Man I feel so blessed where I live. My go to River, average native brookie size- 11-12”, average wild bow/brown size - - 13-14”, average stocker brown/bow size - 15-16”….ans you’re pretty much guaranteed at least a couple 16-18 inchers, and usually one 20 or 21 incher stocker on every other expedition. And count wise, usually a dozen plus over a half mile couple hour wade. I’m super spoiled where I’m at in New England. Got my first palomino/golden rainbow a couple weeks back too! 21 inch. Was pretty!

Hey I'm interested in getting into fly fishing. What rod and reel would you recommend? Want something for small brooke trout all the way up to small mouth bass. Thanks any advice is appreciated.
I would recommend getting a budget 9 foot length 5 weight Rod with a matching reel.
