be amazing)
Damn, this series gets more and more twisted and confusing but increasingly interesting as well! Nice hint on the reality merging with the digital world, since I can't tell the book's and game's lores apart anymore😂
Can someone give me a list of all the freddy books in order I didn’t read them and that’s the only that got me confused what happens in the books. Other than that I understand everything
Everyone please stay respectful in the comments, even if you can debunk the theory or don't personally like it, you can say that without being nasty to John!
This needs a pin. I may not agree with all the theories he's posted but, that's what makes it fun. Debunking or adding information through cross referencing. I respect the comparisons and studies he does. Whether I believe in it or not, it's very fun to watch and get me thinking. ❤😊❤
I feel like the real creepiness of it hasn't been explored tooooo heavily in the games, but a robot trying it's hardest to become human by sheer evil force is actually terrifying. I'm sure Baddington can have a great time making it horrifying
Honestly, dude, with the way the Mimic looked in his patched up costume, he reminds me of Chucky from Child's Play; who, much like the Mimic, wants to take a child's body to become human. It seems like they weren't being subtle with that one.
youre one of the reasons fnaf means so much to me now. nowdays i often hear that fnaf has fallen off and ended up in *ruin* because of the way the story and feel of the series evolved over time. but for me personally, this keeps it alive. and sure, ill admit it's rare for me to find the series scary anymore. but the way the community gathers like this to expose the truths of the series means so much to me. having us all gather to share our thoughts and theories about this complex story keeps the series alive to me. nothing stays the same, but having everyone here makes the greatest difference
Holy theroy, this man's brain is crazy. The fact that he was able to connect the games with the books and even the tiny details in ruin/securitybreach like, the marionette plushies or the ruin rooms connecting to sister location's rooms is insane. Props to fuhnaf for doin all this just for our entertainment.
Scott leaving a comment is always a nice sign. Brings me back to the “what is seen in the shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child” era of fnaf. Edit: if mimic is a parallel to book Charlie, that likely means that William is still out there as he returns in Fourth closet, having escaped the spring trap suit. Another comparison is that the Blob has a striking resemblance to the Afton amalgamation from the fourth closet(not the one from fazbear frights) and in the burntrap ending we see the blob kill burntrap who is William. Since that ending is no longer canon and we know now that William is inside the recharge station still, it’s likely that if William was fully charged and didn’t have his revival butchered like in the burntrap ending, he likely would’ve been able to regenerate more flesh like, similarly to how afton healed on the time between silver eyes and fourth closet. The ending of Help wanted 2 may even parallel parallel Fourth closets ending, with William likely being killed by the blob again, the mimic either being set free or destroyed similarly to mimic Charlie.
Then again, not everything will be an exact parallel to the books. As Scott said, the books is an AU so some things in the games could be completely different from the books.
@@Glitchberrytrue, but the concrete door and Wolf being behind it and then getting attacked by foxy (parallel to Roxy saving Cassie) is what sold it to me, this theory is probably my favourite out of the bunch so far as it doesn’t force burntrap to be mimic (he’s clearly Afton) it will likely wrap up the franchise is a good way with William being killed by whatever his creation will be in help wanted 2 (if that does happen) and Charlie mimic finally moving on, with Vanessa, Gregory, Freddy and Cassie having a happy ending.
I think this is a pretty brilliant series of connection that makes a lot of sense. Even if you didn’t nail everything 100%, I think there’s a pretty high chance you’ve guessed a lot of the major overall beats going forward. One additional connection you didn’t mention explicitly that sells me on Help Wanted 2 being a continuation of this bringing us to Baby is the hand sewn Glitchtrap costume from the end of Help Wanted. I could easily see that hand sewn costume being from the same era as the carnival costumes we find in the mimic’s room at the end of Ruin.
Someone's giving MatPat a run for his money. 👀 In all honesty though, it's been SO great to watch your theories come alive. I started tuning in after Security Breach, and even in that short amount of time, you've started flourishing and really holding your own against the other big theorists. I love this. Proud of you and your accomplishments, floored by the amount of research and thought you've put into these theories, and cannot wait to see where this all goes, not only for your channel but for the series as a whole. A LOT of compelling arguments in this one, bravo, John, bravo. 👏👏👏👏
Your mention of the parallels to the TSE trilogy in the stream made me go on a lore hunt of my own through the books. The unfinished robot in Henry's workshop is from the torso up, just like how Edwin's Mimic is described. It's also worthy to point out that she was finished paired Henry's rage and after completion was told, "You are wrong."
