YAY you did it!!! This was my favorite AC game, I think you will probably miss it when you play any of the old gen that come after it - The movement becomes slidy and sluggish, the Intensify is gone forever, the projectiles will get slower, reloading stump your aggression, you're boosters and overboost will overheat you, and worst of all the Blade Tracking becomes horrible - But, I'm glad you got to enjoy silent line, again it really was the last game of it's kind :)
Oh damn, that bad huh? 😂 Silent Line really surprised me on all fronts. It was super fun and I'm going to for sure be playing more of it on my own time. I enjoyed it to the point were I would like to 100% the game. LOVE the arena in this game.

This is one of the ACs that I cut my teeth on as a youth before I really started to get into the series in the 4th gen. The Big White spinning around a corner putting its second hand on its cannon lives in my head rent-free. The 2nd and 3rd gens had a huge impact on my taste for sci-fi aesthetics, seeing a bit of a renaissance for the series makes me happy. I hope we get ways to play the older gens on modern consoles soon. I'd drop coin on a collection.
The only way that from is ever going to do that is that if we make it known that that's what we want make a Facebook post about it make a TH-cam video about it explaining that's what you want if no one says anything then it will never be done because there is nobody to be heard from kind of wants to bury these games
The Silent Line playthrough was fun to watch. I still enjoy playing 2 more but Silent Line was good. Need to replay Silent Line again with the dual stick patch to get a better feel for how I feel about it. Also, have fun with nexus. I went tank my latest time and had fun.
So glad you really enjoy this game!! By far my favorite in the entire franchise. It does everything 3 did but just that much better. By the way, with the MEST-MX/CROW extensions (what Eclair and the AI Satellite AC have) it's provides Stealth and not really ECM jamming. No matter how high your ECM resistance is, you will not lock on until CROW's duration runs out. Silent Line shortened the duration almost in half, so it was much easier to deal with those with it. IIRC, MTs are not affected by it for some reason and continue firing at you. Wack how AC's lose lock but MTs still go crazy (manual aim maybe?) Excited to see you in Nexus! I do hope you do both discs of Nexus too.
Oh no kiddin? Hmmm I wonder where I got that mixed up. Crow being nerfed makes sense then. I probably saw it last less and assumed it was my head unit. The second disc of Nexus is like a greatest hits of previous games yeah?
Hell yeah, so glad you got to experience these old games man. Can't WAIT for Nexus and LR. They're weird at first (and I hope you don't have any emulation issues with them, it's somewhat common unfortunately), but they have their own charm once you get through the brick wall of the new systems!
I should be all good on emulation issues since I've got them for PS2 😁. This silent line playthrough was on my original ps2 with a copy of the game I picked up for myself. I'm wicked looking forward to Nexus and Last Raven.
Loving all the vids. Can't wait for you to run through last raven. My favorite simply because it and SL dominated my childhood. I found ACLR more difficult in the arena but missions easier compared to AC3SL. But ACLR has a great story!

@@Thryfe it's what introduced a lot of people to the series generation 3 is probably the best out there when it comes to armored core people often argue about it but three is beloved by most
Felt like i was watching a regular thryfe vid set in the past. But glad you liked the game. I feel 3 and silent line should be played back to back, just for a complete story. But the challenge of SL makes it a good stand alone. You gonna do nexus and last raven back to back? If i remember, the story of those were set close together and you can transfer your data.
I replayed AC3 again, but this time in its entirety before I jumped into Silent Line, about 2 or 3 weeks before I think 😁. I'm 100% doing Nexus and Last Raven back to back.

Dude I'd happily open up my wallet if they did something with the older games. Revisiting AC2 in a new way no matter how small would have me hype!

I had a blast with it. I think if I played it as a kid like I did with Armored Core 2, it would be up there as one of my favorites for sure.
