Nice job on the 1857 H10C. Whizzed and scratched? WTF. Okay coin two sucks. Looks like a loss on coin three too at least you got the coin for free. Ooof…. Coin four blows. The 1820 is decent. At least you’re not losing too too much. Haha. Columbia’s expo’s a kick into the balls. Barber details? Ooof! And the hits keep on coming. And coming. And coming. Lol. The best lessons in life are the ones you learn the hard way. Finally a MS! Score! Great video bro. Aargh.
Yes, a big learning experience without a doubt! But it all feels a little better that at least the pricing was cheap and service was great. I actually think i'll probably use them again in the future! Thanks for watching!
not bad and I think they are still some nice coins! excited to see the next. I don't mind some of the cleaned coins, still silver and a cool piece of history for sure!
Great learning on the ICG and for people thinking about submitting them. its all an education and the more you know the more you will make down the road... it is always an advantage to know something going in then just buying bullion and sitting back because you can sit for years waiting for bullion but when it comes to numismatics it does take knowledge and why not God gave us all a way to figure out values and learn to make more in life.
Exactly... that is exactly why i got into numismatics... it continues to keep rising in value, meanwhile my silver and gold stack just sits and goes up and down like the ocean. Happy to jump in and learn numismatics and having fun doing so!
Very cool you got your first submissions back! Sending coins in to be graded can always be a crap shoot, no matter the company. Can’t wait to see the next batch you get back🏴☠️
Yeah, I did actually find this a cool video. Still reinforces why I do go this route, but for those that find this process cool, I think it's a good teaching video. So many people are in this position of stepping into this area with very little knowledge. These kinds of videos will be really helpful to those who are just starting out. Good stuff! Keep Stacking!
Yes, a good experience for sure. I learned a lot. And at least have some coins i can now compare other coins too. I think i will at some point use ICG again, great service and price anyway!
Nice to see the results. Unfortunate that many came back with issues. But like you said, a learning experience. Fun to watch and now you have some slabbed coins. That Centavos coin is nice
Hi I have to say, ICG grade is better than PCGS, ICG still gives a grade to scratch coins worse than PCGS, not gradable for scratch coin!! PCGS damaged my coin and did not give any grade!!?? I'm very disappointed with my first submission!!?
I was also pretty disapointed in PCGS. So expensive and bad service too! I also dislike that PCGS & NGC don't give a grade on "details" coins, that's lousy. But Anacs & ICG both will still give a grade. Thanks for watching!
No subscription... $100 for 10 US coins is the current promotion. Just a $25 shipping & insurance fee = $125 out the door... The other sites also charge a shady "handling fee"... Not ICG!
The issue is that it's a $60 coin in a pcgs holder... Not worth any resubmitting really, doubtful i'd get $30 - $40 more for it in a pcgs holder than what it currently is being that cheap. It's a nice coin though!
My takeaway is ICG is great for a lot of coins just not up for submission to the big guys, but are worth having an expert look at em. Who knows, maybe you submit coins to ICG and you get a straight on a sketchy coin and you can now submit for crossover… Good video and information Pirate
I mean technically if icg straight graded something that shouldn't have been, i think pcgs or ngc would catch that... But I do like confirmation of coin values and them securing the validity of the coin itself. At the $10 price point, i think there's value there...
ICG is a good option for inexpensive coins but trade at a huge discount from PCGS/NGC in the real life market....just understand this before buying these coins
I think it was cool and if you hang on to the coins that cost you more maybe in the future they will break even or make money they don't make these coins anymore so you have that going for you. But over all I think it was worth trying them out.
Totally a worthwhile experience In my mind. And holding on those "losers" i'm sure would be smart as at some point in time they'll break even or even be profitable... fun stuff!
Wow thats the quick turnaround time. I might just submit to them to see if some straight grade and if they do i'll crack em out and have em graded by PCGS, haha. Great learning experience for sure.
ICG is great. They are hard on their grading and do a great job overall. Randy is their head grader and sits on the board of directors for the ANA. I think they are actually getting harder as well since the last few years they get a bad rap. They are really good for modern coins. They are also great for validating and protecting your coins. Were you at the Collectorama? I usually go to that one twice per year. I was not impressed at the one this summer… It has been great for years. Ill probably give it one more shot in the January show. It is usually a week or two before the FUN show. Cheers!
So i feel like both ANACS & ICG may actually be grading harder than PCGS now, trying to build back their reputation maybe? I've found they haven't let anything slide! I didn't go to Fun Show this summer, i didn't want to have to fill out my personal info to enter in. We'll see if I make it in the spring or not. Thanks for watching!
Wow that was fast. Looking forward to the reveal.
12 Days, smokin' fast!
Hey my friend we all learnt from your video. For that I thankyou very much.
Yes, gotta be in it to learn it right?! Overall a very good experience with ICG honestly...
Cool!! You didn’t do to bad. Thanks for sharing Pirate👍
Not too bad, not too good... A good experience either way!
Awesome lessons. Great class. Thanks.
Yeah this went well, thanks!
Very cool, the results are good.
Not great, but value locked in and lots learned, that's a positive!
Lovely preserved coins … nothing wrong With ICG .I Brough a
1880 s DMPL from ICG from eBay!
Beautiful coin couldn’t be happier!
Yeah it was a good experience... i'm not complaining honestly... Learned a lot, I'm sure I'll use them again...
Awesome video, thanks for sharing, I learned a lot!
Learning a lot here too my friend! Thanks!
I think that is a great experience and learning opportunity for you and a lot of us. Thank you!
Yeah this was positive... I'll probably submit again to these guys!
Never submitted anything thanks for the knowledge 🏴☠️
Yeah, pretty good experience overall... but learn what cleaned coins look like if you do!
The KM # is a category number from Krause and Mishler.
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
My entire collection is ICG graded; I like their 5-day service and they do a pretty good job grading older US coins.
Seriously, I'm quite impressed with them. Time frame & pricing is really unbeatable! Good experience for sure!

