    thanks for your lession sir , but i have a question about across and over . You said that across is to go an object with touching it while over is to go without touching object so why " go over the bridge " but not " go across the bridge " ?

    • @Poshypaws
      @Poshypaws 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      " go over the bridge " but not " go across the bridge " ? Across the bridge is used in American English frequently. You can use the expression, to go across the bridge, in British English. The simple answer to your to question is that he does not know the answer and, in addition, he is being pedantic about the difference.

    Teacher, i have a doubt. Fall over and Fall off both phrasal verbs has the same meaning ?

    • @Canguroenglish
      @Canguroenglish  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. 'over' and 'off' have different meanings. To 'fall over' means that something is vertical, and then it falls and becomes horizontal, but on the same surface. 'Fall off' means that something is 'on' (a shelf, a bus, a wall) and then it falls 'off' that thing. I hope that helps!
