Shout out to @Jeff Collins and @ Roy Rocker for the request as well
No one will ever play like him
He was the master of his gi guitar
Reackting to life withoutyou
Welcome to the greatness that was Stevie ray Vaughan R.I.P. died in a helicopter accident when he was just 36 😥 this man was and will forever remain the goat🎸✌️ the look on y'all's faces when he turned his guitar around.......... priceless 😲
He was 35
YES 😎
He was 35. About 5 weeks shy of his 36th birthday
The emotion in this song is incredible. He never stops to think what he's doing, it just flows, an open conduit. He is amazing.
Watching people discover SRV especially this particular song at El Macambo never gets old. Some say that this is the best performance ever recorded and I agree - He's the GOAT of guitar. I'll throw a suggestion most don't = The Vaughn Brothers - Long way from home! That song is a speeding ticket! (another must is Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland, that is one of the baddest songs I've ever watched. They kill it)
long way from home and Telephone song +Others by the brothers lol.
@blast,
I’ve been trying for years to get someone to check out that album and especially that song. It’s the essence of what makes them great: Jimmie’s rhythm and Stevie’s lead, and they’re feeling it so much that they actually can’t help but accelerate. Stevie finally got to make his album with Jimmie, but… I remember hearing “Hard To Be” for the first time on Austin radio on Friday afternoon, and on Sunday I turned it on and heard “…no survivors; our condolences go out to the Vaughan family…” What??!!! We didn’t know if it was one of them, both of them… but they played together with such happiness. Thank you. That’s an album everyone should know.
best performances were when hed just show up to Antones on a tuesday or some other random night and join in or when you could hear the guys rehearsing at the place off academy and south congress. seeing him under the stars at auditorium shores or a festival at zilker park
One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to attend one of Stevie's concerts!!! This is my favorite DVD concert of SRV, and I think I have them all!!
Aww
I was in the parking lot after the concert at Alpine Valley when his helicopter crashed. I have never in my life seen fog as bad as that night. I still don't understand why anyone would have tried to fly. The concert was one of the best. Eric Clapton, SRV, and Robert Cray. Three goats on stage at the same time, unbelievable.
@@patrickarts9091 Wow Thats Crazy!!
I got to see him 7 times. I was in my 30's, had it together enough to be able to get tickets and get to the shows. I'm still brokenhearted and missing him. He got me HIGH.
I was waiting for him to spin and play behind his back..lol I was there that night . You had the same look I did..lol
That’s cool
So Stevie was a unknown struggling artist playing clubs in Dallas, TX.
Almost everyday he'd stop in a guitar shop nearby and play on all the guitars and fell in love with that Fender Stratocaster he's playing.
He couldn't afford it, so the owner gave him the guitar, if he'd promise to stop bothering him. 😅
That guitar became his "#1",and favorite to play...
It never left his side, and since he had little money, club owners after a show, would let him sleep on the pool tables, and he slept with that guitar!!! 🎸 🎸 🎸
😂😂 love the back story
He used 13 gauge strings while most guitarists used 9 gauge. He used the heavier one to accommodate his aggressive style playing. Check out Life Without You, he loses a tooth changes guitars 🎸
I see I love it
And yet.. often broke strings.. but not a problem for SRV.. "Look at Little Sister"... if you weren't paying attention, you wouldn't even know why he had to change guitars... lol
@@GinMae yes and one of my favorite songs by SRV
True he used very heavy strings, but he also tuned his guitar down a half step (a la Hendrix) so that makes them a bit easier to play. You're correct that his style was so aggressive that he would have been breaking thinner strings left and right.
Live at Capital Theater N.J.!🤯
I saw Stevie in Seattle 1985 super humble man and he loved his fans, Life without you live at capital theater by Stevie will blow your hair back the guitar playing is next level and there is a message in the song that applies to today’s social climate.
Have to check it out
Capitol Theatre in Passaic NJ?? It's a Pizza Hut now!!!!!
Now you know. Thanks for telling your friends. Stevie lives on . He continues to touch all those who come across him.
