I recommend hiring an estate sale company if you’re overwhelmed with stuff and need to organize. They sell everything you don’t want, donate what they can’t sell, and split the money with the owners.
We’re in the purging process now. It’s crazy how much stuff you accumulate over 12 years in NC. Definitely donating heavy coats and almost all of our furniture. Looking forward to moving in the next few months. Thanks for the tips!!
We are in the middle of decluttering and it is tough! Also, we're going to be renting a house in Florida first until we sell our current house. Then, fingers crossed we can actually find a house we love that won't wreck us financially lol. We're looking to get a little bit of a bigger house than we have now but my goodness I will miss my big attic a lot haha. Thanks for the tips! 😊
Thank you for making your moving videos. It is helping us a lot as we prepare to move in the next year! Really liked the Shutterfly book idea for kids projects. We are starting the purging process.
Great vlog! Even if you are not moving! I'm in Spring cleaning mode and also going through tons of sentimental "junk." The shutterfly book is an awesome idea!! Thanks for sharing these helpful tips!! 😄 ❤️
We moved a couple of years ago not out of state though. We definitely moved alot of stuff but had the opposite situation we have more storage now due to having a larger basement. I agree though with the advice of getting rid of stuff you haven't used in 6 months. Although our boys are going on a bus trip with their highschool band down to Walt Disney World and our son wanted to take some of their old Disney movies for the trip. Fortunately we kept them when we moved.
@@GunnarsGames 2 of them are show cars and I want them shipped enclosed. I have a mover coming over tomorrow to look at moving my stuff including my cars United Van Lines a huge company.
Love your videos! Been watching for a year now when we made the decision to move to Florida last April. It’s been such a fun and crazy journey for us and to watch your experiences as well. We ended up in Tampa area. Haven’t made it to Disney yet but hope to see you at Universal! -0~0- Really loving the restaurant reviews too! Thanks for all you do
Thank you so much for what you do! Your series has provided great insights for consideration as we make the move ourselves! We just sold in Michigan and will be renting in Clermont till a new build is ready next year (working with Ken’s team)!
Not gonna lie, I was feeling a little called out when you mentioned the old paint cans and boxes of kids' artwork. 😅 You mean I don't need that lopsided clay cup that doesn't actually hold any liquid?! 🤣
@@AddictedtotheMouse yeah - but it also has to do with new construction methods, engineered trusses and span spacing between the trusses in the structure. You really shouldn't hang ceiling racks from them either if they are true attic trusses (garages with a 2nd floor over top should be OK though). The trusses can sag from the hanging static weight.

Good idea
We plan on having a few yard sales and what we don’t sell is getting donated or thrown out. Most of the stuff is my wife’s lol 😂

We had sooooo much stuff in our attic in OK! It was tough getting rid of all of it but it was also freeing and felt great when it was over
@@AddictedtotheMouse I am looking forward to getting to the feeling free and great part haha. Thanks so much! ❤️
Our closing date is April 22nd! I’ve loved watching these videos to get ready 👍🏻🌴☀️
I have definitely enjoyed this playlist. Thank you for sharing ❤
Great tips!! I better start now for a possible move in 3-5 years. 😬
🤣🤣

Awesome! Congratulations on the move and good luck on the purging

Absolutely! I loved that idea as well. Great way to keep the memories without lots of boxes

Lol, yeah if you move to a place where you have a larger basement, you definitely have more options
@@AddictedtotheMouse Definitely but I'd gladly give it all up to move down to Florida!
Good tips!
Can’t wait to move there next year but I do admit moving all this stuff plus 5 cars is going to be stressful 😂
Holy cow, 5 cars?? Yeah, moving is the worst part, but once you’re here…
@@AddictedtotheMouse I had 8 cars. My current house has a 7 car garage. I sold 3 cars and I’m selling one more in a few weeks.
Get some friends or family and plan a road trip to Florida with some one-way tickets back, probably less expensive than hiring a car moving service.

Thanks for those wonderful tips. We are purging now for a move to Florida in a month. So needed to hear all of your suggestions😉
Good luck!!!
great content, thank you!

when Hurricane comes, come back to Oklahoma and hide from Tornado. We have basements. :)

Are Cabbage Patch Kids exempt?! 😜
Absolutely not 🙅♂️😂
The cruelty 😂😂
I think the lack of attics are because of the heat.
But why?
@@AddictedtotheMouse The stuff melts. Like literally melts.
Attics are too hot...that's why!
Lol, they’re hot in OK too, but everyone has one.
