If grid collapsed 12 times in 2023 and has already collapsed 5 times by May 2024, we're on pole to have a repeat of 12 or more collapses this year Mr. Rewane

    • @samchs222
      @samchs222 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yeah, let's hope he overlooked this he or he is not as competent as we think. He simply just has access to data.
More ships coming in to the port does not tell much. It can tell that there is more confidence in the market that Nigerians have more purchasing power or we are loosing production and becoming more reliant on importation. There could be more to that.
It's always good to have these facts presented anyway

    • @samchs222

It takes between four to five years to build a power plant. The Siemens contracts is currently building 25,000MW transmission grid infrastructure in four years. So, there is no immediate solution to power problems.

The Siemens case is old school.
So much can be done in Solar. It won't take long. It is called off grid technology.
Transmission lines need to be upgraded to take more gas power to prevent grid collapse
Distribution infrastructure need to be upgraded, for example transformers.
We need massive metering of customers.
      All these don't need 5 years .
Tinubu needs to declare emergency on power.
Sorry, he never told you anything.
He avoided all the debates and danced during the campaign.😂😂

In all fairness, you can't judge much after one year. It takes time for policies to translate into real life changes. However, based on government policies and governance, Nigeria can not attract good foreign investment as Obasanjo and Jonathan did. People do not trust the government, they lie a lot and are not fair. Landmark is an example.

The challenge here is that those policies are reactive policies that weren't thought through at all before they were tried. Let us take subsidy for instance into account, the way it was announced and implemented Leaves no confidence in the heart of anyone that it was properly Analysed and its economic impact looked into to create a buffer before it was announced and subsequently implemented. The Problem is that Tinubu has a fool's boldness to things and attacks things without properly studying their likely effects.

@aao449 If the majority of Nigerians feel cheated then they must fight for their democratic right. It really IS that simple, a people can't be oppressed if they refuse to bow down to tyrants.
Every people get the government they deserve. The UK isn't a democracy because the Royals made it so. It was FOUGHT FOR, South Sudan fought a 40 year war for freedom. That's what it takes, especially when you're dealing with Africans.