I havent read the books, but ive watch others read and describe them but isnt the story teller ( the white tiger guy with the arms???) an animatronic thats only the torso and up? So the endo could belong to them as well maybe?
I’ve always wondered, ever since sister location first came out, why do we never see baby. She’s literally not in the game at all, not even in the custom mode. It was just an observation, not a theory, so i didn’t know what to make of it. And I didn’t hear really anyone else talking about it either. Then FNAF 6 dropped and we see her, so i figured it was just a dropped plotline. So happy to see a payoff after all this time. I really hope this theory is correct. Thank you John
Imagine one day, Fuhnaff could possibly become one of MatPat’s new Theorist partners then it will actually help connect the lore to the biggest FNAF puzzle piece ever.
They're just trying to ask if the name has another meaning, does "fuhnaff" stand for FNAF but it's just spelled differently or has it another meaning? (I'd assume it's just FNAF spelled differently) @@heddja
The amount of times I got chills while watching this is INSANE. Your scripting and editing style have gotten a lot more polished and impactful at an impressive pace. I really love your audio choices and when you cut the music to hit a important point, leaving a lasting impression. This makes me even more eager to see what your timeline video ends up being in the future! 🤩 Fantastic work, John. I'm so excited you're a part of this community bringing a MUCH needed fresh take on these theories. Now to wait for MatPat's multi-part series reacting to this and pausing to ask you a question milliseconds before you answer it in your video lol 👀
The idea that Baby is a mimic, does explain her functions. Baby could have witnessed William kill Charlie, and considering there were no witnesses, she learned how to kill a kid without anyone being around. It could explain why Baby was always counting the kids to see when only one would show up. She uses the ice cream as bait to lure Elizabeth, and uses the claw that’s supposed to hold the ice cream to kill Elizabeth. It does give proper clarification to how Crying Child is scared of the robots, and why the main star Fredbear, has teeth in his stomach when he’s a nightmare. He must have witnessed his sisters death, which explains why the girls room in FNAF 4s mini game is empty, and from a kids perspective. Baby’s stomach opening and catching Elizabeth, from a kids perspective, would be seen as a stomach having a mouth.
Imo what makes someone the greatest theorist or whatever is there presentation and clarity over what their theory is. FuhNaff has had a couple of dud videos in the past and often times just doesn’t elaborate on connections he makes, he just assumes we’re all following along. I still like his videos, but yeah not the greatest imo Edit: this video was reall well presented tho. Didn’t get lost at all and is pretty convincing
Amazing theory. Ruin pointed out just how much of FNAF happened in the same location. Hilariously the only locations I can immediately think of that aren't right there are the ones in the first three games. I find that your theories always have something unique to bring to the table like the games mirroring the novel trilogy. Great work, keep it up, and remember to smile, you are the face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Sidenote: Help Wanted 2 is the first FNAF game since FNAF 4 to have a number in the title meaning it's been over 8 years since a number.
Wow i did not expect the books to come in. As much as i supported Matpat when he was yelling out to the world that the books have to be considered as well, i felt a reoccurring connection to the books. As that time i was confused and damped it down, i forgot it for a while. Good to see you rinally figured it out!
Dude, you did great. You basically covered everything MatPat pulled together for the theory he just released today and more. I think you definitely nailed it. Great job!!
That last part made me so happy. I’m glad you’re still able to give us your thoughts without caring what gatekeeping Twitter weirdos have to say. We can’t figure out this story if people are afraid to speak their minds! Great theory my guy it’s definitely convincing!!
12:02 THANK YOU. SOMEONE ELSE FINALLY NOTICED. When I first played ruin and saw the Mimic, I noticed how similar Baby's head and their head were. My friends thought I was high.
I remember thinking about the similarities between the silver eyes and SB before, and you're right about the relationship between the twisted ones and ruin. I just can't believe that after all these years we are going back to the novel trilogy. It's definitely bold, considering how confusing the novels made the games in the past (to the point where Scott had to clarify their canonicity. Those were the days lol). I guess time will tell with what happens in help wanted 2, but I think this is a solid theory
they are grabbing inspiration from the books but taking it in their own direction, i dont think you can use the books as the be all end all but they are definetly taking ideas like the mimic
So, I'm going to start with I love John's theories. Normally, I don't actually agree with them much - they can be pretty out there, but it's a very interesting way to look at things and they're always a fresh take on something that's been rehashed to death and I thought had no life left in it. But this time, I think you've nailed it with the book parallels. Waaaay too many "coincidences" there. Time will tell. And congrats on attracting the attention of Scott! That's always a good sign, if also a bit of a maddening one.
