Tetexcalhuiliztli (for 14 musicians) 2017

Tetexcalhuiliztli (for 14 musicians) was premiered at Palacio de Bellas Artes, CDMX, September 3rd 2017. This recording is from the German premiere at the Lichtenbergschule (Große Sporthalle) Darmstadt, 2018.
The work is dedicated to the Mexican poet Mario Santiago Papasquiaro. The title in Nahuatl refers to the action of jumping from a high mountain to the Abyss.
Tetexcalhuiliztli was commissioned by IBERMUSICAS for Ensemble CEPROMUSIC (Mexico)
