I and other men I know have been celibate most of our lives because women rejected us in the years where couples meet up and get married. The type of women I was attracted to were extremely toxic because I was unable to be drawn to the type of woman who would have made a good partner. The result was that I never connected in a relationship and consequently have been celibate always. I tried years of counseling to no avail. Sometimes things in this life don't go our way.
Once you understand celibacy You will understand your own energy. Once you understand your own energy. Then your purpose in life will be added to you because you begin to attract high vibration people and manifest the things you want and deserve in life.

I really hope this happens to me too. My husband passed away but I am only 40 and a young 40, I spent a long time very lonely and grieving but then I had an awakening experience. Weirdly, how it affected me was I panicked and thought it was just going to be by myself awakened but alone. I also stoped being dominated by what people thought of me, I also had more ease expressing myself as a person and my vibration was higher. That seemed to lead to new people coming into my life and making a lot of new friends, at that point I started having sex again but it was very unfulfilling without that soul connection my husband and I had. I met a great guy and he made me realise I would love to be in a relationship again however he didn't want to commit, so I have decided to focus on my spiritual growth and my family in service to others. However, I really hope my decision to be celibate will lead me to higher vibration people who are spiritual also.

I recently became a Christian and finally understood that our bodies are the temple of the holy spirit, the holy presence of God, sex is a serious connection. I had the same thought before "I want to wait until marriage but I don't know how to do it", and what I learned was we don't rely on our own power, we have to rely on God for that. That's only through Him and Jesus Christ that this is possible. I've been already 1,5 years and regret not doing earlier. I've never felt so free in my life. If you want to wait until marriage and think it's beautiful, go for it. Ask God for wisdom and stay away from temptations, wrong company and places that might be bad influences. Exactly, being celibate has taught me that every relationship I've ever had I had manipulated somehow to be with me or stay with me. This time around I want real love, like agape love. I want to know that they are with me cause they want to be with me...not cause they feel like they have to or owe me , feel sorry for me, etc. I want to know they are choosing to be there and I didn't do anything to force it. It's hard realizing that I have never been in love and no one has really been in love with me but better late then never. The next time I have sex will be through marriage and God will be the lead.
My dear there's a difference between celibacy and abstaining. Celibacy is waiting until you are married before you have sex. Abstaining is going without sex for a while then do it again. I'll say you are abstaining if you have sex now and then with a man that you feel a good connection with. We also have to bear in mind that our bodies are the temple of the Holy spirit. Hey guys just a comment for you who have been celibate for sooo many days. I recently just learned about the Tibetan rites from Peter Kelder's books. The sixth rite is for when you've chosen to be celibate, and it involves an exercise to do when you have the urge building in you that channels that force upwards and he stresses that people generally eventually fail when trying to "control" sexual urges but when you are intently purposefully re-directing that force you will succeed. Basically, the few who can live this way and apply this sixth Tibetan rite will become superhuman.
I have decided to be celibate as well, for similar reasons. It's powerful and will make you have more respect for yourself and will make you realize your value and build your self esteem. You also become more selective and discerning with men, and you won't allow yourself to be trashed.

I love this! Especially in this day and age of “YEAH BUT WHAT’S YOUR BODY COUNT?” I thought about how many times I’ve seen, and heard that spoken by men to women. They want your body, yet they will shame you for giving it to anyone, but them so it’s literally like every man, thinks every woman should only have sex with them. ( I know weird concept) but if you’re not having sex with that, one individual man that you are talking to at the moment, and you happen to have had sex, or are having sex with another man, they will shame you for your “body count”. So besides the cleansing and the spiritual aspects and benefits that come from celibacy, why should you be giving up your sexual energy to men who are going to shame you for it anyway? The same men will turn around and shame you for not having sex, call you cat lady, and all kinds of stuff to try to get you to be open to having sex ……. But then will shame you for it. See the confusion, contradiction and the manipulation? Do men really deserve our sexual energy where there is no love? They literally get to be inside of our temple. Do they deserve that and this is not a man bashing thing, but I think every time a woman goes to have sex, she needs to think about that. I really hope that there is a global wave of celibacy from women, unless they are married, or in a committed loving relationship. And I don’t feel like abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but when you take a honest look at things, like abortion and birth control, control over our own bodies is already being taken away from us. So why risk unwanted pregnancy or disease.