Good stuff man. The points you make and the connections you draw from are way better presented here than in your earlier videos. You’ve always had fresh ideas, it just felt like you would get a bit lost in the sauce and it would be hard to follow you. But yeah this is really good, keep it up.
As you said Edwin, the creator of the original mimic ( the one he made for his son) was an engineer for fazbear entertainment. Right as we get the faz-wrench in Ruin, cassie says "It Looks Just Like My Dads." refering to the faz-wrench. This may be a long shot but, could Edwin be Cassie's father?
Congratulations. Amazing theory. Just clicked so many boxes for me, the moment you said "this is baby's endoskeleton" I was wide eyed and outta my bed, so many parallels to both the mimics and baby's behavior from their respective games. The identical pose to Golden Freddy and Baby in Sister Location being in "Suit Mode" *chef's kiss*.
Dude, this is probably your best theory yet!! My mind was blown by that connection to the first set of books!! Thank you for all the hard work it takes to create these videos for us! 💖
It never ceases to amaze me how much thought and planning is put into these theories. Evidence for everything, and the reveal of information throughout keeps my attention because the theory just keeps developing and expanding and....just....bravo. What a video!
I have only one thing to say about the theory and that is that Fnaf so is after fnaf sl and their for the mimic can not been used to build baby and his theory on how it connects with the rest is not even a real theory since it has already been proven it is not canon. However the rest of the video is a bit far stretched but I like it and I think that it is a good theory.
@@shadow-wolf9015Wait what are you talking about something being proven wrong? And what do you mean the mimic couldn't have been used to build Baby? It does can be very old
i am certain the books were foreshadowing future games and dlc (security breach, ruin, and help wanted 2) and I didnt realize it at first. this completely changed my mind on how i look at security breach, ruin, and soon (maybe) help wanted 2
Great theory! As soon as I saw the glowing mushrooms in the cave, I insantly thought of the Twisted Ones and all of the potential lore implications. I'm really down with the book-parallel direction the series appears to be going in :)
fire vid per usual one question tho that's probably obvious - how do u know that Fredbears' is the room connected to Baby's area from SL? did that get confirmed a long time ago & I forgot
It’s because the grayed out areas on the SL map directly mirror every single FNAF 4 location; the plush trap hallway, the house’s map, and the exact path to fredbear’s. It’s been such an annoying thing for theorists to piece together cause, what, the FNAF 4 locations are all connected to the SL bunker? It’s such an odd connection to make tbh but it is making so much more sense now with this theory. Hopefully I answered your question! :)
I just watched a completely different theory/TH-camr who mentioned this and confused me a bit. They used the layout of the map in the Funtime Freddy breaker room segment of Sister Location and said the outer rooms on the right mirrored the fnaf 4 layout so that’s the Afton house is near the SL location but they also quickly brushed over the outer room on the left being Fredbear’s family diner which we have no idea rlly if it’s layout but if we take into account that Fredbears is within walking distance of the Afton house which is near the Sister location area they should be all pretty close I think if not connected that could explain the scooper being in ruin
Well done John. This theory was very well put together and fazmazing to watch. To the memes like 8:14 to the editing and evidence backing up this all up. Your doing gods work John. And doing a lot for the community. Just like what Scott said in that Livestream. Excited for more theories from ya
bro this theory left me speechless, this is the best theory i have seen for fnaf security breach ruin, you connect everything so perfectly like puzzle peices
I love this theory. I personally like putting people’s theories together to try and come up with my own understanding. Putting this theory and MatPat’s creates a great storyline, can’t wait to see others theories to add onto the possible story line.
This actually finally makes more sense for the hidden mascots and the Brazil ending. Because the mascots show animals such as an elephant and lion who are animals that you might see in the circus. Also in the Brazil ending when Cassie puts on the mask in front of the cutout you do see Gregory, Helpy, and Vanessa sitting and eating ice cream and smiling. But there are also balloons in the background like if they are sitting and enjoying a show. Show this means that the dlc was definitely foreshadowing that the next FNAF game will take place at a carnival and who will be the animatronics? The circus animatronics that were revealed in Funko before the dlc released.
One thing that I find funny is that the wrecking ball is also property of Fazbear Entertainment! Do they own a construction company in addition to all their other assets? But this is a great theory.
