Some people don’t even know what is that and other don’t bother using it, people don’t realize how comfortable is the privilege of having your vehicle equipped with such systems, particularly if you have leather seats and is summer time !
@BrianSFPV Feel free to send over some photos of your seats to sales@leatherseats.com or text them to 405-848-9999 and we can see if the integration would be an option for your seats. 👍
We have plenty of customers integrate this unit into their classic builds. When having your new seat covers made, be sure they have perforated inserts with a mesh backing foam to allow the air from the system to blow through your new upholstery.
That would be an awesome upgrade in a kei truck! This system is semi-universal, so as long as you have 12v power and upholster the seat to have perforated inserts with mesh backing foam, the system will work! Feel free to give one of our team members a call at 866-NEW-SEAT to discuss your project.
Is there anyway to use this system in 80s trucks with bench seats? I'm currently having a 86 gmc sierra 1500 get restored and plan on getting new seats for it.
These units are certainly a popular choice for resto-mod builds! Yes, it is possible to install these units in bench seats, as long as the new upholstery installed has perforated inserts with a reticulated (mesh) backing foam to allow the heated or cooled air to blow through the upholstery to your body. The only time these units can not be installed on a vehicle is if there is a surface-mounted occupancy sensor on a more modern application, or if there is not enough physical space to mount the system's components.
Yes, this can be installed on a 2023 Camry! It is a semi-universal system, so it will require some fabrication like shown in our other installation videos.
The ventilation unit TED device uses two semiconductors separated by two junctions to exhaust the heat created by the device through one junction and the cool air through another (called the Peltier effect), depending on what setting the unit is on (heat or cool). In theory, when installed properly the unit can run indefinitely without overheating.

I would love to have ventilated seats in my S2000 but I doubt there's enough room to mount all the components.

That would be an awesome upgrade in a 1st gen 4Runner!
Would this system possibly compromise the comfortability of the seat?
23' Kia Sportage Hybrid
This system improves seat comfort with its heating and cooling without compromising comfortability of the seat.