I would say the body count issue stems mostly from what you said, “do men deserve out sexual energy if there’s no love” If your count 20+, you have to wonder how someone could be deeply in love with all those people. I was dating a guy for several year's, he had no problem getting sex from me but i never saw a ring. I definitely don't blame him. I t was my stupidity. However, i woke up ! I recently became a Christian and finally understood that our bodies are the temple of the holy spirit, the holy presence of God, sex is a serious connection.
I had the same thought before "I want to wait until marriage but I don't know how to do it", and what I learned was we don't rely on our own power, we have to rely on God for that. That's only through Him and Jesus Christ that this is possible. I've been already 1,5 years and regret not doing earlier. I've never felt so free in my life.
If you want to wait until marriage and think it's beautiful, go for it. Ask God for wisdom and stay away from temptations, wrong company and places that might be bad influences.

Exactly, being celibate has taught me that every relationship I've ever had I had manipulated somehow to be with me or stay with me. This time around I want real love, like agape love. I want to know that they are with me cause they want to be with me...not cause they feel like they have to or owe me , feel sorry for me, etc. I want to know they are choosing to be there and I didn't do anything to force it. It's hard realizing that I have never been in love and no one has really been in love with me but better late then never. The next time I have sex will be through marriage and God will be the lead.

My sexual urge sometimes push me and make me tension to go to a woman with my mind being naked of her or how having sex with her, and yeah, thats not how it works for me, because as you say, you can get this woman, but no keep her! Hey guys just a comment for you who have been celibate for sooo many days. I recently just learned about the Tibetan rites from Peter Kelder's books. The sixth rite is for when you've chosen to be celibate, and it involves an exercise to do when you have the urge building in you that channels that force upwards and he stresses that people generally eventually fail when trying to "control" sexual urges but when you are intently purposefully re-directing that force you will succeed. Basically, the few who can live this way and apply this sixth Tibetan rite will become superhuman.

I love this! Especially in this day and age of “YEAH BUT WHAT’S YOUR BODY COUNT?” I thought about how many times I’ve seen, and heard that spoken by men to women. They want your body, yet they will shame you for giving it to anyone, but them so it’s literally like every man, thinks every woman should only have sex with them. ( I know weird concept) but if you’re not having sex with that, one individual man that you are talking to at the moment, and you happen to have had sex, or are having sex with another man, they will shame you for your “body count”. So besides the cleansing and the spiritual aspects and benefits that come from celibacy, why should you be giving up your sexual energy to men who are going to shame you for it anyway? The same men will turn around and shame you for not having sex, call you cat lady, and all kinds of stuff to try to get you to be open to having sex ……. But then will shame you for it. See the confusion, contradiction and the manipulation? Do men really deserve our sexual energy where there is no love? They literally get to be inside of our temple. Do they deserve that and this is not a man bashing thing, but I think every time a woman goes to have sex, she needs to think about that. I really hope that there is a global wave of celibacy from women, unless they are married, or in a committed loving relationship. And I don’t feel like abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but when you take a honest look at things, like abortion and birth control, control over our own bodies is already being taken away from us. So why risk unwanted pregnancy or disease.
Stop coping. If you are giving it to anyone who is not your husband, then you are not a virtuous woman. The men you are giving it up to are not virtuous men either. Like attracts like and sexual immorality has its consequencies no matter how you rationalize it.
Then again, 99% of people out here are willing to have multiple sexual partners before "settling down with the one" in marriage. So, you are in good company.
