In the second of Into Creative's video collaborations debut novelist, Gillian Shirreffs, is interviewed by Alistair Braidwood of Scots Whay Hae.
Gillian Shirreffs is a Glasgow-based writer with a background in HR and teaching. She uses fiction to explore the world of illness and the essay form to examine hidden medical places and spaces. Her creative practice is driven by curiosity, invention, and the desire to illuminate the lived experience of multiple sclerosis. In gratitude for the kindness and care received during breast cancer treatment, all proceeds will go to Beatson Cancer Charity.
This series of interviews intends to take a deep dive to investigate the creative spark, circumstance and processes which bring to fruition the work of writers, musicians, actors, filmmakers and all kinds of creatives.
