Benny87654321 I could be wrong, but you know how there are bulbs that mimic sunlight? To keep you more productive and feel alert and awake? I think Volvo was trying to do that with driving because at night on a dead highway that isn’t lit up with street lights, you can drift off into space and with those lights being brighter I think it was to try and avoid that for their drivers. Or for the people that have to get up before sunrise for work and have to take the highway, unfortunately some people want to get that little extra sleep in so they will drive to work while their body is still waking up.
@@kobe7905 blue light usually doesn't project as well as white light. this is evident when (rarely) people put for example 10000k HID (blue) headlights on their cars. it looks nice but at higher speeds you would most likely want better visibility.

This is a great car! I'm not going to bash the engine because for what it is, it is an excellent powertrain but I could only imagine what this car could have been if it had a Twin-Turbo V6, or even better yet, a V8!
Why stop there? Why not a V10, or even a V12??
I would've liked it if they kept the b6304t4 engine, I got one of those in my 2014 V60 and the power is amazing but sadly fuel economy has become more important than performance so I understand why they are replaced 😔

That transmission doesn't sound too smooth. Sounds harsh. Honda and their 2.0T is buttery smooth. Or maybe I'm hearing too much air intake induction?

Those headlights are poor with uneven light and lousy range.
Just opposite. In the video you see what and how it is recorded. In reality Volvo has one of the best light in the business. Search it,
Volvo has multiple models of LED headlights and they score pretty average notes. Glare is always pretty high, low beam range is always pretty low which is bad. And expected given the fact that there's almost no cut-off line. Insted there's a smoooth transition between lighr and dark.That means that the most intensive part of the beam (the one where light has the most punch to go far) is lower and that reduces the effective range.
For example the XC60 got only acceptable rating by IIHS even though it has the newest LEDs, more - they're mounted pretty high. Even though low beam created some glare, road illumination was far from great because of the limited range. That's the main issue with many LEDs, not only the ones from Volvo.
@@sic22l So all of this possibly made them not the best but never poor!
And, in practice people just prize them.
I like everything about this car except the back.....
