A tip, if it hasnt been mentioned yet... put a piece of tape on each end of the drivers side air line so when you place the bracket on the hitch crossmember, you know which line is the drivers side, so you can put the drivers side on the drivers side and the passenger side on the passenger side, so you know which side you are filling.
Hey Mike!…I have the jack stands under the frame in the rear on each side, basically where you would jack the truck up to change a tire…then I have 1 jack under the “pumpkin”, and 2 more jacks under each side of axle….if you watch video at around the 4 minute and 21 second mark you can get a decent look at where they’re all located…hope that helps!
Nice job sir! Your video on the transmission cooler allowed an amateur like me to install w/out issues and appears you will save me again on this project. Thanks again!!
Thanks for the feedback!…love hearing the videos are helping out, much appreciated!…let me know if ya ever need help with anything, thanks for watching!
Hmm, that’s a good question...I’m not super familiar with helper springs, I’ve never used them...let me do some research for ya, and maybe someone can chime in as well...I’ll let ya know what I find out!
Ok so from what I can see after looking it up, it seems like you would be able to, but I can’t confirm this for 100% certainty...Firestone actually sells a kit that includes helper springs and these bags that I have installed, so I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to install the bags over the springs...sorry I couldn’t give you a definitive answer, but it looks like it would work to me!
I had airlift bags on my 2016 and it rode like an empty dump truck without a load. Tried all sorts of different air pressures and nothing made it better except removing them
did Firestone redesign the 2445? I ordered some and it doesn't have the piece of the lower bracket that hangs down and rests on the actually round axel.
Another tip is you can remove your bump stop instead of cutting it off. Simply loosen the 4 nuts below the ubolts until loose enough to remove bump stop and retorque nuts to spec.
yea no prob, I'm almost positive it's 1/4" hose, and yepper....I actually installed the AirLift WirelessOne 25980EZ compressor after this, works like a charm!...I actually have a video on my channel showing that install as well, I highly recommend the airlift, super convenient!
Torque values from Firestone Tech (they were not listed in instructions): Step 5 should be 15-20 ft/lbs on the Jam nut. Step 6 should be 10-15 ft/lbs on the flange nuts on the carriage bolts.
Hey buddy, I’ve never seen a kit for 1 inch blocks… If I remember correctly I think I read that they say it’s not needed with a 1 inch block… If you have an angle grinder or something similar you can always get the 2 inch kit and trim it down to fit
Thank you, I appreciate that! You definitely want to use the bracket. If the mount isn’t in touch with the axle (or at least very close) you can run into issues and damage the bags. Hope that helps!
I noticed that you had blocks to lift the rear. That's fine but if you notice the Airbags are way offset from the leaf springs. The bottom bracket is designed to rest on the axle (with your lift it doesn't!) I had to fabricate a piece of iron that would bolt into the bottom bracket so that it would touch the axles I have 4" blocks in there as well. Just thought I would mention it since I didn't see it in the video and that bottom bracket will not hold 5k pounds without the extra support. Great vid!
Thanks for the feedback Ryan!!...I actually have the extensions installed so they do rest on the axle, Firestone makes “bracket extensions” (part # F2506) for this exact reason, great tip for anyone who doesn’t know this though!!...I have the link for them in the video info section as well, thanks for watching!!
@@NitroZ18Fishing Oh good! was hoping that was the case! Also the part No is for a 2" block. Firestone only makes up to a 3" lift extension (part #F2507) so if you have a garden variety 6" lift on your tundra you need 4" extensions (rear), in which case you have to fabricate. I found this out the hard way but hopefully this saves some others. Again fantastic camera work and sweet ride!
I got a stock 2015 tundra and I am trying to install these. Is it alright for the bracket to lay on the axel? Just seems a little weird to me to have that lower bracket actually sitting on the axel?
Yes sir, that’s perfectly normal...that’s actually how they’re supposed to sit, its made for support...I have the 2” lift in the back so I had to get additional brackets for mine so they touch axle...hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Mine didn’t come with them either, I just made sure they were nice and snug, but I was unable to find exact specs myself…have a few thousand miles on em and no issues so far!
What reason you add Firestone WR17602506 Air-Rite 2" Axle Bracket Extension and help performance by added? Question what inch lift you have front and rear? I have 3.5" lift from Rough Country kit and purchase Firestone 2" Axle Bracket Extension. Brackets doesn't fit probably because my lift rear is only 1.5"
it looks like you used the #TR2445 model instead of the #2445. Am i wrong. the link for the kit doesnt look the same as yours but the TR2445 does. just want to be sure. thanks
Hey Cody!…yea I see exactly what you’re talking about, which is really weird…haha…I ordered the 2445 and that’s even what my receipt says, but you’re correct when lookin at the kits online…the TR2445 looks exactly like the kit I used…not sure why my receipt says 2445…sorry for the confusion, hope that helps!