The idea that Help Wanted 2 picks up where Ruin drops off honestly makes so much sense, given how long we’ve been waiting for the Ruin DLC. Not that it isn’t fantastic and it makes sense that they’d want to take a long time with it, because it’s packed with stuff, but if they were developing the follow up to Ruin at the same time as developing Ruin itself, to make sure the story connects and everything, I can definitely understand why it would take over a year for the DLC to release. I am so excited, you always make such fantastic videos, John!!! Thank you so much for renewing my love of FNAF and its Lore! :D
i love your theories! i cant wait to see how this one develops further. i mentioned this on twitter but i thought i'd bring it here too; there's an unused/early version of ruin's ending in which behind the concrete door was the original fnaf 1 animatronics instead of the mimic, and that feels like it may have some relation to your theory.
@@Alexzy39 The working theory I've seen is that the scene was going to be a 'real' recreation of the Help Wanted Ending - the FNAF 1 animatronics would be replaced with busted versions of the Rockstar Animatronics and the Mimic would stand in for Glitchtrap luring Cassidy to the curtain
i would like to think that the mimic was still going to show up, just that these fnaf 1 animatronics (or the glamrocks, there's a chance these fnaf 1 models were only placeholders) would all take on the mimic instead of JUST roxy. i don't think the ending changed much over development
"The Three Afton Children" on the Hill Other endings are Alternative parallels What if? Which was created by Pation 46 = GGY = Robotic Master Hacker = Gregory in comic form. M.X.E.S. {Techno Rabbit} It's badass . I like him and can't wait to get Help Wanted 2 and maybe Stell Woll finally makes a FredBear's Family Dinner game. Maybe Funtime Servise remaster in Security Breatch style it will be good continue in future. 😉💙😊💜🤩
@@HAZAHMASTER it's possible, but it's weird that the parallels between them are so much, i can have more than two nickel everytime i hear a parallel between games and books
Normally Fuhnaff’s theories are a combination of a fantastic eye for detail and wild leaps of logic. Great research but the overall motivation doesn’t always land. This one though is really convincing. The dots are connecting with this theory, and it tells a story that just all fits. Very well done!
Not sure anyone will ever convince me that Ruin isn't retconing SB. Everything indicated that the Burntrap ending was the cannon one, which fit from both a gameplay and story perspective. Really feels like they saw the reaction to SB, and Afton coming back again, and so they pivoted hard. Doesn't make Ruin bad, but does put a personal damper on my desire to theorize. If people panned the whole Mimic plotline I could see them pivoting again in the next game.
@@bunsenn5064I'm confused because the burntrap ending is the only one that requires you to destroy all of the animatronics even if the princess quest ending is canon which it is one of the 3 animatronics
You would have to ask Scott. He's the one who makes the calls on the story. It's hard to deny though that the parallels that John is describing between the books and the games aren't almost spot on, and when he brought up that other version of baby in the capsule in Fury's Rage, wow that gave me chills. It's not unreasonable to say that Afton in Burntrap is still down there somewhere but maybe he looks totally different, and maybe the model we saw in the base game is actually not what he looks like at all...
@@Zipperable The game, and the promotion around it, certainly pointed to the Burntrap ending being their original cannon ending though. Between the fact that it got a proper animated ending, that it was a "boss" fight (though terribly buggy), and the promotional material around the claws, it's hard to imagine they were originally planning anything else. Put another way, when SB came out, were people predicting the "Mimic in the basement" plotline? Sequels should flow logically from the material they follow. Nothing about SB's gameplay or story indicated this nefarious Mimic in the basement being the antagonist. It *did* strongly hint at Afton in virus form being the antagonist. The fact that the tangle, Burntrap, and Vanny, the three most important antagonists in SB basically had zero impact on Ruin's plot and got no follow up or continuity screams retcon to me. Doesn't mean they can't make a retcon work or make sense, but a well done retcon is still a retcon.
@WWIIIFanatic Like John said in his theory video, these events follow the events that happen in the first two books of the Silver Eyes respectively. Ruin is essentially a sequel, and being a sequel there's no problem with having another villain as the main antagonist, especially if this villain is the real big bad and what the story's been leading up, again backed by the books. Even if the burntrap ending is the real one, it's most likely to assume that the tangle killed burntrap in that end cutscene because that's what was implied. Still a lot of things don't line up for it to be true, such as Freddy saying that the elevator that they took could only survive 1 trip, yet Cassie takes the elevator in Ruin. Freddy is still trapped in the Pizzaplex and his head is missing, and Vanny is nowhere to be seen. However these events would line up with one of the endings in SB, being the best ending, which also happens to be the only 3 star ending, where Gregory takes Freddy's head after he's disassembled *in Fazer Blast* (also a cinematic), Vanny (assuming she's Vanessa) leaves the Pizzaplex with Gregory, and the elevator going to the caves is still intact because they didn't take it in the first place. Even so one could still assume that with this ending, Burntrap is still down there somewhere if he was indeed being put together by someone but we just haven't seen him yet, and that means that the real Burntrap looks different from the one Gregory drew up in his comic from the Burntrap ending. Playing the game for the first time, I must admit I did get some retcon vibes as well when I got to the caves while although I did think it was definitely the right move and made perfect sense with the story, there are just too many coincidences, mainly involving events from the books to these games to deny that this was more or less always the intended narrative of these couple games.
