    Thank you for yet another detailed and very helpful review, you're channel is a goldmine for this particular niche of mocs and custom models

    This is the only AT-TE moc that gets the orientation of the footpads correct. They form an X shape rather than the + shape that all the lego sets have used
    I mentioned/demonstrated it on my AT-TE mods video, and I was partially inspired by this MOC :)

      Brick Vault’s also gets it right, thankfully.

      Because of you review I've decided to build this model too but change a few minor things. I've currently got 56% of the parts list (currently listed on rebrickable) found within my own collection @@brickcats
      You mention all the pieces that were able to get into differen colours then listed on the page itself.
      I would've been helpfull if you could've placed these specific part numbers in your description or as a comment and pinned it on this video.
      I understand for now its too much of a hastle but maybe for future video's like these it could be a very nice addition 😄

    Bought it, without removing any piece I had from the list I got 150€, 7 stores so around 210€ with shipping

    awesome video. Do you think this atte is compatible with brickvaults dropship? And is it even better? I prefere the looks of this one regarding the legs but the brickvault version has the upper hand in the interior details

    • @brickcats
      @brickcats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's almost certainly not compatible although I haven't really looked into the Brick Vault version. Bousker has made a dropship as well that is compatible.
      Without having built BV's version I can't say with certainty which one is "better" - but I prefer the exterior visual details of Bousker's. I'm not big on interiors.

      @@brickcats yep i agree on the at-te for Sure! Sadly its the different way around for the dropship 😂 I personally prefere Davids Design on BV so getting the BV Dropship and the AT-TE from Bousker but i have no information on how their Mechanisms Work 😬

    Amazing! I just wish there was a better way to get parts than to buy from online stores or bricklink. So hard. Would be INSANE if somebody made a website where you could buy the parts/set to mocs.

    • @brickcats
      @brickcats  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Such sites do exist but you’re usually looking at a 60-70% markup in the best case scenario to cover the labor it takes to do the sorting. It also usually takes longer to arrive because most of these businesses don’t keep sets ready to ship out on the shelf.

    Great review as usual! You ever heard of the moc builder Rebel Builder? You should check out some of his TIE's, they're some of the best I've seen for a much cheaper price than Brickvault!

    • @brickcats
      @brickcats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen Rebel Builder’s models but so far I don’t love any of them. Who knows, that could change.

    Is the cockpit able to fit a mini or just for show?

    • @brickcats
      @brickcats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can fit a minifigure and possibly two, but it's tight and you can't really see them through the trans-brown bricks.

    I finished building this designers take on the gunship. Love the looks but it was a pain to put together. Do you think this at te is harder to build than the gunship? Greetings

    • @brickcats
      @brickcats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found the AT-TE a much more straight forward build than the gunship.

    • @Max_W02
      @Max_W02 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brickcats Ok, thought so because of what you told in your Videos. I Used my tweezers Every 5 minutes in the Gunship haha. It was really really hard for me to build, the only parts i could really enjoy were the Doors, the big canons and parts of the Wings, Rest was pretty stressful. Ty :)

  • @axcenomega
    @axcenomega 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    @brickcats 5:30 of your video adds a little bit where you don’t see the middle section flex but I think thats untrue if you watch the frames 35:20-35:22 you can see the middle portion of the at-te flexing in “STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS” animated movie from 2008

    • @axcenomega
      @axcenomega 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also you can see the mid section moving while it walks up the cliffside and the at-te that peels off the cliff as it explodes at 35:43 has it’s midsection clearly flex after it falls

    • @axcenomega
      @axcenomega 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also on frames 36:39-36:40 you see exactly how the at-te accomplishes it’s ability to flex

      Starting at 6:24? The interior isn't that special so I didn't concentrate on it.
