I’m wondering the same thing.
I believe it’s using the backleg getting that hip rotation into the pitch at or after the landing.
It’s less about pushing forward and more about pushing down through the mound while riding down the mound and then rotating the hip while keeping the torso back to create the proper hip shoulder separation.
Hey man great mechanics but as a pitcher you want to work on trying to close in that shoulder just a little longer but everything else perfect

It's more about preference pedro Martinez threw close finger grip but most pitchers throw open finger grips on their 4 seam
He doesn't look like hes trying to pitch he needs to dip down way more
I'd probably be doing the same thing if I had a strap connecting my leg to my hip