His 'retirement' never really fully happened. He's maybe not making the games with his own hands, by he's still involved with pretty much everything else. He's always been the lifeblood of FNAF, and no amount of twitter threads can take that away from him. He's maybe the single best developer when it comes to community care and interaction. The Fanverse, joining streams, making insane donations for St Judes etc. He'll always care about the community, even from a distance.
@@maxhowlett9661true, for all his flaws, he’s very attentive to his community and if nothing else, that’s a respectable and endearing quality to have, especially considering his writing style requires the community, it’s nice to see he cares
i think that vanny was the mimic because everyone thought that she would play a bigger role in the sb but she did the was always watching you learning how gregory talks and recording was he says
This makes so much sense. I think in Matpat's play-through, they even remarked on the weird face shape of the mimic endo. Now it just looks like Baby's cheeks were stuck to its face to me. Well done!
John just kept cooking this ENTIRE VIDEO! John’s attention to detail is actually insane. Especially for Scott to join his stream, I feel like shows how Scott KNOWS John is nearly on the mark. Even if it’s not 100% correct, this was an amazing theory! Love your enthusiasm and dedication to solving Ruin and the parallels with the Silver Eyes trilogy! Cannot WAIT for the final tales book and Help Wanted 2 for the hopeful confirmation!
This is actually my favorite theory for the mimic stuff now! Alot of the theories so far for the mimic have relied so heaily on its connection to the poteinal robo-greggory and the pizzaplex books being 100% accurate to game canon and tbh iv never been a fan? To me the books, like scott said, were always a way to see the games in another light but never be 1 to 1 accurate, so idk why suddenly those books would be diffrent format ya know? So everyone taking the pizzaplex books and going "ah yes 100% what happened!" Just really never set right to me. But this, not only makes sense but it also is a narrativily satisfying way to explain how the mimic came about! Im sure its not 100% accurate and/or has its own issues but I like this one a whole of alot better Also the mimic's face strutcture ad features seems to match baby's as well!
I have an idea for what happened to Cassie’s Dad :) In Security Breach, there is a technician or maintenance man (Can’t remember which one) that was getting a little bit too suspicious of the Princess Quest cabinets. Long story short he realises that something awful is happening in Princess Quest. He goes crazy trying to save the princess. He can’t find the 3rd cabinet! Faz Bear realises that he is too close. They fire him and it’s hinted that he never finished it and maybe goes insane. He might of seen the princess like his daughter after a while. And feels guilty about how he can’t be there to save or help her. Seeing how alone she is, no friends, no mother, barley around father. Maybe this was his way of helping his daughter or relieving some of this own guilt. Or this theory means nothing and he just died in the “All stuff Meeting” idk just a theory :)
Definitely been waiting for this. What a amazing theory, I randomly bought the 4th closet graphic novel a few days ago, and after reading it and hearing about all the parallels to Ruin, I'm certain Charlie and Elizabeth are behind Modern fnaf lore, especially with that last random Nightmarionne plush.
The parallels you pointed out between the og book series and these games gave me literal whiplash. I genuinely tend to forget those books exist but holy crap its so uncanny. Imma have to watch this like 3 times to fully understand everything you’re claiming but its very very well done!!
Your theories are always fantastic. Very well put-together and interesting. I can understand people not agreeing with everything, but I will never understand people who leave harmful and disrespectful feedback regarding them. Good job here. You connected a lot of dots and made me think about the series in a fresh way again.
if cassie says her father was a faz-technician and she also replies to him in the past tense implying he's dead could he had worked with henry to build the mimic and was killed by afton to cut loose ends?
So happy Scott exited 'retirement' for a moment to visit you. Seems deserved. You are a good influence on the fandom. I'm also happy Scott feels safe to interact with the fandom again, if only a bit. How the fanbase mutinied multiple times was really sad. I will have another post about lore points. I don't know how I feel about the Mimic yet, I just can't take it seriously. It doesn't have a motive, it isn't really 'sentient'. It doesn't have a grand plan. It just isn't scary to me at all. I agree with most of your points for sure. I know that is where the story is going... I just hope it gets spicier and not more absurd.
