I love the concept of acne positivity. The media teaches us its gross/ unnatural. I've also suffered from acne, face and body. Watching hyrams videos has helped me reign it in and prevent things from getting out of control. Its still a battle...constant battle. People making you feel bad or insecure doesn't help, and honestly makes the situation worse. So thankyou, for overall being such a positive voice.

It was a psychological mess that led me to telling people they were cold sores instead of pimples. In a way I guess that's my acne horror story lol. It took me years to not feel like I had to apologise for my skin.

Sophie Katiee' it contains walnuts which can make micro tears in your face. you might not see it now but in a couple of years of using it your skin is going to be kinda ruined. same with the kylie skin walnut scrub
Helmut Brunner Its not a bad option, he has talked about it and says the ingredients are very basic and very thick so you won’t be getting many benefits but it does the trick for moisturizer!
I used CeraVe way before hyram recommended it and so did many others (although a lot of people did hop on the bandwagon because of hyram + tiktok hype) but they would not be nothing without him
I'd love to see you react to skin routines of dark skin men or women. I've been watching your videos for so long and want to incorporate your suggestions into my skin care routine. But also don't know how some products will be on darker skin (Like the products the "brighten or lighten dark spots). @@fairfight9857 Yeah of course! So the main issue with St Ives is that the granules in it that are used to exfoliate are really large and also uneven in size. Although the short term results may look nice (which is why a lot of people keep using it), it can lead to irritation and skin damage over time. This really brings into question the entire physical vs chemical exfoliant debate as a whole. Many physical exfoliants like St Ives, which use physical granules to exfoliate the skin, tend to have this same problem. St Ives is just one of the most clearly problematic. I personally would reccomend going for a chemical exfoliant in general. I really like the Lactic Acid from the Ordinary or the 2% BHA exfoliant from Paulas Choice. These are going to be a lot more gentle in exfoliating your skin than something like St Ives :))

If your new here’s some skincare knowledge! 1: We Stan the ordinary, the inky list, youth to the people,cerea VE,krave beauty, Paulas choice and curology. 2: We dislike Mario badescu, clean and clear, most of neutrogena products, most of tatcha products, kiley skin, pixi skin and many more 3: fragrance is a BIG no. It can can cause many problems like irritation, rashes, pimples, acne and many more 4: Mario badescu sprays are just fragrance in water m💧 5: makeup wipes do more harm than good ( for your skin and the environment) 6: double cleanse if you wear makeup and or sunscreen 7: chemical exfoliating is way better than physical exfoliating 8: everyone’s skin is different 9: everyone needs to moisturize even if you have oily skin 10: use what works for you 11: fragrance is fine in a wash off treatment but not on a leave on treatment like moisturizer, surum, essence etc 12: be gentle with your skin 13: natural is not always better 14: sunscreen is the most important part of a skin care routine and should be used after everything else 15: eye creams are just expensive moisturizers and are not necessary , just use your regular moisturizer 16: our enemy is st. Ives apricot scrub😳 17: diy skincare is a no, most of them use essential oils (which are just as irritating as regular fragrance) and any of the good benefits that you could be getting from the ingredients are most like lost when you cut the fruit or vegetable open 18: enjoy yourself while doing your skincare and think of it as your you time 19: try to recycle ♻️ your empty skincare containers 20: a good and simple routine should have 4 steps,cleanser(this includes cleansing balms, oils etc), exfoliate, moisturizer, and the most important of them all, sunscreen. 21: ingredients to avoid. Denatured/SD alcohol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, polyvinyl alcohol(avoid these when they are in the first 6 ingredients). Avoid fragrance/parfum. Avoid fragrant essential oils (they are okay if they are at the end of the ingredient list). And avoid citrus extracts (lime, orange, lemon etc) Hope this was informative. I have very stubborn acne and I’ve tried like everything. It’s not super bad but it’s all over my back, chest, and some on my nose, forehead and around my hairline. It’s just really irritating to deal with but I’m not super insecure and I use your videos to help me stay positive and find better products! I also recently had a doctors visit and found out it’s hormonal acne and am on mild medication and I think it’s helping a lot! Yeah! There are videos of good drugstore products you can use, more affordable and high quality. That’s the kind of stuff I use. I can’t afford the expensive products.
10:14 I struggle with acne that makes me insecure so I was using multiple products with acid every day and one day I had what can only be called a minor chemical burn on my face. I stopped using the products every day and switched to more gentle products and my skin was so much happier. Moral is that sometimes a gentler option is better in the long run and to keep your more aggressive things to once a week.

