    Love your videos and especially the commentary! Really appreciate all the time you put into your passion. Can't wait to get some better material and tie some of these patterns. Hoping to do my first fly fishing trip for big pike this spring, here in Canada. Keep the videos coming!

    Great looking fly, but do you have a waverunner tow the fly out to the middle of the lake or pond??

    have you ever tried to make one of those flash hackles with wire in the form of a dubbing brush?

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well not with wire. But i often use a flash hackel in a dubbing loop, these are easy to kame and works great. Will make one for you in the next pike movie ;)

    nice video and nice fly! i kinda scanned the video and i didn't see you use a lot of glue on it, is there a reason for this?

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well glue is always good but it takes a long time to harden and so on in a video. I do use a lot og thread and this will do for the most part. But yes do use glue!

    Every time you tie a fly, you must use $35.00 worth of materials... or more in every fly you tie.

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well pike flies are big and bad. I have loads of cheap pike patterns, but every now and then i just like to go "all in" and make flies that just look great. They also fish great btw :)

      I did not mean anything negative at all in my comment. You tie beautiful flies and you are very talented. If you can afford to spend that much on a fly and the fly does what you want it to do... then the money is well spent. Quality costs money... no matter what you do.

    I wanna see you cast this bastard......bet it weighs 5 pounds wet.

    • @NordicAnglers
      @NordicAnglers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it is a big badass fly and it is heavy, but with my sage pike it casts fine. I dont cast this 30 meters but for pike 15-20 is more that enough!