This is an absolutely amazing theory, and i really enjoyed watching. That said there are a few things that dont quite make sense. 1. I have a hard time believing that the burntrap/blob ending never happened, as steel wool literally put the blob in ruin. 2. The locations dont quite add up. Somehow, this is saying that the room the mimic was trapped in was connected to sister location, which, alone isnt an issue. But that means that security breach, sister location, fnaf 6, the original diner, and the afton house have all been in the exact same vicinity? That doesnt feel right to me. That said, i still think this theory is absolutely amazing, and i loved every bit of it.
FuhNaff. Please see this please! Ok so with Help Wanted 2 out, I would like to say that in Help Wanted 2 there is a lot of relationship towards the Fall Fest. In the Fall Fest, (We’ll use the Fazerblast mini games) it burns to the ground. There is also a poster of the Fall Fest you can get, and there is a lot of speculation of Circus Baby coming from the Fall Fest. As for the costumes, those were used in the Fall Fest. Need more proof? The devs even confirmed they would make a game focusing on the origins of Fnaf, and the Fall Fest must be it, not Fredbear’s Family Diner. I think you could work a theory from there. Thank you for reading🥰
This is such a great and well thought out theory! I love the different approach to the lore as well, it really gets you thinking about everything we've seen before. Well done my guy.👏🏻

I absolutely loved this theory. When watching any theory video, the back of my mind is usually trying to see if there are any contradictions with the lore or if it can fit cleanly and I'm happy to say my brain couldn't find any within the duration of the video. It also gets me excited because I love the Silver Eyes trilogy despite what many others say about it, and with the recent revelations about FNAF World and Ruin's mechanics and story, one of my favorite FNAF games could be soon relevant again. I haven't been this excited for FNAF in a long time, and the 3 projects announced a couple months ago really started getting me excited again and it's just kept going.
@@Anvekeen FNAF World had something called a mimic ball that would copy your attacks and use them again to help you. Ruin had the AR world with the mask and FNAF World had virtua-Freddy. FNAF World had sub tunnels through glitched objects that could teleport you elsewhere to progress, just like in Ruin. There's more similarities in sure, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head
A lot of things with the Mimic honestly parallels so many other things that at least half of what is in the video had to have been deliberate by Scott and Steel Wool. This theory is absolutely plausible and very likely to be factual.
The attention to every detail is amazing. And although the video's editing is a little rudimentary, I feel like this style helps us keep up with the theory without getting sidetracked. Super well done and well thought out, and I'm completely sold on the theory, too.
Also…..if you remember everything that happens in the fourth closet, “The Charlie” at the end of the twisted ones not being Charlie, Some kids going missing and Charlie’s friends investigate To find them and etc……If this theory is true………I think we can predict what will happen in the next installment after RUIN.
I actually really like this theory since it helps reconcile the novels with the games, since so few people read the books. Now, people only familiar with the games (like me) can kinda get the whole experience!
John, this is amazing. Hands down your best theory yet. I've been watching you since before 100k subscribers and it has been such a joy to watch you and your content grow. Great job!
This is a good theory, but I feel like Baby being part of Ennard is being ignored here. Between SL and FNAF 6, there was a conversation between the Funtimes in Ennard and Baby on the fnaf site and fnaf world site where Baby ended up being kicked out and turned herself into Scrap Baby This really doesn't align with her being the mimic. I can understand you may have forgotten about this, but if you haven't, how could The Mimic be inside Baby while all of that happened?
Can’t wait to see MatPat’s reaction to this. This theory is amazing

Kinda Shitty To Make A Video John Worked Hard On About MatPat
You know you've made it in the fnaf community when Scott himself graces you with his presence
I just realized, the random message you can get early in Security Breach that just says "fire dave, he sucks," could actually imply the Silver Eyes Trilogy parallel since that is the name William uses when pretending to be an employee in the books.
he said that in the first security breach video i think
I think that note ties to how easy it became to get people fired at that point. Theres another that mentions an incodent involving chicken alfredo, mentioning how a bunch of people were being fired for dumb reasons. Vanessa is shown writing fake reports, but there is also maybe Gregory in play, but someome knew it was easy to get the system to terminate people via a complaint
The fact Scott joined John's stream shows he cares about FNAF community

If John gets the rights to write a FNAF book, he can single handily make this fun but sloppy story actually consistent.

