I know you went over basics but something I'd like to point out. If someone is new to Jobber and came from another CRM, they might want to start the quote number consecutively from previous CRM. In case they want to keep track of them by number. By default, it begins at #1 but it can easily be changed and it will roll up from that number entered. Good video!! Not many have actually walk through a software on TH-cam like you're doing.
Hello Matt, in Episode 1 of this series I covered this topic when I start talking about creating quotes. th-cam.com/video/JSab2Tw9B5U/w-d-xo.html. Thank you for tuning in. This will be an on-going series that will cover many aspects of Jobber. Episodes 3 & 4 are already filmed.
Sitting down to begin learning jobber/responsibid. Appreciate you taking the time to setup these tutorials. Looking forward to seeing how scheduling works from a customers point of view. A friend has been using customer factor, coupled with responsibid. He's run into scheduling issues, where as the software doesn't seem to couple in an efficient manner. Thanks, again, Mitchell!
hey there!! There are many topics planned. Stay tuned to the series and that subject will certainly be covered. I wanted to start the series off with the basics of getting started with the software. Thanks for tuning in !!
Thank you so much for your opinion and tutorial content! I believe I'm sold on Jobber. On a side note who did your beautiful company name logo preview video/intro?

Does anyone know if you can do two separate companies through one application? I see you can set up different "services" but I have multiple small businesses that I would like to link together in one application if possible.
Hi Mitchell i’m thinking of using Jobber & quickBooks for a new Business I would like to ask you whether you can attach a waiver form to a new client to sign on the jobber app before you accept the job
hello, I don't believe that's doable with the app, but on your desktop you can attach files to a quote or invoice. Don't hesitate to reach out to Jobber's customer service team as well, they're great!
I really appreciate this video. However, I was trying to find out if we could do pricing by square foot and I didn't see anything in this video that led me to believe it was possible. Please correct me if I am wrong or if you have any suggestions. For reference, we are a glass and mirror shop. We install customer windows, shower doors and enclosures, mirrors, etc. and we also cut custom pieces of plate glass and mirrors for customers to pick up. The prices depend first on the item (i.e., mirror, SSB, DSB, 1/4", etc.). Then, it depends on the square foot. For example, let's say a customer orders 2 pieces of SSB (single strength) plate glass and let's pretend the dimensions are different. One of them needs to be 13 1/8" x 10 3/4" and the other needs to 21 1/2" x 20 3/4". What I have to do currently is round each number up to the nearest even number. So, it would be 14" x 12" and 22" x 22". Then, I have to get the square foot of each. So it would be a piece that is 1.67 sq. ft. and one that is 3.36 sq ft. Finally, I have to know what we charge per square foot for SSB (let's pretend it's a dollar and a half [$1.50] per sq. ft. The price for the first one is $2.51 and the price for the second one is $5.04. Do you have any idea if Jobber can accommodate this kind of pricing or maybe think of a workaround?
When set up your Product/Service defaults in Settings you can type a statement/description of said product or service that will automatically generate on a Quote or Invoice. You can only add one price per Product/Service. If I did not answer your question I am sorry. If not, contact Jobber Customer Service.
Hi, can you set up a service to charge by the sqft.? that sqft price could calculate off of a custom field number that is set up for turf sqft. Can you make a video of the client communication section in the settings? Can you have preset documents? I'm using Sa now but the system is a bit outdated and I don't like the format of the new version they have been working on for the last three years or so which they aren't even close to completion.
In the custom fields section when you create a service or product you can have it calculate however you wish. If setting up by the square foot you would just need to have that set price per 1 sqft or 1000 sqft (however you choose) and then when quoting your job it will calculate based on how you set up that service. I have some other videos in the works and will try and touch base on the Client Hub a little more. What do you mean by preset documents?
@@mithgo_outdoor The one thing that I really like with SA is the rate matrix. You can set your rate, say for example 1,000 to 5,000sqft is x amount and then for every 1,000 over is x amount and also works off custom fields. Can you customize documents? I don't know if jobber has documents already made or can I make my own? I noticed in your video the templates tab in the client portal, interested in that too. Good job on the jobber videos. I look forward to your next one. thank you
th-cam.com/video/bubpa3TxhUg/w-d-xo.html. This is ep 4 where I talked about recurring jobs. Fast forward to 5.3 minutes in the video and I start talking about fixed pricing. This allows you to set a fixed price for the specific customer. You can also create a list of Products/Services for that client with specific pricing.
How do you do that? I Been trying, but I don’t seem to get it. To create the products/services for that client with specific pricing, so when I create a job/invoice and when I click on the line item that price will appear.
If you're referring to a "Package Service" then it would be determined how you set up the service default. The defaults are for individual products and services, however, it's up to you what you put in the description. You could setup a Service A and in the description list what is included. Same for Service B, C and so on.

@@mithgo_outdoor Thanks for responding so quickly! If I were to 'CLOSE JOB' would the software consider it as completed? I would like to keep the quote for my records but don't want to notify the system that I have done the work either.