You only use them to raise the truck after loading it down with whatever you’re trailering or hauling...for example, if the load weighs it down and makes it squat 2” in the rear, you would fill bags to whatever psi it takes to raise it back up 2”...hope that helps!
Yea absolutely, here’s a kit that’s basically identical. Replaced the 2445’s, and they’re less expensive as well. Currently has a $40 off coupon too, can’t beat it! amzn.to/49vztTJ
I've got a question about That extension bracket that you show the picture of at the end of the video.. I've got a lift kit on my truck as well so I'm curious, what happens if you don't install that bracket?
Ride is excellent, I keep them at 10psi when I’m not towing/hauling and I don’t even know they’re back there...currently on vacation now, towed the boat 4 hours north and also had the bed loaded down, set the bags at 30psi and ride was perfect...no miscellaneous sounds or anything like that!
Instead of mounting the air valves on the receiver frame, run them up through the bottom two license plate bracket holes. That way the bottom two holes in the license plate are your air valves, use chrome caps, It looks good and it’s easier to fill and check pressure.
Yes sir, I’m sure it will!…they didn’t really change much at all from 2020 to 2021, so I would be willing to bet it would fit perfectly…hope that helps!
Thanks man!…I got mine from www.sdtrucksprings.com, but they sell em a lot of places!…I would shop around for best price, I went with them because at the time they had a good sale going on, hope that helps!
Yea that’s a popular option for sure... they come in handy if you do a lot of heavy off roading, they allow you to have more articulation without worrying about damaging the bags… I don’t do a lot of off-roading at all so for me they aren’t needed… Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Hmmm, as far as airbags go I think you would have to cut the bump stop with all the brands, but I could be wrong!...hopefully someone can chime in and correct me if there are bags out there that are different, I’ve honestly only used Firestone’s so I’m not super familiar with all other options out there...sorry I couldn’t help more!
do you mean the bump stop?...if so yea they are only held down by the U bolts from rear axle, if you wanted to go through the trouble of removing U bolts and taking the bump stops off without cutting them, that's def an option!
Depends on what kind of lift, if you have any kind of block or spacer lift in rear where the gap between your leaf springs and frame doesn’t change, you’ll be able to use them!...I’m not too familiar with Pro Comp’s lift so I don’t want to give you any wrong info!
I bought a union tee for my 07 2wd Tundra hoping I'd be able to just fill up one air nipple for balanced psi on my Torque Air bag suspension 2007-2021(replacement for # 2445 air bags ) Any thoughts appreciated sir. Badass truck btw Ty
Thank you, I appreciate that!…yepper, using a union T you should be able to just fill via one valve and the pressure will disburse evenly into both bags, hope that helps!
Use kids bubbles when looking for air leaks. Nothing works better. Pour some in a little container and use a small paint brush to apply it anywhere you need. Blows big bubbles you can't miss if its leaking.
I love watching your video and new upgraded on you're Toyota Tundra. Have you heard Daystar, Air Bag Cradle? Do you really need for this kit? I am using same air bag and wireless air compressor same as your, mainly using for RV trailer and golf cart in bed
Hey Marc!...thank you!...and yepper, I looked at the Daystars...I personally don’t feel they’re needed, the people who really benefit from them are heavy off roaders, they basically allow you to have full articulation without risking damaging the bags...if you don’t do a lot of off roading or “flexing” your suspension they’re not needed at all in my opinion...hope that helps!
Great video. Curious why you didn't go with Firestone's version of the product that includes the wireless compressor? I like your setup, but was curious before I purchase. Thanks.
Thanks Nick!...honestly there really isn’t a reason other than all the great reviews of the WirelessONE EZ, plus if I remember correctly it was on sale when I purchased...hahaha...but I definitely love it, no issues at all...thanks for watching!
That’s the extension kit for the rear axle, I have 2” blocks in the rear so I used the extension kit to support them on the axle like they would sit with no lift in the rear…hope that helps!
Great video! It's been few months now, was this upgrade worth it? Is it helping the truck with the squat? Also, is the truck riding as good as before? Thanks.
Thank you!...and absolutely, 100%...I have my 3 presets to “normal” for every day driving, “boat” for when I’m towing my boat, and “heavy duty” for when I’m loaded down...no squat whatsoever and ride is smooth as can be...would definitely recommend them, well worth the small investment!...thanks for watching!
oh...Make mini me do something...My dad made me, and it made me a better person and now I understand mechanics better...I wish I had done more with him...