"Need more proof" is a sentence that brings me so much joy. Amazing theory, John!!! Can't wait for more!
It's the "that's just a theory" of FuhNaff and I love it
A fantastic theory, one that almost seems to line up too well.
(Again, might be overly thinking collectible mechanics, but this is FNAF)
If the Afton ending never happened, it feels weird that "Gregory" would draw a picture of a decayed Afton and the Blob.
Yeah, I agree

I second this, I feel so dumb for not seeing the connections Havinf read the books XD Great work John!! You're one of the brightest and most observant minds of our theorist generation
Well most probably read them as the novel version, and not the graphic novel version which changed a few things to fit the newer lore
The mimic was the box with two locks on it from all those years ago. Mimics are also famously fake treasure chests in pop culture
anyone else remember when FNAF was a creepy Chuck-E-Cheese style horror game with a few small lore implications? Props to you, John, for working so hard to solve of all this and have it actually make a ton of sense, because my brain is officially broken at this point.
Yeah, I low-key miss the simpler times, before Scott picked up a fascination with sci-fi and alternate reality shit. I really miss when the series was about potentially haunted animatronics.

Not counting the mentions of Help Wanted 2 (because in the end it didn't end up being as described in this video), everything else fits perfectly.

Ikr
Then again, not everything will be an exact parallel to the books. As Scott said, the books is an AU so some things in the games could be completely different from the books.
Holy crap your right
@@Glitchberrytrue, but the concrete door and Wolf being behind it and then getting attacked by foxy (parallel to Roxy saving Cassie) is what sold it to me, this theory is probably my favourite out of the bunch so far as it doesn’t force burntrap to be mimic (he’s clearly Afton) it will likely wrap up the franchise is a good way with William being killed by whatever his creation will be in help wanted 2 (if that does happen) and Charlie mimic finally moving on, with Vanessa, Gregory, Freddy and Cassie having a happy ending.
bro wrote a full essay lol
I’m beyond grateful that Scott still interacts with us as much as he does. He’s the best :)

Your mention of the parallels to the TSE trilogy in the stream made me go on a lore hunt of my own through the books. Yeah this theory hits so hard like and hopefully at some point most of jhons theories could be cannot when Scott finally breaks!
They grow so fast 😭
I agree, this was very well done. He put a lot of effort into it.
This guy is probably the greatest FNAF theorist on youtube, even giving Mat Pat a run for his theories.
Imo what makes someone the greatest theorist or whatever is there presentation and clarity over what their theory is. FuhNaff has had a couple of dud videos in the past and often times just doesn’t elaborate on connections he makes, he just assumes we’re all following along.

@@deathmauler181 Nah. I've never been high in my life
I remember thinking about the similarities between the silver eyes and SB before, and you're right about the relationship between the twisted ones and ruin.
I could see Scott doing as John theorizes to make specific parts canon and/or to highlight a part/idea people have missed
they are grabbing inspiration from the books but taking it in their own direction, i dont think you can use the books as the be all end all but they are definetly taking ideas like the mimic
Same I usually enjoy the theories but think the conclusions are too wild -- but this one is just TOO accurate. He did such a good job!
Good stuff man. The points you make and the connections you draw from are way better presented here than in your earlier videos. You’ve always had fresh ideas, it just felt like you would get a bit lost in the sauce and it would be hard to follow you.
But yeah this is really good, keep it up.
Do you think we can kind’ve predict what will happen in HW2 and how it will end…..if reading the fourth closet.
I love John’s theories so much! He always manages to find a unique way to explore unanswered corners of the fnaf lore. Keep up the good work bro 👍
You, sir, have grown significantly in theory crafting, and this one is just a treat to watch. Thank you very much!

Well yeah, it's what theorists do.
@@_V.Va_ but not all of them are good at it
@@shadow-wolf9015Wait what are you talking about something being proven wrong? And what do you mean the mimic couldn't have been used to build Baby? It does can be very old
i am certain the books were foreshadowing future games and dlc (security breach, ruin, and help wanted 2) and I didnt realize it at first. this completely changed my mind on how i look at security breach, ruin, and soon (maybe) help wanted 2
Great theory! As soon as I saw the glowing mushrooms in the cave, I insantly thought of the Twisted Ones and all of the potential lore implications. I'm really down with the book-parallel direction the series appears to be going in :)
Hi Johny I'm a subscriber how are you
SO DID I!!!!! I saw the waterfall and I just instantly went “oh no”
fire vid per usual
one question tho that's probably obvious - how do u know that Fredbears' is the room connected to Baby's area from SL? did that get confirmed a long time ago & I forgot
you still got the angry birds space mural bro?
the moment when you see other youtubers in another youtuber's comment section
@@ianmorr222 It'd mean that Fnaf 4, SL, and security all take place within or above the exact same location.
