I have a 2010 high-end fullHD panasonic plasma. Still working like new, fantastic image. I'm never gonna get rid of it, my grandkids will probably watch cartoons in this TV, it just refuses to die. hahaha
Although I have some very good, recent model DMMs, including Flukes, I'm very envious of your Fluke 12! Been looking for a long time on ebay but have yet to find one in mint condition.
I miss my Fluke 12 that was stolen, even though it only went up to about 600vDC, you hardly ever needed to measure more than that, and it would go into overload if there was more than 600vDC anyway, so you would know the focus voltage would then be there on the CRT sets back then. I got the Fluke 12 because it could also read caps, where as my Fluke 77 could not measure caps, and I didn't want to carry a cap tester and the Fluke 77, so I got the Fluke 12. Also have yet to find another Fluke 12 to buy second hand
Start charging storage, and then after three months of been repaired it is sold to defray expenses if not collected by three months .. That's what many repair shops do that have signs up, or make customers sign before they leave their TVs with you so they know the terms of leaving it with you ..
Maybe if you politely mentioned after notifying the customers that their tv's were fixed that they had 7 days to collect them or they would be donated to good causes they would be round like a shot.
It stands for British Acadamy of Film and Television Arts. He was implying that he should get an award for his impressive (sarcasm) camera skills. Not as easy as it seems while working on live equipment 😅
Please don't feel sorry. How else do we learn? I used to have it hammered into me at school "if you don't know something, ALWAYS ask. Never be afraid. There will equally always be someone else who doesn't know but was too afraid to ask, so you will be probably be helping others as well as yourself".
Thanks guys, that makes sense. As a foreign English speaker, it never would have crossed my mind it was about an acronym, but now I can appreciate the man's sarcasm even more. Good job, thanks.
3 months is way long enough. I only give 30 days on the work done, as we are dealing with second hand items, and who knows what might come down the mains supply and spike the power supply or something else and what customers get up to with their items ..
Great bit of fault finding and repair Allen, nice and straight forward.

Brian 👍👏🏴👍👏🏴
Thanks for doing these videos Allen, I love fixing stuff but know absolutely nothing about TV's... I'm learning lots from these!
Thanks for the video. Customers are often more pain in than a than Tv`s with problems. 😀
By far it was the customers that made TV repair way harder than it needed to be, deal with the demanding ones was an art that took years to 😮perfect
next time keep ya sht comments to yourself bell end.!

Can't belief you give one to two year warranties on second hand tv's, especially when you don't get a warranty on the boards ..
Samsung's customer services are also absolutely awful.
Sorry for the noob question, but what is that "bafter" you mention there? 7:17

@@Mark_C1 Thanks .. I knew it was an award, just didn't know it was actually an Acronym
@Tutterzoid you're very welcome 👍

Wow you give a 1 or 2 year guarantee on repairs?! - that's insane, 3 months is what I'd expect.

I don't know who makes Panasonic TVs now, I bought a new one recently and it's rubbish. I always had Panasonics and they were brilliant.
Cheaper Panasonic's are made by Vestel, better more expensive Panasonic's like OLEDS are still made by Panasonic
Also the 9 series LCDs are still by Panasonic but assembled by a major Chinese brand now (not a quality problem). @@jamesm90
Are you sure about that?
