- From then, Nissan made sports cars in the 90s such as the the Silvia, 200SX, 180SX, The Fairlady Z and the well known Skyline GT-R. As of now Nissan discontinued the R35 GTr due to not meeting regulations and Nissan makes small suvs like the juke and electric cars such as the Leaf and the new Sakura.

I love that the old R32 that kept winning Mt Pannorama was included. That’s where the name ‘Godzilla’ for it came.

Toyota tried to bring back the AE86 but it ended up being an expensive bloated car that became something else. Mazda has been able to keep the Miata focused and it's shown to be popular, and if you look at the amount of money people are asking for worn out shells or half-completed SR-20 swaps, there's sure to be a market.

@@w_tapper i respect what toyotas doing with the gr brand and yaris supra and 86 keeping that sporty petrol motors with manual transmissions not all this electric and automatic only bs thats happening nowadays it has workd out well for toyota for them bringing back the supra a couple years ago and shows to the companies and engineers designers and the workers that theyre is still interest for sports cars

At one time, making fast cars that won on track days was the best way to push your car brand, so these manufacturers dived in, today it's all about comfort and convenience . Nissan and Mitsubishi in particular are always following trends, they don't usually make them. Thus, it's understandable how they came to be what they are today.
So we should force the other car brands to make sports cars again
At least the Z series is back i guess and that is something that nissan deserves respect for. Especially since is has a manual, not efficient but fun as hell.

@@bneyarddr.9872 technically the 370z was part of the z family though. New z is also. I don’t understand where you got this “paying homage” idea because the 400z is literally just a 370z successor. And the 350z came before that. And the 300zx before that. Same for the GTR series - JDM fanboys like to pretend that the r35 doesn’t exist.
hopefully the new direction Nissan's going in, with the new Z400 and EVs, will be able to rekindle those old 90's glory days.
We hope but there's little competition it might not last long we should beg the other old Car manufacturers to re make actual sports cars

I agree with Craig Lieberman, Technical Advisor for the first two Fast and Furious films: the prices for these cars don’t seem to be going down anytime soon, get what you can now

@@xoiDROCKiox My buddy got lucky getting a mostly clean, stock R34 GT-T shipped from Japan sight-unseen for $22,000 CAD including taxes and shipping a couple years ago. Definitely a fluke purchase, but yeah, I agree. Search hard and find what you can before these are out of reach. Hell, I just got my '10 STi right before the announcement hit. I know they're eventually coming back so we'll see what happens, but I can already see the average price for used ones has gone up 3-4K for my generation and below, while the current ones have skyrocketed!

Nissan gave us so much. Thanks to them, we got the S13, S14, S15, Hakosuka, R30, R31, R32, R33, R34, R35, 350z, 370z, 400z, and of course, the Juke.
I feel as an enthusiast of Nissan in modern day cars, I seldom greet or present myself as someone that appreciates them a lot.
People think of crappy builds and ricers, but in my eyes Nissan has given the real enthusiasts anything they wanted.
The SR20, RB series, VG,VQ, VR, and VK has truly encompassed a LOT of engine configurations an enthusiast could love.
I am not the guy who only speaks for the GTR or the top of what nissan has made.
They have seriously made me love even what i disliked in the beginning.
I feel as though Nissan really dominated the car scene, they had multiple different cars like the 350Z and the R32, R33, R34, R35 and so much more, they were one of the greatest car manafacturers at that time winning serveral championships, its a shame it all died a little too quick, but hopefully the 400Z can maybe remind us or bring us back to those days.
Don't forget about the R35 which was one of the best car for 10 years in my opinion
And the rest of it it stay still cool, no sub zero car

Our old family car is a Nissan Cefiro A31 that had an RB24s which is carbureted. have many memories in the car and we planned to get a full rebuild; remove the stock head and converted into fuel injected twin cam while keeping the block and the rest. It's sad that's been piling dust for a long time.

It sucks that people purchase cars like this and end up never being able to do anything with them. They end up in scrap yards eventually. Its why cars like this are so expensive as well.

Nissan are absolutely crushing it when it comes to afforadble family cars, especially electric ones now with the sakura being released, having both the leaf and sakura. The proto z looks fucking sick but 75k for a new Z isnt really something people can afford, which of course, its a sports car its not supposed to be affordable but i would really like to see them revisit at the very least the S-Chassis, the gtr will never stop being made, they may pull a supra mk5 and make it different but idk.
S30's, 510's, SX's, GTR's. What a treat to have been driving from the 70's into the 90's must've been.
S30 is my dream car to this day and even tough I'm 14 I believe that in the future I'll own one 🤞

My favorite dream Nissans I like are the c130 laurel/ c210 skyline/ f31 Nissan leopard zenki. Nissan got so much more models then the ones you just put on , like lots. The ones I got is a s14 zenki, Infiniti m30(leopard), and Datsun 610 coupe(nissan bluebird)

Honestly if Nissan has to sell all these dumb newer models to be able to have the capitol to fund the reproduction parts program, then I'm fine with it. Spent years dreaming about the R33 GTR, waited 2 years while the one I bought sat in storage in Japan, and finally got my hands on it in 2020. She was down for most of last year as I pulled the engine and trans to do a single turbo conversion and now I can say she truly is fun and rowdy on the streets.

Since they're going to stop making cars with internal combustion engines in 2030. Each car we get is like a farewell to that era of automobiles and these types of videos do emphasize that feeling that this an end to an era.

Edit: actually now that I think about it, this is actually something A LOT of little dark age car videos do. I saw a Toyota one which was ridiculous considering how far they have come with their performance vehicles lately. They’re literally making more in the span of a few years than they ever did over decades. Then I saw a Honda one, obviously not acknowledging how Honda never dropped the TYPE R and it’s better than ever right now.
