Sugar is a big problem for acne. I had to change my diet for some medical reasons and all added sugar was cut out of my diet. I found my face and body acne decreased significantly. However, when I started to slowly get back to my normal diet, my acne began flaring back up again.
For real, it makes such a big difference. My skin did a 180 when I went vegan and started actually eating real healthy 🤣. Not that you have to to vegan, but clean eating SUPER helps your skin.

Hi, I know I’m 2 years after and you probably don’t remember this comment at all, but I’ve read from many sources that CeraVe isn’t cruelty free… but Hyram still recommends it. I haven’t watched all his videos so maybe there’s one where he addresses it but I was wondering on your opinion on this

can you address the location of acne on the face, e.g. what acne around the chin might indicate as a pose to on the forehead, or perhaps debunk it if its a myth ?

If you have acne predominantly around your chin I would look into your toothpaste. I have used Crest/Colgate for years and never thought anything of it, but I would get acne near my chin and it would be super greasy (compared to the rest of my chin). An ingredient in it, SLS, sodium lauryl sulfate, can cause irritation. I have used a non-SLS toothpaste the past month and my chin acne has cleared up tremendously. Ironically, I have been using shampoo and soaps without SLS, but never knew it was in toothpaste!
From what I've looked into, also based from experience, breakouts on your forehead can be caused by hair products like shampoo, dry shampoo (not your mother's caused mine 😣), or conditioner.
Another, might be due to a fungus that results to red bumps. Hyram did a vid about this -- Fungal Acne.
While acne along your jaw line or chin is mostly hormonal acne. Oil glands tend to overreact when we have our period due to fluctuations in our hormones.
At the same time, you may also want to reduce your sugar intake, dairy or high-carb food as it apparently affects our hormone levels.

Mask are important and if you are breaking out maybe it's the type of fabric
i found that if you wash your cloth ones regularly, it gave me less acne and also wash your face after every use
It could be the access moisture from when you breathe out. As long as you dispose of surgical masks, and Wash your cloth masks, you should be fine! Hope this helps! :))

If you’ve got moderate to severe acne I too second the tretinoin. It saved my skin. Otherwise retinol or azelaic acid works too. Did for me! Good luck 💕
Retinoids are useful, but if your skin gets easily irritated/ you don't want to go the prescription route just yet sulfur is also a really good acne product. That being said, I started getting acne prescriptions 4 years ago and while prescription retinols take months to work, when they start working they do a good job for most people.

After binge watching Hyram's channel, I still like fragrance as it serves as an aromatic meditation for me. I have 4 step for morning, 6 step for night. Because of Hyram, I minimised fragrance but did not entirely remove it from my routine. Skincare is supposed to be fun and enjoyable.
Yes I like my skincare to be fun, but it is different for everyone, like having an allergy.

I just very recently learned about them when TH-cam recommended a video about a specific brand I recognized because on old “friend” used to try to pressure me into buying their $40 mascara that it turns out gave many people eye infections.... take a wild guess what brand. She actually got a clump of the extension fibers in her eye while giving me a demonstration and still tried to push it on me. I think learning about that, and it leading me down the MLM rabbit hole was very important and having this knowledge has made me more aware of how prevalent these brands are, how dangerous they are, and how many people have and will fall for these brands because they don’t know. I love how educational all of your videos are, thank you for all that you do ❤️

Pyramid schemes are actually different than multi level marketing. Pyramid schemes only earn you money when you get more people to join. These are more scammy. Mlm are sales but you can earn additional money by enrolling people. There are no requirements to enroll others. You make money by selling (but can earn more from other people) I am in no way associated with monat people just mix these up a lot.

Ikr that stuff made my skin ten times worse. It talks about how natural and crap it is but there grapefruit scrub is a demon scrub holy crap it made my skin super sensitive and dry. The only thing I ever liked from the yes to brand is there cotton moisturizer, it worked fine for me (but it does have fragrance).
I think the issue with Yes To is that there's little to nothing in the way of redeeming qualities? Their whole brand philosophy of plant based stuff is kinda yucky since natural isn't inherently better and they include a lot of irritants.

ive found recently that only washing my skin once a day, or even every other day has helped my acne be a bit better. using too many products can make my skin more sensitive. ive also been using the CeraVe salacylic acid cleanser, so maybe i need a cleanser without SA to use evry other day?
Yeah. You might be over exfoliating but using the SA cleanser every single day because in the end it still has exfoliation properties. That can cause your skin to react then over produce oil and sebum in compensation. Rather than a cleanser you could use a regular cleanser and go in with treatments such as masks (like the Herbivore Blue Tansy mask though it is a on the more expensive side) or like the Paula's Choice BHA Toner 2%.
Yeah you should just have a gentle cleanser to use on off days.
maybe you should use the cerave foaming cleanser, it helped my acne a bit, its just a recommendation