STEVIE BEING STEVIE!! 😍😁🐐🔥🎸🤯😍😁🐐🔥🎸🤯🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
The goat!! Welcome aboard he’s the goat, watch more.
He did love that guitar. He took it to school with him every day when he was a kid, played it all day every day. You take genius natural ability and combine it with loving it and playing all the time, and there’s still only one Stevie. He grew up in Oak Cliff, south of Dallas, and followed his older brother Jimmie to Austin when he was 14 or 15. I was blessed to see both of them play many times.
It been said by many that Stevie was not of this earth that the way he could play was unearthly, supernatural.
💙💙💙💙💙... I'm here for Stevie Ray Vaughan... great reaction... subscribed!!! Please keep going down the Stevie Ray Vaughan rabbit hole!!! Thanks!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Loved this. Stevie Ray was a bad, bad man. Just watching both of you make the stank face while he was playing made me happy. Thanks for reacting to a true master, he gave a lot of joy in an unfortunately short amount of time.
Anything live from SRV.... it's unreal...GOAT 🐐
THE best blues guitar performance ever recorded, PERIOD.
Some people say the guitar was playing him. Stevie was just one with that guitar. What a loss it was to lose him. RIP Stevie.
Great reaction. Rest In Peace to the best there ever was.
Stevie Ray Vaughan is a GOAT!!!!!!!! Gone to soon! Thank you for reacting to this amazing performance!!!!!!!
I love to see younger people appreciating Stevie Ray, fantastic reaction Dave from Sydney Australia.
This man!! ❤️❤️❤️
I can and have listened to him all day! He is definitely one that left us way way too soon.
Best slow blues performance ever recorded RIP SRV
SRV, was self taught and played by memory and added his touches to every song
Thank you for this!!! The best reaction EVER!!! The look on your faces!!!! Priceless!!! Thanks for looking us up on the request! I promise I will never steer you wrong with a request! Maybe we could try Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven". It has a mysterious feel with an amazing guitar solo. Thank you for taking so much time to look me up, that made me feel special... Looking forward to your 10k party video!!!!
Our pleasure!
Kudos for not pausing during that performance. I believe this is SRV's most famous one. So appreciate whoever keeps Stevie's incredible music alive. Most soulful Blues guitarist I've ever heard. In my humble opinion the GOAT. I just can't get enough and have to listen to him EVERY DAY.
There was magik in Stevie, more than his talent, and he gave it to us freely. I do believe that Stevie Ray was touched by God for the purpose of giving happiness and healing to people. And next please pick any version of Voodoo Chile, the miracle baby of Jimi Hendrix, another genius guitar god, who was the breakthrough guitarist of the Century. To repeat somebody's words; "Jimi opened the door then Stevie kicked it in". RIP,. King SRV and Jimi the 1st. ☮️to all.
You guys have the right idea about "reactions" without all the interuptions.
Wow, thank you!
The expression on your faces when he went behind his back was PRICELESS!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Larry Davis Wrote and sang this back in 1958 I believe … he is a Texas Blues Singer you should check out his version also .
SERIOUSLY - THIS IS THE BEST REVIEW OF STEVIE RAY!!! NOT ONE INTERRUPTION - I'M TOTALLLY SHOCKEd!!!!
This was the BEST REVIEW of STEVIE RAY of all time on TH-cam - You didn't interrupt Stevie Ray once - Thats awesome!!!!

The looks on your faces when he goes behind his back was priceless!
Just from hearing Texas Flood, Stevie goes down in my book as the 🐐hands down, it was amazing, wish I was there to see him play.
@@brandonnshante I only got to see him live once and he was great. Lost him waaay too soon.
Great reaction. Thanks for the shout out. I loved the looks on your faces when SRV went behind his back.
No problem!!
Thank you so much for not pausing this during the performance. Great reaction.
Our pleasure!!
Saw him live a few times.,Incredible!
As others have stated, they are blown away by his creative endurance. Me too. Thanks.
Yess!!! You're welcome
You would also enjoy Jeff Healey - See The Light (Live). Jeff has played with Stevie to you know he has talent.
