I moved from MA to Hollywood Beach in 1990. Rent prices were a little bit different back then - $700/mo for a 2/2 with a direct Intracoastal view on the 7th fl of a beautiful 14-floor building, across A1A from the beach. The same unit is renting for over $2500/mo. now.
Prices are indeed crazy but still amazing to live here! :)

Most everyone is a realtor and aren't allowed to say how much things are to give a better idea of cost for planning. This is actually just right so many thanks. What's North iami like as apposed to say North Beach or there abouts.? Zip code area? Where would, so far, you suggest NOT going? Maybe not worth the time searching? Aloha

Absolutely! But to answer your question now. I would say to play it safe I would have at least 10k saved up just to move and get yourself settled in. Also having to pay first, last, and security deposit up front. However, if you already have a job lined up and will start working right away. I’d say 7k would be fair. Food and furnishing your place is what some people forget and it can really add up! Miami also just became the most expensive city to live in for the USA. So depending on your area that plays a huge factor. But having a roommate cuts all the costs in half!

How do you like north Miami? I’m moving to Miami in July and don’t know what area to move to. I’m considering coral gables or north Miami
North Miami I think is honestly perfect. It’s not too crowded like downtown and still closer to Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. Coral Gables is more South and away from everything else

1550 a month for everything. And the neighborhood is great! Everyone is to themselves and never any issues !

Nope! The price actually went up from the original price point. However, if I were to move out they would 100% increase it again. The market is crazy right now

Located in North Miami ! From my experience at that price I would recommend looking for a roommate on Facebook so that it cuts down the cost. You’ll have your own room but just share living space. 1300 for your own spot in a good location could be tough! As the market is only growing in Miami

Bunche Park, Carol City, Opa Locka, West Little River, Brownsville, in the Miami area. Perrine, Goulds, Naranja, and Homestead a little south of Miami. These neighborhoods will fit your budget!!