If I wasn’t making a video it’s a quick install, I’d say an hour at the max…hard for me to tell for sure because I’m always working with the camera…lol
This is a great video, Your camera work is great. Question, is the wireless install actually worth the extra expense? Camper will be on a few times a year. Thoughts?
Thank you, I appreciate that!...and honestly I love the WirelessOne EZ module, it’s so convenient to just hit a button or use the app on the phone to adjust the bags...can even adjust them on the fly if you feel the ride doesn’t feel right...I would absolutely say it’s worth it, but it’s one of those things that’s up to the buyer...some would say no, but I’ll never install bags without it!...hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Hey been following your chanel for a while, I just purchased the airlift 5000 ultimate and the ride is way to stiff and bouncy even at 5 psi. I had this ones on a diferent truck and work great. My question is did your firestone airbags lifted your truck even at 5 psi? And did it it stiffened your ride?
Hello!...thanks for following along, and supporting the channel!...these Firestone’s didn’t affect the ride at all, I keep them at 8-10 minimum at all times and I don’t even know they’re back there...as for the lift, they bring the rear up slightly but it’s not enough to even notice...I remember measuring after installing them and inflating to 10psi, but I can’t recall the exact amount of lift, but I do remember it was very minimal...hope that helps!!
Hey Patrick, I have a few questions. First off thanks for all the videos, we have a lot in common when it comes to our truck so your channel is very helpful. I'm thinking of installing the same air bags, I was wondering about the ride of the truck with no load. Is it bumpier than stock? Also noticed your bed rug. Is there a reason why you went bed rug over spray in liner?
Hey Joe!...thanks for supporting the channel, it’s much appreciated!...so with no load I keep them at 8 psi and don’t even know they’re back there...I could remove them and it wouldn’t feel any different at all...and I love that BedRug!... I originally put it in my first tundra because my kids liked to play back there and it’s padded/soft so it was good for them… But I liked it so much I’ve had it in all three of my tundra’s now… It’s extremely durable and it keeps anything I have back there from getting scratched when rolling around… Washes off extremely easy as well… Hope that helps!
It doesn't matter how many airbags you install on your Tundra to level up the truck(because airbags do just that, level up the truck) it will not make it more capable. As I see your Tundra (a wery unique, kudos for that) you should not tow a trailer larger than 5 k lbs when is fully loaded( family, food, gear...) and no more than 5-600 lbs tongue weight. Just my two cents...
Wrong...when it's at the stock ride height the braking, handling and steering are back to full capabilities. They are not designed to carry more weight... just to level things out within the spec weight.
OMG you made this so simple i truly appreciate your help. You saved me do much time i appreciate your attention to detail
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate the support!!
Thank you for taking the time to show us your install. Big help!!

What lift do you have? I don’t remember which one you bought
I’m running the 4/2 ReadyLift SST
oh...Make mini me do something...My dad made me, and it made me a better person and now I understand mechanics better...I wish I had done more with him...
Yes sir, he’s my right hand man...love that he likes to be out in garage with me!
Also,I used to call my boys knuckleheads when they were little. Thanks for the laugh✌
Nice boat in the background! ( trust you a little more after seeing that 😏😏💪) haha
Hahaha…that’s my other baby…lots of videos on her on the channel too…thanks for watching!
How long did it take to install?
If I wasn’t making a video it’s a quick install, I’d say an hour at the max…hard for me to tell for sure because I’m always working with the camera…lol
Very good video. Thanks!
Thanks man, I appreciate it!

A very very good video THANKYOU....
Thank you, I appreciate that!
This is a great video, Your camera work is great. Question, is the wireless install actually worth the extra expense? Camper will be on a few times a year. Thoughts?
Thank you, I appreciate that!...and honestly I love the WirelessOne EZ module, it’s so convenient to just hit a button or use the app on the phone to adjust the bags...can even adjust them on the fly if you feel the ride doesn’t feel right...I would absolutely say it’s worth it, but it’s one of those things that’s up to the buyer...some would say no, but I’ll never install bags without it!...hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
thank you very much !!
you made my day !!!
No prob, thanks for watching!!
Thanks man Ima install these bags
No prob!...I’m definitely happy with them, thanks for watching!
@@NitroZ18Fishing thanks alot it does help, I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Great Job
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Not enough light
You lost me at using a sawzall instead of just taking the bump stops out😂
Why not tee the airlines into one...
Thanks.
No prob, thanks for watching!
Commen sense isn't very common anymore. Your vehicle can kill you! Slow and steady, Do not rush, think think think
Flat washer placed on either side of lock washer, defeats the ability of the lock washer to lock.
That was good
Thank you!