Ok great to know
Stevie was the best!! RIP... I was lucky to see him on his last tour. Amazing guitarist. He had become clean and sober, and I wonder what he would have done if he hadn't passed. He had so much talent. Check out Mary Had a Little Lamb, Life by the Drop, Little Wing, Pride and Joy....there are so many!
Glad u got to Stevie 😍🥰 ANYTHING SRV LIVE....inc his Soundcheck is much appreciated...subbed on Stevie lol MORE PLZ 🙏🙏❣❣
Thanks for the sub!
I remember when we first started listening to Stevie & Double Trouble my wife said to me, "That mans voice makes my ovaries tremble". Do you feel that Shante? Your eyes were glistening the way hers did.
We've got all their albums on vinyl & still blast them out on the stereo regularly. Our neighbours must be fans, because they haven't complained yet.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
We lost a legend when we so tragically lost Stevie Ray!! His live performances were EPIC! RIP Stevie ❤
Stevie Ray Was THE GUITAR! ❤❤❤❤
Try to listen to his Voodoo Chile, Mary Had a little Lamb, Life Without You. Jim
The BEST that ever walked the Earth!
I love this reaction so much, I hit subscribe! You guys are amazing!
Thanks Kerry, you are very appreciated, more to come.
Great reaction. Subscribed. Another great one from Stevie is Pride and Joy.
Thanks for subbing!
He was amazing! That was a tough loss❤️❤️
The late great! RIP. Deep dive on him is a GIFT!!! Lol.
Loved your reactions. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! You're welcome
Shout out to the film crew. Thank you
Thing about talent like that, even if you don't like the genre, you still can't help but listen and watch because of the sheer talent.
We are enjoying the different genres, it's teaching us a lot about music and different genres
@@brandonnshante Yeah, growing up, I was a hard core metal head. It was all I listened to. As an adult, I still love metal, but now I listen to a little bit of everything, it just depends on the mood I'm in.
Nice, honest reaction!
I appreciate that
And you didn't stop it! Thank you ❤️ Buckle your seatbelt for the onslaught of SRV fans. RIP Stevie
No words... 💯
Stevie's sound checks were better than most concerts.
Check out Tin Pan Alley.
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Sky was really crying the day he left us 😢 30 plus years ago just one of the greatest losses in Music 🎶 history
🥲🥲🥲
I can't wait to see you explore all the genres from the late 50's to the 2000's (and there are some great artists today even though they're not as popular). Of course classic rock but don't sleep on soft rock (yacht rock), R&B, Blues, Soul, Pop, metal, and disco. It's all too fabulous to explain; you'll have to experience it for yourself. And these people were skilled, not electronically enhanced. Oftentimes even better live. Pay attention to your recommendations and if the majority of your subs recommend a particular live version be sure to do that one.
Great choice another good one from SRV is cold shot
The kind of musicians we love so much! They're giving everything they have to give! All their minds, souls, everything! Just, beautiful! Magic.....
The legend
🎸💯 Those Texas blues y'all‼🔥
🤯 SRV called his guitar "The One"‼🐐
RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan. ❤ 🕊 🙏
You should also check out "Pride & Joy" & everything else you can find by SRV! ☮ ❤ 🎶
Now, see! Y'all do reactions like they SHOULD BE done! You don't interrupt the music/video while the artist is performing. That's refreshing & it's why I'm your new subscriber in Charlotte NC!
One doesn't simply hear SRV play. It's an experience in pure excellence. ✨️
Couldn't agree more!
I agree with trying Tin Pan Alley featuring Johnny Copeland. And Life Without You live from the Capitol Theater. Both are AMAZING!!!!! And there are many many more SRV videos!!! Always do the live versions.