When i first saw ruin and saw the waterfall, I Immediately got excited about how it parallels the books so well.
Oh boy, another FuhNaff theory. Let’s hope it doesn’t set the community on fire. Also, it’s super cool that Scott popped in his stream.
Maybe the mascots in the scooper ending were from when fredbear’s was open. Or maybe even before.
Then who was the bad guy?
Actually those animatronics were supposed to be in the place of candy cadet not the mimic room
what's the reason for the forklift still being smashed through the concrete, then?
"The Three Afton Children" on the Hill Other endings are Alternative parallels What if?
Which was created by Pation 46 = GGY = Robotic Master Hacker = Gregory in comic form.
M.X.E.S. {Techno Rabbit} It's badass . I like him and can't wait to get Help Wanted 2 and maybe Stell Woll finally makes a FredBear's Family Dinner game.
Maybe Funtime Servise remaster in Security Breatch style it will be good continue in future. 😉💙😊💜🤩
That's actually not a bad theory.
I never knew there were similariites to the books.
I would defo never have thought that the first books would ever be important lol
@@zmugzoid Maybe the similarties from Security breach and the books are just coincidence maybe?
@@HAZAHMASTER it's possible, but it's weird that the parallels between them are so much, i can have more than two nickel everytime i hear a parallel between games and books
at this point in the series, it feels like a book and movie series; where the games are film adaptions and the books provide the original/full story.
To be fair, Princess Quest is and always was the only three-star ending to the game. I had a hunch that it was the right one from a lore standpoint.
Nice to see you and your theories being recognized and appreciated by Scott himself! You earned it, keep up these amazing theories!
Nice to see Scott is still paying attention to his community. Even in retirement he still loves is all
His 'retirement' never really fully happened.
Im sure its not 100% accurate and/or has its own issues but I like this one a whole of alot better
Also the mimic's face strutcture ad features seems to match baby's as well!
Holy shit. This theory is insane but probably one of the most well thought out and realistic theories yet
I love that FuhNaff's theories start to make more and more sense every time he posts a new one.
I have an idea for what happened to Cassie’s Dad :)
In Security Breach, there is a technician or maintenance man (Can’t remember which one) that was getting a little bit too suspicious of the Princess Quest cabinets.
And that's why henry commits su*cide in fnaf world because he created the mimic and afton used it in baby
Your theories are always fantastic. Very well put-together and interesting. I can understand people not agreeing with everything, but I will never understand people who leave harmful and disrespectful feedback regarding them. Good job here. You connected a lot of dots and made me think about the series in a fresh way again.
I’ve been waiting for this video! Your videos are always so informative but so fun at the same time!
if cassie says her father was a faz-technician and she also replies to him in the past tense implying he's dead could he had worked with henry to build the mimic and was killed by afton to cut loose ends?
This is definitely my favorite FuhNaff theory so far. It's very solid and easy to follow, makes a lot of sense
“See you at the Circus” as the ending line of this in conjunction with Tom’s “Game Theory: FNAF, The Circus Of HORRORS!” is really chilling ngl
Well done my guy.👏🏻
i love this theory just thinking about that this games follow the same line of events as in the books is blowing my mind and im so grateful that scott still interacts with us as much as he does. He is really a great guy :)
When he said "you know what else feels intentional" for a second I thought he was going to say " This word from our sponsor raid shadow legends"😂
Been watching too much LTT expecting the hard left turn segways
Can I ask, what revelations about FNAF world?
Also…..if you remember everything that happens in the fourth closet, “The Charlie” at the end of the twisted ones not being Charlie, Some kids going missing and Charlie’s friends investigate
To find them and etc……If this theory is true………I think we can predict what will happen in the next installment after RUIN.
Great job!
Fuhnaff pioneered the new age fnaf theory’s and was one of the first people to help make security breach solvable.
RyeToast and John gotta be the best theory duo right now, loved this theory ❤
This is a good theory, but I feel like Baby being part of Ennard is being ignored here.
Between SL and FNAF 6, there was a conversation between the Funtimes in Ennard and Baby on the fnaf site and fnaf world site where Baby ended up being kicked out and turned herself into Scrap Baby
This really doesn't align with her being the mimic. I can understand you may have forgotten about this, but if you haven't, how could The Mimic be inside Baby while all of that happened?
