    Good review. To be fare it isn't intended to be super accurate, its a very fast action driven game rifle. The price is at the low end compared with other fast, short throw or straight pull European driven game rifles. Its designed for the European driven game shooting market, which is snap shooting at close to medium range with fast follow up shots. I'd like one but, im not rich, ill stick to my Howa and Remington

    hey Ozzie, I have a question that's bugging me. I noticed your spread in projectile weights was pretty wide, but wouldn't the twist rate of the rifle have a big influence on the accuracy of the cartridge? so, if 130 grain is its thing, would it follow then, to test a range of bullets in that weight?

This was for 300 win. Suprising i couldnt get groups any better than 1.5 for 3 shots and would get worse. Even at 200 i was having regular misses. Single loaded it and would shoot better but not great. Their a turkey get a maral.

    Not cheap however the Aud is in very bad shape!...expect to pay big money in the comings weeks for all import.
    Others had better luck in the accuracy department with the VC specially with monolithic projectiles but it is not design to be a stalking rifle... It is for the battue style of hunting and chasing running animals where you have to take multiples shots at moving games very rarely past 100m where it excels (in EU the average distance for shooting game is 85/90 m) Operate way faster then strait pull, not to compare with bolt action. Usually 308 is not well regarded in Europe (it is not my view before insulting me ;) for hunting they go for bigger bore or faster like 300WM or 7RM (both chamber in this VC.
    Thank you for the video Ozzie!

    Dont see the point, even if you cant get a semi-auto.
    For a driven type hunt a BLR is not that much slower,
    A slick Bolt action or straight pull does great anyway IF you just practise
    This 1/4-auto still got the potential issues of a semi

    • @beardoggin8963
      @beardoggin8963 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah Bee well I agree that for the price it should be a lot more rifle. But the action does allow you to stay on the scope better than even a BLR does. A pump action would be the best option but i know they are a different category down under

      You have to break your grip to reach the lever on this thing anyway, and it is not as much of an awkward motion on a BLR

    • @beardoggin8963
      @beardoggin8963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah Bee you do. And I’m not trying to argue lol. But in my opinion when hunting and making a follow up shot staying on the stock and on the scope is more important than having to break your grip when cycling the action.

    Great review but this rifle makes me sad, neutered guns are just depressing, I would rather buy a 1885 high wall.

    Could there be a conversion for semis?????

      I mean if you converted it to a semi you'd have your guns taken off you and maybe serve time in prison

      Adding an air piston to a wfa1 would make more sense honestly

    I think you're being too fair. That kind of accuracy is just shit. Especially from a $3000 rifle and factory ammo. If you have to rely on reloads to get serviceable accuracy from a rifle it's no good.
    I don't think you can blame it on the 4x optic either. 4x is plenty for shooting accurately at 100m.

    I bought one. Value for money was not a consideration. Tack driving was also not a consideration. What is important for me shooting off hand from a motorcycle at close range is the speed of a follow up shot/reloading.
    This rifle makes all others (except semi-automatic) obsolete. Period

    You poor guys should not need rifles like this. Y’all should be allowed semiautomatic 100%. Reality fully automatic if you want.

    Great video as always but please lets not adopt the Americanism of saying price "point" every time we talk about the cost of something. Just say "price". That alone is easily understood. Americans can't talk about the price of something without saying "price point" for some reason... ???

    $3000 for a pretend semi-auto that can't shoot better than an old Winchester 30/30?

    A SEVEN pound PLASTIC rifle? Kinda crazy! Cool lever...gimmicky? Dare I say that? Knowing that your gun laws will probably inspire the madman/substitute drama teacher who is Canada’s Prime Minister, I should be more careful! I’m guessing that French isn’t taught in Australia? Myanmar is probably one of the closest countries to Oz that spoke French-I’m curious to know if they still speak French there? Probably NOT. Quite the spread on this rifle-to the magazine load part, which is the end.

    Typically french, style over substance.