Brotherman Brandon & The Bright Angel Miss Shante - thank you for the great music and hard work of putting on so much great videos. I know it's hard and takes time, but you are greatly appreciated. If you like this kind of guitar music, give Gary Moore's "The Messiah Will Come Again," "Still Got The Blues,"
and "Parisienne Walkways" a listen. All fantastic songs and guitar artistry. I'm old (in my 70s), white, and walk with a stick, but you guys bring people together and share your insights with us all and bring people together. I've got the old Vets at the Pub checking your channel out and spreading the word about your program. It's great to hear music from our youth.
Thank you Mr Clifton
🐐 of 🎸 ,no one has ever matched his level
please do srv an johnny copeland tin pan alley you will love it
There are a lot of good Stevie Ray songs out there on the Internet, anything from live at the El Macombo was fantastic, also Austin city limits. Actually you can’t go wrong with Stevie Ray Vaughan anywhere anytime, ha ha! RIP Stevie.
He worked at it 7 hour's a day 7 day's a week 365 day's a year. Since he was 10 year's old. He first picked up when he was 4 got good at 6 and mastered it at 10. His wife Lenny said she never heard Stevie Snore but she did hear em play that God Damn Guitar. Thats when your good when you can literally can play in your sleep.
Ok ok .. he played phenomenal then he played it behind his back.. but then he still had the composure to sing. This is a wow moment in music
Fantastic.
Thank you! Cheers!
He is to Blues, as Tom Macdonald is to Rap! GOATS!!!
Just subscribed hoping for more of my all time favorite SRV❤️
Welcome aboard! More to come
@@brandonnshante Great!!!!! Try either Tin Pan Alley featuring Johnny Copeland or Life Without You live from the Capitol Theater.
if the internet should burn down or something ,
i've got every song on DVD with picture , we'll be fine
the amount of times i've listened to him play , one of the best , if not The Best on his own , ever
I checked out a few of your other reactions and I subbed to your channel because I love adding new reactors early on in their journey and watching their musical appreciation grow as they're exposed to so many great musical genres. Enjoying you two so far!
Welcome aboard!
@@brandonnshante I'm 65 years old and grew up with all this music so I know how awesome it is. But I know that a lot of young folks such as yourselves have had a very limited exposure to it unless it's through your parents or grandparents. This is going to be a fun ride!
Three more to go!
Voodoo Chile @ The Capital Theatre, Life Without You @ The Capital Theater, and Believe it or not, Mary had a little lamb.
U will not be disappointed. Trust me!
Great reaction guys, keep up the good vibes ❤
It's great watching people discover the genius that was SRV. He had the best guitarist in the world going "Who is that guy?".
Right!
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats
Y'all!!! Be careful of that SRV rabbit hole. 😂
Quick bio on Stevie: He came onto the scene in 1983 when hair bands, synthesizers, and parachute pants ruled the airwaves. He's unanimously recognized as bringing new life to Blues in an era when Blues was all but forgotten. He loved and respected all of the elder Bluesmen like BB King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Albert Collins, Johhny Copeland, etc, etc, etc., and the beautiful thing about it is that ALL of those guys loved and adored him right back. He would always give props to those guys, and they loved him for it. In fact, Buddy Guy recently said that "Stevie did for Blues what MJ did for basketball."
He's compared to Jimi Hendrix a lot because he played some Hendrix songs, but Stevie's sound is unlike any other. His genius is that he took all of those influences and made them into something truly unique.
He battled drug and alcohol addiction until late 1986 when he got clean, and then he spent the rest of his life helping others with sobriety until his death in 1990.
He was a kind and humble soul and is deeply missed.
Do yourselves a HUGE favor:
**Life Without You at Capitol Theater **
**Voodoo Child at Austin City Limits 1989**
You can thank me later. 😉
Beautifully said Jack💙🎶🎸‼️
Great tribute to SRV❤

Fire 🔥!!!!
“I don’t play with a lot of finesse. I usually play like I’m breaking out of jail!”
- Stevie Ray Vaughan
It's amazing to see something so real that's still a show, compared to what folks paste on or trim up: real vs. fake.
love the reaction...makes me wanna start a channel with my boo!!!...lol definitely got a sub!👍👍👍
You should!
Thanks for listening to the whole song before reacting!
SRV = THE G.O.A.T.
