    I like the way you actually show how the fly looks in the water something I think more people need to do

      +Flytying.eu Do you use a 4 piece rod? How small are the sections?
      I only have experience using a 2/3 piece. Do you still get a nice action from the sage? In terms of pike fishing is it a light rod? I would like something that will handle Pike but will also be light enough to be a lot of fun and get a good fight out of the fish.

    I keep coming back to this video and the one in which you are fishing with this fly, I`m obsessed with it and have most of the materials for it. It appears to me that the finished fly is around 10 inches long ( I`m from the USA ) is this correct? BTW I love your videos but the two I`ve mentioned are still my favorites!!! Peace and brother love to you and all.

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What a blast from the past :) Nice to hear!
      Yeah 10-12 inches is around the mark :)

    I've been tying some of your patterns for like here in america, And I am a little skeptical about the hook up ratio with so much material behind the hook. Do you have that issue?

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well when poppin for pike you will get a lot of strikes where the pike misses the target. But i find this pattern to work very very will :)

  • @jackson9960
    @jackson9960 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    how do you attach your leader so it doesn't sink the popper but the pike can't break you off?

    What size rod and weight do i need to cast this flies and catch large pike? Thanks

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the sage pike ;) Is says that is is a 10 Wt but i like to use a wf 9 on it so 8 or 9 is great fro pike. A good pike line helps a lot
