I bought these brackets 4 years ago. I had a heavy old flat screen tv on a wall bracket fixed to a plasterboard wall. These brackets didn't let me down. Absolutely spot on. When I took the TV down I just tightened then screws right up so the plug sunk into the plaster board filled over the top and painted.. can't tell they where ever there. No big hole to repair
Hi there, did you have to secure these plugs into the studs or where these able to hold your heavy tv purely just by using the fixings and the plaster board.
I would never risk a big tv using these on plasterboard, i would rather make a cutting and put a thick plywood at the back and then secure the bracket, sooner or later, the plasterboard would give in.
Ultimate handyman did a video of a shelve using four fixings for Geefix. He then did the exact same test using Bullfix Extra plasterboard fixings. Bullfix plasterboard beat Geefix by around 18 kg in a real application yet are much smaller, easier to install and less than half the price . So Bullfix plasterboard fixings are the strongest plasterboard fixing on the market in real life applications. Do you use the centre screw with a washer or is it a screw that came with wall bracket to mount it.
I think these could take off if the price was a little more reasonable. There's a lot of profit on each sale
