I love this! So on topic for me. It seems to me, or at least in my experience, that when we are truly free, we become unpredictable, and that’s a beautiful thing. 'Nice' isn’t the same as true divine quality of kindness from the heart. Being kind comes from a place of genuine compassion and authenticity, not as a mask to appear 'divine' or pleasing. I catch myself. In freedom, every moment feels alive and fresh. Sometimes, our reactions or expressions may not appear 'nice', they might be more confrontational, assertive, or direct - but they arise from truth. One of the most profound aspects of this state, especially in awakened state, is the absence of inner judgment, guilt, shame, or blame. Or if such arise, there isnt any investment or sense of self identity in them. There’s also difference between attaining a State and maintaining it. I’m doing my best to embody and maintain this understanding, and this is what I’ve learned and experienced.
Adyashanti: "Sometimes awake people are not particularly nice" Suddenly everybody is shocked that being awakened or not has nothing to do with niceness. What a Revelation 🤣🤣🤣💀
Excellent. Sooo true. Being undivided is integrity, is having broken down inner walls, no more compartimentalization, just simple truthfulness moment to moment. No role playing, no niceness for the sake of being nice. Excellent. Thank you both.
Yes, I can imagine. I know Adyashanti only from YT, so I never was present in his gatherings or his staff, but I have encountered enough other spiritual groups where staff and followers compete amongst eachother to perform the role of the best enlightened person in the crowd. Particularly being a staff member seduces one to fall into that trap. I suppose those theatrical performances are here to mirror ourselves, to show us the mechanism, instead of criticize them. But that's me now, reflecting on the subject from my armchair. Back then I judged the hypocrites harshly and with desdain.
My sister in law was so nice and everyone talked about how nice she was when she died - and she was nice, so much so that her cancer returned. She was a scientist and only tried energy healing as a last resort, because she did not believe in this woo woo and the healer said, she had buckets and buckets of suppressed anger. I knew she had this facade of niceness which I just could not live up to, when i tried i felt so constricted - at the time I believed that's what I should do, that that was the expectation of the family and I'm glad I didn't and remained as authentic as i possibly could and realised i was still loved and appreciated- because the cancer I had was healed.

I can't tell you how many non-duality books I've read where it's shared that the awakened person is not so nice. Actually some are pretty nice decent people. They just don't care how people respond to what they express any more. Tony Parsons comes to mind. There's no more political correctness. Jesus was politically incorrect. That's probably what I loved about him the most. He extraverted his beliefs to the world about God knowing he was going to be killed and that most people in the world after him would not understand him or care about him. I don't think he cared. He was undivided internally and was able to fully express himself. That's all that mattered.
An awake person is aware they are not (a person.) There is no personhood, just aliveness. “Suffocating spiritual bullshit” is an ego level judgement. Which is fine, it touches however on a taboo- reidentification after insight. Being alive and Ego are tied in the nervous system. It’s biologically intented for our survival.
Love the bit about being at the dinner of "spiritual" people and finding relief that truth exists! Living in truth is so much better than illusion.
These older videos are great, thank you 🙏

There are many stories of ancient gurus saying and doing some pretty harsh things.
@@mrbob4819 not even ancient, still happens up to this day. lotsa questionable 'gurus' still lurking on this planet
True awakening of the heart is perfect love, nothing else.
Adya is niceness all over.😊
Adya is such a gem.

So relevant for their own support staff to listen to and understand. Big-time spiritual façades…{Fyi} Such are the temptations to hidden hypocrisy.

Kindness is an act of strength. Niceness is an act of weakness.
Can depend if the act is subjective or not
So beautiful and wise insights! I declare it with my personal experiences!

Yes
When we hear truth it vibes
Ramana maharshi is truth
Sri Nis used to throw people out of satsang. Ramana would yell at people for dropping a grain of rice, and U.G. Krisnamerti yelled at everyone.
Love this one!! Thanks 💜🩵💛🙏
Thank you
I love this talk ! Thank you so much 🙏 💛 💚 💓

Dude, I like your long hair!
Hilarious and so accurate what he said about Nisargadatta.

Nice is an ego level judgement, as it is inherently dual.
@h.neubert8770 Or a reaction to fear
@@jasonwilkerson9497 any reaction is dual as well. Not smart assing you, non duality is a state of pure being without any judgement.
Yes,that's phoniness.

Who is ‘Na saga dada’? The enlightened guy you speak of.
Nisargadatta
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
His book of excerpts is called I AM THAT. Check it out if you want to be blown away by the simplicity of his non dual message.
There is no such thing as “nice”
I hope to never meet that fake, egotistical person asking the questions.
That guy is on the path to enlightenment?
Every human is on the path. That one is a lot closer than many, he's bothering to look at it.
lol there’s like nothing fake or egotistical about em
Someone got triggered, it does not fit your persona of someone being on the path? Consider it a blessing, look more into those beliefs.
I hope he never meets you😂
Why do you think he's fake and egotistical?