Interesting to see the whole process and results
Yeah, it was worth doing honestly... learned a lot just from this one submission...
Great video
Thank you for watching man!
I want to get better graded seated libertys than I have already. My first purchase was anything I could find for bout 20 bucks lol
I'd highly recommend buying already graded coins as so many of those old raw coins are cleaned, damaged etc...
Fastest Slab i have ever heard of
No doubt, the service was by far the best!
not bad and I think they are still some nice coins! excited to see the next. I don't mind some of the cleaned coins, still silver and a cool piece of history for sure!
Yeah, happy to have some preserved coins either way. They do look good in those slabs anyway!
Wow, that came back fast. Nice grade on that centavos. Important thing is that you're learning. We're all here to learn together.
Yeah we locked in a little value and learned a lot. Not too shabby!
@@PirateStacker not to slabby.

Yeah this was really exciting for sure! Learned a lot. Anac's just shipped, will have them in hand next week!!!

Yes, a whole mess of slabs! Good experience though, and now I know what I'm looking for!
Enjoyed the livestream!
Thanks for watching bro! Always appreciate ya!
Awesome video ! Have a Happy New Year 💥
Thanks bro, happy new year!
Hi
I have to say, ICG grade is better than PCGS, ICG still gives a grade to scratch coins worse than PCGS, not gradable for scratch coin!!
PCGS damaged my coin and did not give any grade!!??
I'm very disappointed with my first submission!!?

No subscription... $100 for 10 US coins is the current promotion. Just a $25 shipping & insurance fee = $125 out the door... The other sites also charge a shady "handling fee"... Not ICG!
I think I would try to cross over that Philippines coin to PCGS... or crack it out and send to NGC!
The issue is that it's a $60 coin in a pcgs holder... Not worth any resubmitting really, doubtful i'd get $30 - $40 more for it in a pcgs holder than what it currently is being that cheap. It's a nice coin though!
Adds some additional credibility to ICG
Yeah I mean, they're clearly not just approving everything!
My takeaway is ICG is great for a lot of coins just not up for submission to the big guys, but are worth having an expert look at em. Who knows, maybe you submit coins to ICG and you get a straight on a sketchy coin and you can now submit for crossover…

Fully agree, i think value wise, you're better paying for the ANACS coins if you're on a budget... Thanks for watching!
Wow
Right?! Pretty fast stuff!

Honestly, for as cheap as they are it's not a bad idea to try some coins of higher value out with ICG...
Kool good job👍
Thank you man, glad you like it!
Aaarrrrgggghhhhh maty
Arghhhh! Thanks for the straight grade dime dawg!
cool
It was pretty cool...
ICG is great for nominally priced ancients where you mostly want authentic verification. Even foreign.
Yes, they have a place for sure...
🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Thanks for watching bro!
Great turn around on the slabs. Not sure why ICG does not put the name of the coin on the slab. That's a bummer. Overall, a good leaning experience
Yeah, i suppose they could do things better, i'm sure they have a reason, but i don't know what it would be...

Good job mate!
Not bad you did good PS! At least these are verified and in slabbed !
Agreed, learned a lot, not out much... locked in a little value!
Pirate you've lost your way. Stacking is where it's at. Nobody else will level with you
Hahaha, thank you Steffen Steffen... Appreciate you setting me straight. But... I'm having way more fun than I ever did stacking!
@@PirateStacker that's what I was afraid of 👍
Is it a good idea to remove the packaging? I got one but I kinda want to take it off so i can judt have the coin
You don't gain anything by removing the case, but you can lose some... All depends. What is the coin?
@@PirateStacker it's a silver eagle so I'm not sure if I should remove it
I like ICG myself. Good graders in my opinion. But they don’t have good market acceptance.
Markets tough on them for sure...
🤙🤙✊️
Happy New Year!!!
Very cool !!! Do you have to get a yearly Subscription? Awesome video 🏴☠️
No yearly for ICG or Anacs... PCGS & NGC require a membership....