When Hyram talked about CeraVe and how it doesn’t work for everyone I related because even though I know TONS of people who use it and it works wonders for them I had a moisturizer that when I would put it in my face would start to burn and I was younger so I was like oh it’s normal but once I forgot it when I went on a vacation and my skin got way better. Once again this is just my story and don’t be scared to try out CeraVe because of this if you haven’t already and Hyram keep spreading acne positivity! ❤

I was looking for a skin care channel to help. I watched some of his vids and OMG. And should I add anything else? I just don't know where to fit in the niacinamide.

@@fairfight9857 Yeah of course! So the main issue with St Ives is that the granules in it that are used to exfoliate are really large and also uneven in size. Although the short term results may look nice (which is why a lot of people keep using it), it can lead to irritation and skin damage over time. This really brings into question the entire physical vs chemical exfoliant debate as a whole. Many physical exfoliants like St Ives, which use physical granules to exfoliate the skin, tend to have this same problem. St Ives is just one of the most clearly problematic. I personally would reccomend going for a chemical exfoliant in general. I really like the Lactic Acid from the Ordinary or the 2% BHA exfoliant from Paulas Choice. These are going to be a lot more gentle in exfoliating your skin than something like St Ives :))

1: We Stan the ordinary, the inky list, youth to the people,cerea VE,krave beauty, Paulas choice and curology.
2: We dislike Mario badescu, clean and clear, most of neutrogena products, most of tatcha products, kiley skin, pixi skin and many more
3: fragrance is a BIG no. It can can cause many problems like irritation, rashes, pimples, acne and many more
4: Mario badescu sprays are just fragrance in water m💧
5: makeup wipes do more harm than good ( for your skin and the environment)
6: double cleanse if you wear makeup and or sunscreen
7: chemical exfoliating is way better than physical exfoliating
8: everyone’s skin is different
9: everyone needs to moisturize even if you have oily skin
10: use what works for you
11: fragrance is fine in a wash off treatment but not on a leave on treatment like moisturizer, surum, essence etc
12: be gentle with your skin
13: natural is not always better
14: sunscreen is the most important part of a skin care routine and should be used after everything else
15: eye creams are just expensive moisturizers and are not necessary , just use your regular moisturizer
16: our enemy is st. Ives apricot scrub😳
17: diy skincare is a no, most of them use essential oils (which are just as irritating as regular fragrance) and any of the good benefits that you could be getting from the ingredients are most like lost when you cut the fruit or vegetable open
18: enjoy yourself while doing your skincare and think of it as your you time
19: try to recycle ♻️ your empty skincare containers
20: a good and simple routine should have 4 steps,cleanser(this includes cleansing balms, oils etc), exfoliate, moisturizer, and the most important of them all, sunscreen.
21: ingredients to avoid. Denatured/SD alcohol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, polyvinyl alcohol(avoid these when they are in the first 6 ingredients). Avoid fragrance/parfum. Avoid fragrant essential oils (they are okay if they are at the end of the ingredient list). And avoid citrus extracts (lime, orange, lemon etc)

I have very stubborn acne and I’ve tried like everything. It’s not super bad but it’s all over my back, chest, and some on my nose, forehead and around my hairline. It’s just really irritating to deal with but I’m not super insecure and I use your videos to help me stay positive and find better products! I also recently had a doctors visit and found out it’s hormonal acne and am on mild medication and I think it’s helping a lot! 10:14 I struggle with acne that makes me insecure so I was using multiple products with acid every day and one day I had what can only be called a minor chemical burn on my face. I stopped using the products every day and switched to more gentle products and my skin was so much happier. Moral is that sometimes a gentler option is better in the long run and to keep your more aggressive things to once a week.
