Can we stop assessing the Loveland throw? It's not about that throw. It's about that play. The play was designed and called to get Donovan open on the wheel route, and it worked to perfection. Without an o-line to run into their anus like he's doing his best Mark Sanchez impression, he might still be running
I went and rewatched the games in slow motion and the player that caused the most TFLs and broken plays was Evan Link. I don't think Minnesota has 5 star DEs, but Link sure made them look that way. He didn't run block either, on two occasions in the first drive in the third quarter, he let his assignment immediately run into the backfield like Edwards owed him money.
@MoneyIsSilver Link has had one really good drive the entire season and that just happened to be the final one vs USC. Other than that, he's looked confused. I think the upside of Gentry is significantly higher and would like to think the floor would be higher as well. I'm hoping the staff sees a good week of practice and hope it translates to gameplay. If not, idk what we're missing. Hopefully another week of continuity and then a bye allows the blocking schemes and assignments to gel for the remainder of the season
I agree Michigan is improving and so is Alex Orji. The time he looked left, nothing, then came back to the right, made his read and fired it was an A+ pass! He didn't "get lucky". Also, he had the one time when he looked to pass, nothing open and then he tucked it and ran for a 10+ yard pickup was impressive. It's going to be very challenging to travel all the way to Washington and be ready to play. I know this new Big 10 is creating revenue for the NCAA and league but it's crazy to have student athletes travel so far for games - especially during school weeks. Go Blue!
Lmao probably still be asking this in week 10 as a show topic. Only thing that will change this offense is Alex Orji being able to complete throws downfield and/or being able to properly get to a 2nd or 3rd read progression. Of course both of those also depend on Oline up front giving him time, but he has to be able to hit those throws. If not this team goes 8-4. If he starts doing that then really sky is the limit. I don’t see any evidence that this will start happening unfortunately

Is very pathetic that we don't have a quarterback that can actually throw it past further than 15 yd accurately. Everybody wants a pat Alex on the back and say he's improving. We really should not Have to talk about whether or not our quarterback can throw a ball. It's absolutely ludicrous. Oh, he helps with the run game people say. He actually makes it worse. Knowing that our quarterback and a running backs are going to do the running and nobody can throw the ball there's basically zero threat downfield. So every team can play the run. Haven't you noticed how we've been stopped in the second half for 3 out of the four games? On top of that, the coaching staff does not know how to adjust at halftime.
What did Woody Hayes say about putting the ball in the air three things can happen in two of them are bad Ohio State learned that lesson 2 years ago CJ through 2 pics last year Kyle McCord threw two picks can't wait to see what will Howard do this year.
Your take is pathetic. First off, Orji hasn’t thrown the ball downfield enough to know if he can or can’t throw the ball deep. He was actually more accurate throwing downfield in high school and in spring games… The coaching staff has made mistakes but is still finding ways to win despite how horrible you think they are. There’s improvement that has to happen but they have been improving…
@@ryand5725 there is a reason why he hasn't thrown the ball downfield because the coaching staff has no faith in him and confidence that he can do it. Spring ball and high school? Really because that's the same? Oh my gosh dude drink another one

Run the triple option to no end until we can pass , four downs not 3 forget punting...they get 3 per that's 12 ....and hold the ball
If you cant pass just give me like 1k yards rushing a game. Is that asking too much?

Way too much of a data dump on various ratings on defense, offense, pass blocking etc. Waste of time. I guess it fills your required time slot
I love how Buckeye fans watch this and comment. Broken fan base lol

Campbell & his scheme are just horrible. A former assistant of an assistant who was handed the keys to a Bugatti & fills it up with 87
He was handed zero QBs, zero WRs over 5’5 and zero OTs who can pass block lol. The Bugatti got sold in January
A Pollyanna syrupy-coated viewpoint out of the necessity to justify a team with a terrible QB and average talent on the offense.
